⸻We stayed at Silver Dunes West and while the condo itself was in a great location and had a good layout, our experience was impacted by ongoing AC issues. When we arrived, the main AC unit wasn’t working, and the repair techs told us it had already been serviced 4–5 times this season. It wasn’t fully replaced until Tuesday, which meant we spent the first few days of our vacation in 80–90 degree heat. Especially with my elderly parents with usIt was stressful We were provided with fans and a window unit when we asked, which helped a bit, but it was still uncomfortable—especially when it came to cooking meals we had planned for Sunday through Tuesday. The AC crew was in the condo all day Tuesday for the replacement, which also made that day less relaxing.The upstairs unit continued to struggle throughout the week to keep the temperature even at 75, so we hope that doesn’t become a future issue.We reached out to management and they were kind and responsive. They offered us a 330 credit, which we appreciated, but given the level of inconvenience, we felt at least full-day refund would have been more appropriate.Despite the setbacks, we made the best of our week. Hopefully the new AC unit will mean a better experience for future guest
