Great Holiday Weekend

The property was clean and neat and in a great location away from all the busyness of the holiday weekend crowd. Just what we were looking for to spend July 4th holiday and celebrate with family. Highly recommended!

Perfect Little Vacation Home

We enjoyed a wonderful week at the Playful Pelican. Everything was as stated in the listing, the beds were comfortable, and everything needed was available. The owners were great to communicate any time we had a question. We highly recommend Playful Pelican!

Cozy clean and dog-friendly home in quiet location

We love the Playful Pelican for its quiet neighborhood and close proximity to beautiful dog- friendly Ft. Morgan beach. The house has every modern convenience, is squeaky clean, and beds and furniture are very comfortable. We have stayed here before and would love to stay again. One of the most well maintained VRBOs we have ever stayed in!

Playful Pelican Stay

Playful Pelican was perfect little getaway. The owners have done an extraordinary job capturing the beach atmosphere and creating a little haven to enjoy just relaxing on the coast to enjoy the beach and all it entails. The owners made check in easy and were always available if a problem should present itself. The house had everything you would need, including beach stuff. Highly recommend putting this one on you list to check out when visiting Fort Morgan. Its not directly on the beach but the one way in and out street created some seclusion and everyone we met to and fro were extremely pleasant to talk to.

Fantastic beach getaway

My family and I visit Fort Morgan at least once a year, but this was the first time to stay at this beach house. It was exactly what we hoped for. Spotless, well-maintained, and well supplied with everything we needed to truly get away. The walk to the beach is very short and the beach itself was clean and lightly populated with other families being respectful of everyone’s experience. We were there to relax in the sand and eat excellent seafood and we checked both boxes. The owners responded quickly to any questions we had prior to arrival and during our stay. We’ll be back.

perfect beach house

We had the most relaxing vacation at the Playful Pelican. It was incredibly clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy. We loved that it came equipped with beach towels, beach wagon/toys, chairs so we didn't need to pack all of the extras which made packing so much easier. We were able to take our two pooches with us and they loved the trip as much as we did. Fort Morgan is our favorite area--the beaches are quiet and not crowded. There are restaurants and small stores close by. The marina is fun to check out and has a nice restaurant, dock store, ice cream shop, and it has fishing charters as well.

Playful Pelican

This was a wonderful property! The home was very well stocked with everything you could ask for to enjoy your stay. The furnishings and decor were very nice, with new appliances throughout the kitchen. Plenty of games, puzzles, and books were on hand to keep everyone entertained during the inevitable pop-up rain showers. The storage area under the house contained loads of toys and gear to enjoy the sand and surf, along with a cart to transport that was the envy of the beach! The outdoor shower was perfect for shedding all the sand when returning from the beach. The owners were very responsive and ensured we had all of the info we needed to enjoy our stay. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing trip to Fort Morgan!

Perfect beach house

This is a great little house on a good street, with a family friendly perfect stretch of beach. When we left to check out more of the area, the kids protested, and they were right. This beach area was the cleanest, nicest, and super convenient from the house. Some of the other, neighboring streets were kind of spooky in the off season, but this street wasn't. The house was great and open living area worked well as a place for quality family time. We saw dolphins, the Blue Angels, lots of birds. Kids played in the sand and picked up shells and we all boogie boarded. We saw anglers catching fish, so might try that next time.

USSSA World Series/ Beach Vacation

Everything was as good or better than described or shown in pics. We look for seclusion when we go to the beach and we found it here. Plus it was only about a 30 minute drive to the ballpark. Property and hosts were phenomenal. My only recommendation would be to bring bug spray. The mosquitoes were pretty worrisome at night, which I'm sure was due to excessive rainfall prior to our arrival.

Great place to disconnect

This is a great place to get away. It is a very quiet area. Owners were great with communication. The property expectations are clearly posted. We loved having no carpet and a safe place for our fur babies. We brought our own wire collapsible dog crate so our babies were cool and comfy while we were away. Until we visited the area I didn’t know how important a lawn service was for late night fur baby potty trips. High grass in the middle of the night is a no for us. The owners have gone to great lengths to insure a perfect stay. We hope to visit again.

As Goldilocks says, "This one is just right..."

I've rented many properties from Georgia to Hawaii, and our experience here was exceptional. The hosts were extremely helpful and communicated in a timely manner. The Playful Pelican is extremely clean, organized, and the hosts have gone above and beyond to put all information about the area at your fingertips. The outdoor shower was a favorite after a hot day at the beach. You will find anything you might need there! Everything is labeled and neat which was great! Give it a try! You won't regret it. (The only thing I wished it had was a full size mirror on the back of the master bedroom door so I could have seen what my outfits looked like) I really just can't say enough good things about our experience! It was great. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Great beach retreat

The house is well curated, thoughtful and caring. The communication is very thorough. Maybe too much for the current landscape of VRBO. However, I anticipate most homeowners will become as thorough as these hosts. Especially those wanting their home well kept for their personal use. Away from the house, Fort Morgan is a gem. Quieter. Calmer. Most of the beach amenities were well above average items that we were allowed to use, ie the beach cart, the outdoor shower and the under house seating area. We will certainly choose this home should we return to the area with our family of four.

Beach Getaway

The Playful Pelican was wonderful! Our stay there was so enjoyable.. The house was very clean, really cute beach decor and had absolutely everything we needed. Location to the beach was only a short walk. We definitely plan on staying there again!😎

Fantastic beach house

We have been vacationing at Gulf Shores (Fort Morgan area) for at least 8 yrs now. This is hands down the best place we have stayed. Very clean and just as described. The owners were so nice and accommodating. Would highly recommend.
