Price was good but we picked this place because it said comfortable beds. Well one was. Not master bed or the full size in 2nd bedroom it sounded like it was full of plastic grocery bags when you got it and when you moved. Trash can needed either cleaned or replaced in kitchen area. Night before we left I was checking side of bed against wall and found a ziplock bag of chips that definitely wasn’t from us.Toilet in 2nd bathroom wasn’t clean.Luggage rack in bedrooms is a suggestion to put suitcase on.Top shelves in bedrooms had blankets thrown up there instead of neatly stacked. Than would have allowed more storage.Guess we should have spent more for better place. Loved the area.

The condo itself had a great floorplan and good location. The owner said to bring extra toilet paper and paper towel, good job we did because there was none whatsoever in the condo when we got there. Also no soap of any kind (hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap or dishwasher soap). The door had no security lock and the light outside the door was not on at night so we had to use our phone light to see the door combination. The furniture was falling apart. My husband sat on a balcony chair and it was so rusted that a rusty screw broke off it. The TV did not work and when I texted the owner about it they said they couldn’t help. The bath towels were threadbare and had brown stains and hairs on them. The bedsheets had hair and looked like they had not been washed.

The condo was clean and great location. Most ammenites were good The only recommendation would be to upgrade the towels and linens. I don’t have to have high quality but several of our bath towels were very thin and stained. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Disappointed

We have stayed at island sunrise before and liked it and decided to come back. However this trip was different. Our towels smelled like mildew and had to be washed before we used them as well as stained. The top 4 or 5 dishes in plates bowls and saucers and a couple of glasses were nasty and had to be washed. Dead moths in utensil drawer. And 3 of the tiniest pillows were placed on the large king bed. The pool was green and looked like nobody had been maintaining it causing it to be shut down for 2.5 days out of our 4 day stay. Overall wasn’t a great trip. We made it great though but I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they change housekeepers, pool maintenance. The owner did maintain communication when we voiced our concerns and felt bad and didn’t seemed to know about these issues but some of these issues were also complained about 2 years ago in the past reviews.

May visit

Complete property is showing its age. We have stayed at this address off and on over 35 years. Concrete walkways to units need cleaning. One bath was updated not the second one. Why are there no vent fans in the bathrooms? Would prefer an extra security lock for the door. I am sad to say Gulf Shores is getting too crowded for me. Everything was fine in the unit. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you. Did not like dealing with VRBO, prefer to speak with the owners.

On the beach, elevator access, gorgeous view

5 adults, 7 yr and 2 yr kid: King size bed was comfortable and we also found a mattress topper in storage. Plenty of pillows available. Both bathrooms were clean but no extra toilet paper/no toiletries so bring your own essentials. We also brought paper towels. There were a couple bath towels but plenty hand towels which I used to dry off the kiddos and as a bath mat. The shower was spacious but had a shower curtain instead of a door. Dishwasher, washer and dryer all were working properly and well maintained. No key entry made it easier for us to not have to keep track of a key. Just keep the code on your phone. The view was amazing. It’s an elevator ride down from the third floor to the beach with easy access. The gulf isn’t like the Atlantic and that the shore is short, there are postings to keep out of the dunes and be aware of turtles. The beach access has a place to hose off sand, making it easier to clean up. There’s a small pool but we didn’t use it. Something worth noting is that they have carts in the lobby area to help bring in your luggage, groceries or beach gear to your vehicle. That was a blessing so I could carry my 2 yr old around. This was a vacation with my family from Alaska, my mother from Myrtle beach and my husband/kids from Louisiana. We wanted to have a trip together and it was beautiful weather our entire trip. I’m thankful we were able to enjoy the beach together on a rare visit.

Good/bad review

We did like the condo except for a few minor things. The rooms and balcony were super super small for 4 people. There was only 1 washcloth in the whole place and the pool was nasty and I did not really want my child swimming in it. On the other hand, the view was great, the room was clean, and it was quiet!

Great Condo

I was very pleased with our stay at this condo. The view from this condo was amazing!! Right on the beach so not a long walk. Restaurants and stores are within walking distance. Kitchen was stocked with everything you needed to cook simple meals. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Very Convenient Stay at Beach

Communication with Brandy and David was quick and appropriate. We were thrilled of the convenience to the beach. The 3rd floor location near the elevators was also helpful when going to the beach, car, or meals. The convenience to shops and eateries was wonderful. We timed our stay at the end of summer and it wasn’t overly crowded which was great for our family. They even accommodated us checking in an hour early which was a nice treat to get relaxed after our drive. Our only criticisms would’ve been supply of toilet paper, in complete fairness, they informed us that we should bring extra in the instance of low supply, but each bathroom only had one roll. We had forgotten ours but quickly realized that we would need to get to the store to get some for the week. The only other thing was that the elevator would smell pretty icky by the evening after everyone would be riding in it. I don’t fault our host for this in any way. Maybe HOA should include an middle day cleaning though to combat this. Overall, our stay with our children was an accommodating one. I would stay here again. Brandy and David were clear and helpful. We didn’t encounter any problems with anything requiring maintenance during our stay. Thanks for the memories!
