Overall, the property and location is ideal with a beautiful view of ocean. The condo decor adds a nice touch, and the kitchen is well-stocked. However, we experienced a few issues during our stay. 1. We were forced to hand wash dishes for 9 people for nearly 2 days due to broken dishwasher and delay in maintenance team.2. The temperature was pretty warm and humid, even with the thermostat set to lowest setting. 3. The fridge is pretty limited in space and has issues staying closed. We were constantly having to check it. 4. The rug in the living room is in desperate need of replacing. We have vacationed in Martinique for nearly a decade, and while we enjoyed our stay, we’ll likely find another accommodation for next time.

Amazing condo

The condo was the perfect size. It was equipped with all we needed. It had a nice pool and the beach was just a short walk across the wooden walkway. The beach was not too crowded which was why we specifically booked this condo.

Beach Vacation

The property was in excellent condition and clean upon arrival. Beach items (chairs, boogie boards) were available and that made the stay even more pleasant. Chores required during checkout were simpler and easier than other properties where I've stayed.

Perfect place to relax!

Our new favorite place to stay in Gulf Shores! So peaceful and relaxing. The condo was beautiful, clean & spacious. My only suggestion for those staying is bring some bug spray! The mosquitoes are bad on the balcony at night.

Wonderful

We plan to book in the same spot next year! Very clean and easy beach/pool access. This was our second time staying there so we plan to continue that next year. Very private with an “at home” feel to it.

Beautiful, quiet property

Love the location but there are a couple things that need to be changed.

The property is definetly in need of updating and a good deep cleaning. At one point I was laying on the living room floor on a blanket with my 4 month old grandson and you could see layers of dust under the sofa and the TV stand. The tile in the bathrooms are cracked in multiple places. The carpet in the bedrooms are showing their age with staining and matted texture. The condo is well stocked with kitchen items except there was one kitchen hand towel for the week and nothing to wash dishes with (no dish cloth or sponge) so ended up buying these items to make life easier. You can tell this condo is run by a management company because the sheet and towels are obviously commerical quality. The sheets are virtually impossible to keep on the beds and have poleyster in them and the mattress pad has some rubber or plastic in it so I would wake up just sweating from the combination. A good quality matress pad and cotton sheet would be wonderful. We had multiple days where we were unable to use the beach due to Stinging Sand Flies. I don't know if this is due to the dunes between the condos and the beach not being maintained or if there is anything that the property owners can do about them but this was our second year at Martinque on the Gulf and both years there have been days that the Sand Flies are horrible. Overall - the location is wonderful, the condo needs to be updated and deep cleaned.

Fort Morgan 7/2022

This place was beautiful and the perfect location! The only downside was the air in the unit. We were not allowed to move it below 72 and it was very humid/moist in the unit for our whole stay. We did turn on fans and close blinds during the day to help some. The beach however was perfect and not busy at all!

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay at the Martinique! Plenty of room for the six of us, lovely view, and a short walk to the beach (which is rarely, if ever, crowded). I am a bit picky about towels so I would have liked more kitchen towels/cloths and extra hand towels/cloths. Otherwise, we had everything we needed.

Nice Area to stay. We would go back but not in this specific unit.

The property and surrounding area was very nice. Our unit however lacked basic goods one would expect in a condo. -Internet was down until our last day. Although technician came to fix it still did not work and my daughter lost 2 days of work. -Toilet paper was not sufficient, we called property management and none was delivered. - No Kleenex in unit. - No beach towels provided, we would have been happy to wash prior to departure. -No dish soap or sponge to wash dishes. We purchased this on our own. -No spices, salt and pepper would have been nice to have. - No extra blankets which we could have used as some rooms were too cold while other warm.

Perfect Getaway!

Beautiful getaway

Despite the impending tropical storm that hit late in the week, we loved our stay at Martinique. If you are looking for R&R in a more remote location, this is the place to stay. Far away from the noise and traffic found in most beach towns.
