"Great little stay, great amenities"

"All rooms on 2nd floor up 37 steps. No evening bar or restaurant. Asked for a non slip shower mat, Didn't get one. No staff after 3.00pm. More like a boarding house than a hotel."

"Great place, often stay there"

"Lovely Hotel, staff very good and rooms comfortable. Only complaint was it was a Saturday night and they shut the pub at 10.40pm when we had come back and wanted a drink and as a resident have never been refused even after closing time of 11pm let alone before and thought was very poor service."

"Really clean room. Boutique decor."

"Nicely decorated. Very clean. Well positioned. Excellent breakfast."

"Nice location. Building had character"

"Mo was great, sorted any issues and was very welcoming and friendly. Would stay again."

"Very kind helpful staff, excellent amenities, tidy and welcoming. Highly recommended for couples or solo travellers."

"Lovely stay whilst house hunting in the area. Clean, warm, well facilitated property with a bath, big tv and fully kitted out kitchen. Comfy big bed and lots of space. Owners were great and the surroundings are beautiful, I highly recomend."

"Lovely overnight stay. Nice breakfast. Bathroom a little dark with having black floor and walls but clean. Nothing we didn't like."

"Liked all. Continental breakfast but loads to choose from."

"Happy to stay here for one night. The room was exactly as it looked in the pictures and the staff were very nice. Worth noting that the bar doesn’t open until 5pm, I got a cup of tea before then but that was only because the receptionist was kind. Only downside a lot of the vegetarian food options were not available on the dinner menu or at breakfast however the food that the chef made me was very nice."

"A truly lovely stay at a homely pub that was superb value for money, the staff were very helpful & friendly, will definitely visit again when in the area ."
