relaxed time

incredible accommodation, its rooms, the kitchen, incredible televisions in each room and living rooms, fabulous balconies equipped to totally relax, this property has been one of my favorites and I will choose it again on my next vacation

Great house! Great Location!

House was perfect for our family of 15 adults/kids.Nice long table for gathering at meals and playing games.Close/easy walk to the beach.We had a great time!

Great opportunity for large families

Our family of 17 people (ages 1-67) had a great time staying at this home during our trip to Gulf Shores. The house fit us perfectly; beds for everyone, 2 large balconies, and a convenient shaded sitting area near the pool. Hosts were great; answered questions immediately. Event sent us a brand new highchair via Instacart once we realized the home did not have one (as posted). Top notch communication and service!Slight downside is the fact it sits on a very busy main road; which is only feet away from the pool. Walk to the beach takes 10 minutes and crosses the busy road.

Excellent location

The property was well located in relation to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We were very pleased having a private pool. The stairs made it a bit difficult for older people to get heavier items inside, but that is unavoidable in beach properties. Pack lightly. The property was nicely decorated and sufficiently large enough for our group of 13. We loved the big table where we could all sit together to dine. Mornings were so pleasant having our coffee on the balcony.

Blue Octopus

The inside of the house was adequately cleaned. However, the sheets/blankets on the pull out sofa and the queen bed in the bunk room had blood on them and they were dirty. The upholstered furniture in the family room is very dirty. Needs cleaned!! The furniture on the outside patios are nice but very dirty. There was lots of trash around the pool area. The sitting area by the pool is filthy. The area rug needs thrown away. The furniture cushions are very dirty. We didn't spend time out there because of the filth. The freezer in the kitchen does not work. We had to keep all our frozen items in the freezer by the pool. Overall, it's a nice place just not adequately cleaned inside and outside but mostly outside. Liked the close proximity to the beach and the easy beach access. I think you need a team of people to just focus on keeping the outside areas cleaned.

Excellent Host!

What a prefect place for our group. Great location with easy beach access! The house was perfect and loved having a pool and outdoor seating area. The host went above and beyond for us! The grill was not working well and they immediately brought a new one to us! I would highly recommend this home to everyone. Communication was superb and the host was there in a flash to answer any questions we had! Perfect! Can’t wait to come back!

Great location, but

Check-in was easy, house was clean and great location. Pool pump was not working when we got there, so pool was cloudy and dirty our entire stay. They said part had to be ordered, so it never worked. Really wish they would have told us this before we came, but was never contacted. Heater on pool was paid for and never worked either. They told us to use community pool and the heater was broken on it as well. Still waiting on refund for pool heater that I paid for. Beds are extremely uncomfortable.

The property was perfect for our large group. Walking distance to the beach and several stores. The pool area was perfect for our teens and parents. The kitchen accommodated our large group very well. No complaints with the property or the host at all.

Birthday Weekend

We stayed at the Blue Octopus to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. The condo was clean, very modern and spacious. We enjoyed the balcony in the morning with coffee. We loved the heated pool. We swam almost everyday we were there. The beds and linens were very comfy. The kitchen well stocked. The host was very accessible and prompt. A storm had rolled through the night before and tripped many breakers throwing out the internet and messed up the pool. The host sent a pool service out immediately to clean the pool and helped with the internet issue. All of this was out of their control due to the weather. Would recommend blinds in addition to curtains in the bedrooms for a little more privacy. Also there was not a wine opener…. We left ours for the next guests. Definitely a 5 star weekend!!

Convenient Comfort

Our stay was fabulous! Our group size of 14 moved around comfortably, there was ample seating for meals. Plenty of cups, plates, silverware, and towels. We wish that there were more pots, and bigger bowls to accommodate our bigger size group for meals that we cooked. Pool and outdoor area was perfect, and the very short walk to the beach made not staying beachside perfect! Our group took the ferry to Dolphin island, played mini golf, and watched the Blue Angels practice (free event). The Aviation Museum is a totally free event and so worthy of the 40 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for large groups

This home was simply amazing. We had a large group of 16 and the home was perfect. The 6 bedrooms were more than enough, we even had extra beds, all bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless, the kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities, pool side grill was a perk. We were just a short stroll from the beach and a few miles from all the popular locations. The property manager, Emile, was quick to respond via text to any questions. Our kids kept saying "10 out of 10 would recommend". This is by far the best home we rented, do not hesitate to book this home for your next trip.
