Absolutely perfect

This little beach house afforded us the most perfect vacation ever! It was about a football field length from a gorgeous beach with very few other people. The house was so well stocked, it had everything. And it was dog friendly, as well as the beach. Cheryle was a great host. We will definitely be back

Home away from home

This was our second time staying at Maw maw’s beach house. It has everything you need and just a short walk to the beach. We will continue to be repeat vacationers enjoying the comfort and convenience of Maw Maw’s beach house!

Maintenance Needed

There is some major maintenance that is needed on this property. The wood flooring is damaged. The subfloor is also very soft in places, so soft that we thought we would fall through in areas if stepped on just right. There were DampRid bags in all the closets that were full of water that needed changed. The house smelled moldy/damp. There is mold in the showers. All of the vents are rusted. The driveway is full of weeds and the grass needs mowed. In other reviews the owned touches on the reason she keeps the grass long. But other lawns are mowed in the neighborhood. And if you look at pictures of the house online the lawn is mowed. The beach equipment like the wagon is broken and rusted out so we couldn’t use it to transport beach items to the beach. The beach umbrella was also broken. The location of this house to the beach was amazing. There were plenty of beach chairs and beach items at the house. The beds were cozy. Unfortunately we feel this house isn’t worth the price we paid for it. Next time we will use a property management company for renting properties. Ones that have a maintenance team so we know for sure what type of property were renting.

We had a wonderful time in Fort Morgan. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We appreciated the beach gear available as well! We will definitely stay here again.

Awesome vacation destination

Our week at this beach house was awesome, It’s a short walk to the beach an the part we like is there ain’t so many people it’s slow going very quiet. Highly recommended this beach. We will be going back!

Perfect house

For 3 ladies and their dogs, this was perfect. Set up perfectly to shower dogs below then air dry them on the deck. Keeps house cleaner and easy to do. Washer/ dryer make packing lighter. Even the neighbors are all friendly at the remote end of Ft Morgan. My 4th stay.

Perfect Getaway

The house was just as described! We had everything we could possibly need. This was our first stay in Ft. Morgan and we loved the peace and quiet. The house is a short walk from the beach and you can hear the waves from the large covered front porch. There was plenty of room for all four of us and my dog Daisy made the porch her favorite spot to soak up the sun. Cheryl was very sweet and accommodating. I highly recommend this wonderful place to stay and hope to return very soon!

Quiet, pet friendly location

Our family stayed at Maw Maw’s house during our spring break trip. The location is great, in a nice, quite area a bit out of town but not too far to head into town for groceries or to go to a restaurant. Four adults fit comfortably in the house. Although it would have slept more people, it would have been a bit cramped with additional adults. The house was a nice walkable distance from the beach and had two nice, covered decks. The house spared no detail with all needed kitchen utensils, games, books, and even a few extra leashes and dog bowls. We had everything that we needed and the owner was very responsive to all communication, even helping us to find a local mechanic for a car issue. We do wish the beds had been a bit more comfortable, but they were adequate. If returning to the area, we would rent this house again.

Spring Break Stay

We booked this property for a Spring Break trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a very short walk to the beach. Plenty of room with all the comforts of home. House was clean and we were able to bring our dogs. We will definitely book again.

Spring Break 2023

Pleasantly surprised by spacious feel of this beach house. Despite the stated smallish sq. footage, it never felt cramped & provided breathing room for 3 adults + 1 medium dog. Overall clean property but couch had off-odor that we noticed the 1st night. It improved with Febreeze provided in house supplies, which were much better stocked than other places we've stayed .

Great stay away from the crowds

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Fort Morgan area partly because it was non-commercialized (no high rises!) The home was located a short walk to the beach and the beach was wonderful! The home itself was very well appointed and prepared for our arrival with toiletries, dish detergent, laundry detergent, etc. Check in was easy with a locking system. There was a convenient gated deck that our two small dogs enjoyed, as well as a deck out back to watch the sunrise. The owners, who we met in person, were extremely accommodating, even letting us fish off the pier at one of their other properties! This is a great home to stay at long term...I wish we had more time there but had to get back to reality 😀

Perfect beach house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maw Maws beach house. It was perfect for me, my husband and our 2 small dogs. The house was perfectly appointed with everything we needed for a great vacation. We have stayed in other properties on this street in the past, this was by far the best yet. We enjoyed sitting on both decks, and loved that there was a front and back porch to sit and enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. Cheryle was so easy to work with and made checking in and out a breeze. We will definitely stay again next year.

Home away from home

Maw Maw’s Place was just as described. Tasteful coastal decor and a home away from home feel. It was short walk from the beach which was great. There’s a wagon to transport everything you need for the beach. Cheryle has beach chairs and an umbrella if needed. There is an outdoor shower which makes it easy to wash all that sand off after a day at the beach. The ocean views from the front and back decks are awesome and you can even hear the waves. Toilet paper, paper towels were provided. My only complaints during our stay is that the grass around the property was extremely tall with cockleburs and one embedded in my dogs paw causing a sore. And, The living room furniture was worn and uncomfortable but who goes to the beach to sit indoors, right? We enjoyed our stay.

Our go to spot

We have been renting this house since 2012 and we have loved every minute of it. The max number of people we have had in the house is 8 and 2 dogs and it's still spacious. I think it's the perfect distance from the beach, I wouldn't want to walk much further when we've had a long day on the beach though. We highly recommend this house to anyone with kids, teens and dogs we've had them all through the years.

Nice cozy house

Very nice location, just a short walk to the beach. Very comfy beds, lots of great beach toys, great parking area under the house..my favorite thing would the porch swing under the house! My least favorite thing would be that the street was flooded most of the week bc it rained a lot during our stay. My sons favorite thing was the ice cream truck!
