This was our first time in Gulf Shores. We loved the area. This condo met all of our needs beautifully.
I’m pretty picky when it comes to cleanliness. And I do know that it’s not the owners fault, but the property management that hires the staff. That being said, the property manager should make sure the staff is doing a good job.
On our arrival, all seemed good except for the big patio doors. They were full of little kids hand prints up to about waist high on both sets of doors along with face smudges.
You could mot help but see them as it’s the first thing you notice when looking out at the view. That made us start checking around the unit. We found price tags and dust bunnies under the master bed, a glow stick, Candy wrapper, and more dust bunnies under the couch. After siting in the recliners (which DEFINITELY need to be replaced!) there was a child’s shirt, stuck down in the side of one. And under a couch cushion was a sock!
There was no mop for cleaning so we texted housekeeping and told them of the issues. They sent us up a mop and bucket, which was just fine with us. We bought cleaning supplies when we went grocery shopping and cleaned the windows and floors ourselves. The condo could use a bit more of decor. It’s pretty bland. But then that could be because owners have not had a chance to do so after the renovations from the damage that was sustained after the hurricane.
The only other thing is, if you are explorers like us, you may want to get a place closer to town. This is about 12 miles out from Gulf Shores. It’s a drive everyday, but the beach is wonderful to walk. It’s quiet and not amongst the hustle and bustle. It’s your preference.
