Wonderful beach house!

We stayed a week a this house as a family. We had seniors through teenagers. The house was spacious, art was wonderful, hosts were gracious. Clean and well cared for. Highly recommend and would love to stay there again!

Wonderful family property

We enjoyed the colorful rooms. The proximity to the beach was excellent. We enjoyed the quiet nature of Fort Morgan. Communication from the property manager was excellent.

Perfect Family Beach Vacation

Large duplex, I did not realize it was only half a house, but it was a three story huge house for 8 adults. Very comfortable couches in the main room, large back deck with two tables to eat outside, very close to the beach, just watch for the poisonous snakes! (didn't see any, just had signs posted. A few pointers I would suggest, the master bathroom on the main floor, needs a black out curtain because you wake up at the crack of dawn from the sunlight. The pink upstairs bedroom is connected to the orange bedroom, so you need to walk thru the orange room to access the pink one, that is probably only good for kids and parents. I would also suggest a folder or binder of nearby things to do, places to go, where to get groceries, etc. The internet is very spotty, so do not expect to be working out of the home. Definitely have the gate code, and door code and directions on screen shots on your phone because you will NOT get wifi access outside the house! and you will need them to get in. It is a very very very quiet area ( except for the neighbors sometimes) great beach, but put your chairs down early! it fills up fast! Clear water, not much seaweed, a TON OF MARINE LIFE, we saw dolphins almost daily, got a ton of seashells, and almost stepped on a stingray! Great house, would be back again.

Fall break at Shellchase

Our family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Really beautiful house was perfect for us. Short walk to the beach and the views were breathtaking. Hope to visit again soon.

Great location! But needs some TLC

Size of house and location was excellent for our family. House needs some painting ,carpets cleaned,outdoor furniture needs replaced,and some overall handyman work on the deck rails and plumbing and electrical. We did enjoy the spacious home and location to the beach.

Super house for a large group

Shellchase is a beautiful home with the best living area for a big group (we had 10). It was spacious and clean and just a short walk to the beach. I was disappointed that the owner didn't respond at all to the multiple times I sent a question via VRBO and then in a direct text. The only one I got a response to was to the text saying we were leaving. There were also no kitchen trash bags, no paper towels, and only one roll of TP in each bathroom for 10 people staying 5 nights. Hopefully this will prompt the owner to be more responsive. I loved the property but not sure I would rent it again...I couldn't trust he would respond if I had a real issue.

First Family vacation

Property was great, didn’t know it was a duplex. Plenty of room and spacious. I understand work had to be done because of the storm , just thought it was a little inconvenience of workers passing by us and hammering. My 2 year old couldn’t nap in the afternoon all week which made dining out out not fun for us. No parking first two days because of two trailers taking up parking spots allotted for my side. Had to inspect driveway and dispose of screws on the ground left from work crews before we parked. Couldn’t enjoy the back deck views as workers used the back deck as access area to get to the roof. Just would’ve appreciated better communication to me the renter and the foreman of the crews that the week was filled with a renter on the property he was contracted to work on so he could’ve made arrangements to move his trailers beforehand.

Perfect Location

Overall this property was nice and convenient. It was a little cluttered. Some of the decorations and decor was useless. I'm all for having wall tables and end table, but they are all cluttered and full of stuff and they can't be used. For an example there is a vase full of dried flowers on the fridge. Why? The location was perfect distance to the beach, super nice, not a long walk. I wish I would have known that one of the bedrooms is inside another bedroom, (large closet), that wouldn't have been good if another couple had come with us. Also the listing states there is enough towel for those that could max stay. Not true. Listing says 12 can stay, only 10 towels and they are tiny. So bring your own bath towels. Also the listing doesn't state that they have a charcoal grill and there is one. It would've been great to know, so we could've used that.

Great family duplex

Great place. Wonderful views. Awesome for our family of 11. Plenty of space to stretch out. Close to beach and pool. Thx for the extra chairs and beach/pool toys. Amazing kitchen counters and working space. Only suggestion is all rooms need a TV. Second king room doesn’t have TV, Seems odd for a “master room”. Also we were missing some bath towels, only had 10/12. Otherwise great house.

Wonderful house

We really enjoyed our stay here! This house fit all 9 of us (plus a small dog) perfectly! It was equipped with everything we needed and was very cozy. We liked the sense of community ....everyone was very friendly. It was about 25 minutes away from town so we drove quite a bit to “civilization “......however we had a great view of the gulf and a very short walk to the beach!... would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away

Loved the house! Easily the nicest rental Ive ever stayed in. Very large living area and roomy decks with ocean views. The house looks new and spotless upon arrival. . Looks professionally maintained. Zero issues with appliances or heat/ air. A five minute walk to the beach down boardwalk.

This House is GREAT

The house has room a plenty and is well kept. Plenty of amenities and easy access to your favorite TV programs, even though we did not watch much TV. The view of the gulf from the back deck was delightful and with gorgeous weather and a steady breeze sitting out back having coffee and maybe reading a book was just what the doctor ordered. Even the pink paint job makes this place stand out Just up the street a little bit is a good restaurant Tacky Jack's 2 and the food was really good. We may choose to use this one again.
