Spacious and convenient

Plenty of room and beach access is nearly just across the street. We had a great time.

The room was not swept or mopped before our arrival. The furniture in the living room was strewn out in random spots looked very messy. The carpets were not vacuumed- our toddler got several sand spurs and black dirt on his feet walking in the unit (on day 1 before we even tracked in anything). Management assured us housekeeping would come back out but never came. The unit smells like sewage- this was addressed with management and they assured us maintenance would come out but they never did. The garbage disposal doesn’t work, the bunk room bath tub doesn’t drain properly, the ice dispenser doesn’t work on the fridge, the TV in the second king bedroom doesn’t work. If you are planning on getting good sleep make sure you don’t sleep in the first king bedroom- there wasn’t much difference in that mattress and the pullout couch mattress. Disappointed in this unit to say the least.

2024 Beach Vacation

This property was awesome! The location was perfect. Our family absolutely loved it. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the photo stated that one couch converted to a queen size bed but neither couch converted. I do wish that there was a pantry but overall it was perfect!

Cozy house with a great view!

We booked the Surfcaster house because of its location right on the beach. We were blown away by the beautiful views but also the charm of the house! We spent our mornings and evenings relaxing on the deck with the ocean view. The house was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect location and views!

The location of this home can’t be beat! Close enough to run to grab food or shop in just a few minutes but far enough from the high rise condos to avoid the crowds. The deck being partially covered was perfect and very spacious. Very close to the water so was able to sit on the deck and watch the kids play on the beach. Home is one of the older beach homes I have stayed in and the cleanliness left a little to be desired but spending the majority of the time outside anyway, the location and deck were more than enough to make up for this. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed.

Such a great house!

We love coming to the Surfcaster- the location is fantastic, the beach is beautiful, and the house is super cute. It is definitely on the older side, but that’s not been a problem for us.

Awesome Place!

Very clean and well decorated. Looks just like the pictures. Great location. Management was very responsive to messages. They had beach chairs available for use, but laying out on the sundeck felt like you were right on the beach so we didn't even use beach chairs. I would defiantly stay here again.

Thanksgiving stay

We enjoyed our vacation. The property was as depicted on the site. My biggest issue was that we paid for a beachfront vacation, but were not notified that they would be working on the beach 24/7 with large dozers and workers pretty much the whole time we were there. The dozers beeped incessantly. We were not allowed to be on the beach and had to go down to the public beach. The house shook constantly from the work, and the work lights shone in the house all night. It would have been nice to have been notified that this was a possibility before not being able to sleep for days and not being able to be on the beach. Our first beach vacation in 8 years, and we couldn't enjoy it due to maintenance being performed on the beach.

Perfect Everything

This is the second time we’ve rented this house and we absolutely love it! We will be renting again for our next beach trip. The owners are fantastic. Checked on us and made sure everything was good. The house is the perfect location, not just for right on the beach but close to everything you need. We love that half the deck is covered and the other half isn’t. The beds are super comfortable. And, the house is the perfect size for the family to be close but can spread out.

It was exactly what we were hoping it would be!

Pros: - So close to the beach - some places are on the beach but the walk from the house to water is a bit long. Not here! It’s just over the sand dune. - There were beach chairs and sand toys available under the house which we didn’t know about when we booked, so it was an pleasant unexpected surprise. The beach chairs were perfect on the beach. - It had a very comfortable and home-y feel. The place isn’t overly big, but we had 8 adults and we never felt crowded and everyone had their own space. - 2 full bathrooms - The porch! It’s very big, with half of it covered and the other half uncovered. So you could chose whether or not you wanted to be in the sun while all still being together - Kitchen was well-stocked with pans, dishes, glasses and utensils. Cons (not really cons, but rather FYI’s): - We had some trouble unlocking the door when we first got there. Instructions would have been helpful. However, we made a quick call which was promptly answered and we were in. - With 8 adults, the one bedroom with bunk beds was less than ideal, but would be perfect for kids. - Location is perfect for the quietness but we needed to drive if we wanted to go anywhere. Town and stores were a few miles away. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beach within reach

The house was very clean. The weather didn’t cooperate the best, but we could still enjoy watching and hearing the waves under the covered patio. The windows could use an update. As it grew dark we ended up with a few flying insects in the house and no clue how they got in other than the windows not being the best. We were more secluded and enjoyed the beach not being overly crowded on this end. We would likely stay here again.

Great location and Amenities!

We enjoyed our stay! The house had a great location right on the beach with minimal beach traffic. The back porch was nice and relaxing and the house had plenty of amenities.
