Family Beachside Retreat: Door to Sand in Two Minutes! Six Pools

Bypass elevators or stairs with this step-free ground-floor unit. If the parking spot is available in front of the patio, you can back your vehicle up and unload luggage and groceries right over the railing!

Bedroom #1 of this split floor plan is just right for the young (or young-at-heart!) It's furnished with a full bed plus a set of custom-made solid wood bunk beds featuring extra railings, iron grab bars, glow-in-the-dark anti-slip tape on the ladder steps, and nautical boat cleats to hang up drawstring bags or hats. A flat screen Roku TV with HDMI hookup and a ceiling fan with timer and three LED light color choices tops it off. A large bath in the hallway is just right for guests in this room.

Continuing through the foyer and past a hallway pantry cabinet is the open living space! Stand in the expanded kitchen and watch the surf out over the sand dunes thanks to a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. There's plenty of seating options in this space, including a bench hiding underneath the dining table for space efficiency. The large flat-screen has Roku TV for our guests to stream their favorites, and the game cabinet has board games, cards, puzzles and some books. Don't forget to sign our guestbook before you leave!

The other side of our split floor plan is the spa-like master suite. Sleep peacefully in your sturdy, steel-foundation king bed, with ample storage underneath for luggage. Tucked around the corner is your private en suite bath. An HDMI cable is stored neatly away behind the dresser if you need to connect a device to the flat-screen TV in this room.

Throughout the condo, you'll find additional touches targeted to the traveling families. Nightlights and path lights, USB ports for charging, and plenty of cookware, dinnerware and glassware (plus plates and cups for the littles). Rounding out the stocked kitchen are a toaster, both Keurig and drip coffee makers, blender, hot water carafe, crock pot and hand mixer.

Step outside on the patio and you're treated to a view of one of our resort pool complexes and boardwalks over the dunes to the surf. Seating for two is ready for your morning coffee, and you'll find a storage box with some beach chairs and toys (although we find some guests add to the box ... so the options may be mixed! We try to clean it out every season.)

Venture to the west side of our building and enjoy our more private courtyard pools and hot tub. You will also have access to charcoal grills and a volleyball pit. Through the rest of the resort, enjoy eight tennis courts, a putting green, a basketball court, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Sassy Bass Island Grill and Selah's coffee shop and cafe are both on property. And if golf is your thing, walk over to the award-winning Kiva Dunes public course located next door.

And finally, the expansive beach! Enjoy beach chair service in season, or just pull up your favorite spot of sugary-white sand. There's plenty of it just moments from our door, making it easy to run in for sandwiches or a bathroom break.
