The views of the ocean are stunning. The house was spotless. This town is a real gem. Small enough to feel reclusive, but big enough to have groceries and restaurants close. Bed was really comfy. We really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent rest!

Spent a few days relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Mendocino coastline at Otter’s Rest. This was the ideal place for us to stay and enjoy the amazing views. It was easily walkable to town where everyone was so nice and welcoming. Would absolutely stay here again!

A Wonderful Stay

This house has such a great view, very clean, and we liked the open floor plan. A reading lamp (perhaps a floor lamp) would be great, as I had to use my little reading light to read my book. It's in a tiny neighborhood, so to do my run and walks, we had to drive to the Sea Ranch area. Not a big deal, as the ocean view more than made up for it.

Otter’s Rest getaway

Enjoyable five days at Otter’s Rest with fabulous weather. Very comfortable & enjoyable house. Good location with spectacular close ocean views of rocky coast from deck & windows. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen & baths. One negative is no pretty sunsets as blocked by hill & house.

Beautiful view, house, and town!

Lovely older home that was superbly redone! The house is quite literally on a cliff, with killer views of the ocean. Even though it rained torrentially for our stay, we still had a great time just hanging out! My only complaint is that I really wanted to swim at Sea Ranch pools, and I did ask if I could get passes or pay extra. Unfortunately, I did not receive a reply until we were already there. I guess you have to rent a home within the Sea Ranch development itself, to use their pools, etc. Oh well

Perfect stay

Loved everything about our stay. The house is well laid out, very clean, very comfortable, all the necessary amenities and equipment, conveniently located on the edge of town, spectacular ocean views. Loved being able to find a nice place that also welcomes a dog. Was also pleased by how easy it was to communicate with Vacasa and appreciated their responsiveness.

Beautiful House and Location

Otter's Rest is a beautiful house on the bluffs. It is very well maintained inside and the view is perfect for whale watching. We spent the entire time enjoying the outdoors and making use of the board & card games left for visitors. Several whale spouts were sighted and the area information binder for guests inspired a few fun outings to kayaking and the skunk train. Highly recommend for a peaceful visit with loved ones.

Million dollar views

This house is one of the very few that I can say the pictures/description doesn't do it justice. Amazing views of the ocean from anywhere inside the house and outside the house. The rear deck, facing the ocean, is very spacious and had very comfortable outside furniture. The house itself is located in a very quiet neighborhood, in a cul-de-sac, so no thru traffic. It was a quiet, peaceful place to just relax and enjoy nature. The house was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the 3 armchairs in the living room were comfortable and perfectly placed to just sit and get lost looking at the ocean. We had great views of pelicans hovering in the air, then diving down to catch fish. The town, the house is in, is small, but we loved it since it never got busy, not too crowded, but had everything you might need, like grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. One of the grocery stores hosts a BBQ cookout every weekend and it looked/smelled awesome. We can't wait to return to this house.

Great place to relax with the parents

We wanted to treat my wife's parents to a relaxing view for Mothers Day. Great place and setup for an elderly couple to relax and stare at the ocean for a couple of days. Kitchen was well appointed for us to cook/prep meals for them during our stay. Beds were quite comfortable too (we prefer softer mattresses in general, which the upstairs was).

Peaceful retreat

This property is just as advertised. Expect to see amazing views and delightful wildlife. Very comfortable accommodations from beds to easy chairs and neat and clean from top to bottom. We loved the kitchen! We will dream about this vacation and hope to visit again.

Very Relaxing New Year's

Beautiful location, very quiet, fabulous view. Spent all day just watching the ocean and the birds, and listening to the surf. Very well appointed kitchen, extremely comfortable beds and chairs to lounge in.
