Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the uncomfortable beds. Especially in the primary bedroom, it's caving in the middle, groans loudly when there's any movement, and is smaller than the normal queen. Caused a major kink in my neck/shoulder that I still haven't worked out! Enjoyed the house otherwise - great hot tub with beautiful views to the trees and the cozy fireplace were highlights. Would come back if they upgrade the beds.

Exceptional House in the Trees

A beautiful, well-appointed property nestled in the redwoods with ample living space and a lovely deck with a hot tub. Would absolutely return for another stay, and the management was easy to reach and communicative.

Great stay in Guerneville

This house was clean and well appointed. The beds could use a refresh (mattresses not the most supportive and bed frame was noisy) but overall this was a great choice for our group of 4. The setting is beautiful, in a quiet neighborhood of other well-kept homes, but it is a bit of a walk on a busy road to get into town. Would stay here again if i needed something in the area.

Lovely return visit!

Clean, comfortable and well stocked home . The yard is gorgeous and you feel like you are in your own private forest ! The location worked well for our wine country activities and dining . This was our second stay at this house and we look forward to returning in the future .

Great private location in the redwoods.

Enjoyed our stay. House was clean, well stocked and close to wineries, the golf course and quick drive to the coast. Loved relaxing in the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Perfect Getaway

Four longtime girlfriends and I stayed here for three nights to celebrate a birthday. Overall, the stay was perfect. The house is just as advertised, the kitchen was well stocked with details like sharp knives (something you almost never find in vaca rentals!) and enough dishware for everyone. The location is great and close to things like the grocery store. We especially loved the hot tub! The one thing that threw the experience slightly off was the repeated house rules around towels. I know that sounds strange, but it's stated in several places to take care of towels; otherwise, you will be charged. Thankfully, they did warn you to bring your own towels for the hot tub as they are not provided, so we brought a bag of several extra towels that we ended up using for showers and the hot tub. Sounds like the owners might have gotten burned by guests and how they treated the towels in the past! Just bring your own towels and you'll have a wonderful time.

Great stay at Lazy Bear

We had a lovely time here! Cozy, big gas fireplace in living room, comfy thick mattresses, nice hot tub. House is in a little hilly neighborhood, but once you’re inside the house you would never know anyone else was around you. The property is beautifully and cleverly landscaped for privacy, and the back of the house backs up to a lush and woodsy hillside. Very green, shady and pretty. Near to town and the redwoods. We would return for sure.

A perfect getaway

This is a spectacular property. The home is tucked down a driveway in a cute neighborhood. The highlight for us was the hot tub that overlooks the beautiful trees behind it. A perfect little oasis with an outdoor shower. Highly recommend!

Excellent Cozy Home in the Redwoods

Comfortable, well-appointed home in a quiet neighborhood just outside of Guernville. We enjoyed the cozy living room (with a fireplace) and the excellent outdoor porch right in the redwoods with a hottub and a grill. Great stay and very kind, responsive customer care, thank you!

Highly recommend!

We’ve stayed in several rentals in Guerneville but this was one of our favorites to spend time with family. Can’t recommend it enough and hope to be back! Perfect amenities with everything we needed for a great weekend. Well stocked kitchen, cable TV, fireplace, AC/heat, grill, jacuzzi, office with monitor, board games, and plenty of bedrooms and bathroom. Beautiful location in the trees with a nice walking loop in the neighborhood for getting some steps in. Very friendly community. Short drive to town, Johnson’s beach and Korbel. Nice areas both indoor and outdoor to relax. Only wish there was a bit more seating in the living room but we were able to bring some chairs from the other room no problem. Also was confused about where to deposit compost once kitchen bin was full. Booking, check in, checkout and communication with hosts was a breeze. 10/10 Recommend Lazy Bear Losge!

Perfect River Getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lazy Bear. The house was gorgeous and the backyard patio was a dream! Communication with the host was seamless and they went above and beyond to give us the best stay imaginable. It was the perfect weekend celebrating my husbands birthday, and we would love to book this property again!

Peaceful retreat

Stayed here with my family, we spent a restful week at this lovely haven in the trees and would absolutely stay again. Relaxing and cozy retreat

Loved this house and the property! It was clean and welcoming upon our arrival and had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with supplies so we could cook all of our meals! The outside deck accommodated dinners and game nights comfortably. The hot tub was an added bonus! The neighborhood was friendly and tranquil. Close to downtown Guerneville for visiting.

Nice House

I hesitate to write this review. We love VRBO and have used them for both domestic and international properties. But the management company for this property was not helpful. The house had many instructions (including cleaning) and we tried to follow these such as the garbage expectations, etc. While we were told to contact the management company it took the them two days to answer our questions and this was after we called them again. The house was nice and well located but the TV box is outdated, they did not provide enough garbage bags, and supplies such as no coffee (we left some with filters for the next occupant). We enjoyed our stay but will never rent from a third party management company again. We will make sure the listing is managed by VRBO.

Nice Redwood/Costal stay

This was our first time visiting Guerneville. The town is nice and quaint— cute shops and local restaurants to eat, and only a short drive to the coast with lots of hikes and beaches that were dog friendly. The house itself is gorgeously tucked against the redwood forest. It is a nice modern home with all the amenities you would want. We absolutely loved the deck and hot tub. Property management was quick to respond as our reservation was booked only the day before.

Guerneville Thanksgiving Getaway

The location of this home was amazing, nestled against the redwoods, yet close to the main town of Guerneville. Hosts were responsive when questions arose about the property. Home also had plenty of space for everyone in our party to enjoy being together or to find a quiet space when needed. Kitchen was well appointed and accommodated our cooking needs well. Overall, our group had a wonderful time spending our holiday in the midst of the woods, with easy access to multiple wineries. Very happy to have found this spot!

The property was perfect for our group. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook and the property was close to the vineyards we wanted to visit. I wish we could have stayed longer!
