The house looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was clean. My only concern was there was only one roll (of very cheap) toilet paper in each bathroom. We bought extra to and pt. I also purchased oven mitts for the kitchen as there weren’t any.

The Modern Pearl was a beautiful home ! It's only a few blocks from the beach and has a private heated pool which was nice and everything you could possibly need for the pool and beach in the little shed area under the house. The kitchen is fully stocked to cook anything , nice open space , big dinner table. The bedrooms each have their own attached bathrooms which was absolutely great being we had a bigger group and didn't have to wait for bathroom needs and the hot water was continuous. Two things I'd suggest in the bedrooms would be dressers and mattresses toppers to make the beds softer , which is a preference of mine , but neither of these opinions would stop me from renting this place again because I 100% would. The host David was excellent , very helpful and nice. In all you can't go wrong renting this house. One thing I do want to mention because I seen it in another review about there being bed bugs -----there ISN'T ANY BED BUGS . This had us scared so first thing we did before taking anything in was thoroughly checked every bed , couch and crevice in the entire house and didnt find not even a trace of anything. Just thought I'd verify that for the ones who read that one review. We really enjoyed our time in Gulf Shores! I would suggest a restaurant called Tin Top it was the absolute best!!!

Our family really loved staying at the Modern Pearl! It was clean, spacious, and relaxing. Our teenage kids each had their own bedroom and bath (and tv) so everyone could enjoy their own space. The main bedroom and bath was very nice. We all liked the 2 large balconies and the large, open family room and kitchen. The location was great with a very easy and safe walk to the beach. It was really close to all the shops and restaurants, but kind of tucked into a little area that had a calming residential neighborhood feel. It isn’t directly on the water, but has nice water views from both the front and rear of the property. The pool was smaller than I expected, but it was really clean and more than big enough for our family of 4 to enjoy. We all agreed that we would like to come back to the Modern Pearl!

Loved our stay in this beautiful home! Location was perfect! Just far enough from the main drag to be peaceful and cozy, but close enough to enjoy all of the perks of the Gulf Shores! There was a nice walking path at the end of the road that I took a run on every day, I loved it! Beds were cozy and the rooms were spacious and clean.

Clean place, wonderful little pool, beds firm but nice and decent views. Highly communicative owners made this easy-peasy! It's plenty close to the beach (we went every day). I particularly enjoyed how it was in a quiet spot. On the strip you might have to listen to motorcycles ripping, but back just a street over you get to hear all the wildlife :-).

House was great for our group of 10. Lots of space and adequate bathrooms,comfortable bedrooms. Kitchen was well supplied for cooking. Location is great- short walk to beach and close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Pool was great and a big hit with everyone. Owner was quick to respond to any questions. House is lovely and we would definitely stay there again.

Family Vacation in April

The house is in a quiet neighborhood and it’s a short walk to the beach. My kids also had a blast in the pool! Overall our stay was great and we all had a great time!

Great for family

We really enjoyed this property. The location was just far enough from Hwy59 to have less traffic congestion. It was an equal walk to the beach or to the lagoon to enjoy the sunset. Four bedrooms, each with their own bathroom let our adult only group enjoy privacy when desired. Jia seemed very appreciative of suggestions. We have do e many rentals in the Gulf Shores area, and this one is near the top. We hope to return to it the next visit to Gulf Shores..

Overall a nice stay!

We had some trouble with the keypad lock and had to find the spare key (it did state this in the checkin information), but it was somewhat frustrating just trying to get inside. The house is really pretty and it felt clean. The kitchen was my favorite spot, but it could use some new pots, pans, and baking ware. It seems it was missing several pieces. The house was supplied with plenty of toiletries and that was very nice. We had trouble with the tvs because the remotes were missing. We reached out to host and she responded that maintenance would take care of it. Unfortunately the maintenance did come by, but never brought any remotes while we were there. We ended up using one remote to change tv settings on each tv. Again, it didn’t ruin our trip but would have been nice to have all remotes. The closet outside was stocked with chairs, umbrellas, toys, and beach wagon. The property does need to be landscaped. It had a lot of weeds growing around the pool area, but again it didn’t ruin our fun in the pool. Overall we had a great time but the property could use a little attention to make it more accommodating.

Wonderful stay

We had a group of 4 adults and 3 teens and both the home and location was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone with room to spare. Jia was a fantastic host and was easy to communicate with. She was always available to answer my questions before and during the trip. There were a few minor inconveniences (not the fault of the host), and she was quick to rectify them. The pool was a bit smaller than we thought from the pictures but it ended up working out wonderfully. We were able to use the wagons, beach chairs, umbrellas and cooler for beach days. The beach access is very close and just a few minute walk. The neighborhood is so quiet. Close enough to town for activities but far enough out that you aren’t bothered by the action. Would recommend 10/10 and we would definitely stay again.

Great Beach stay for groups or families

We had 3 (15 people) families stay from 7/25-729 and had the best time. Having 4 full bathrooms was can’t for getting showered and dress quick without having to wait for a bathroom. The kitchen had all the equipment needed for cooking at home. The beach walk was great even hauling a bunch of stuff and having younger children with us. We would definitely stay here again and recommend friends.

Excellent Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Modern Pearl! One of the most enjoyable things was the location to the beach and all sorts of great restaurants. Jia was beyond helpful! She was highly responsive to any concerns that we had. If we return to Gulf Shores, we will definitely stay at Modern Pearl again!

First Family Vacation

Jia was an amazing host, very accommodating, and responsive! The location was just as described online. It couldn’t have been any closer to the beach (2 block walk) yet away from the hustle and bustle to give you privacy. The pool added an extra addition for those who didn’t want to go to the beach. The rental was equipped with all the necessary amenities. I would definitely stay here again, as a matter of fact, have already recommended to other people!

Wonderful location

We enjoyed our stay! We enjoyed the pool so much especially with crazy heat with our little ones. It was a very short walk or pull in the wagon to the beach. The rooms were very big and beds comfy. Limited kitchen bowls and pans. Very close to town for the grocery stores or restaurants. The home owner was quick to responds to our concerns.
