A gem in the countryside!
We had such a lovely stay at Elisabetta’s property. The home is beautiful and the grounds/pool lovely. We sat outside every night enjoying the fabulous weather! It’s a short drive to Panzano where we found the Panzano Butcher and Vino Al Vino Wine Festival!! Driving a bit further we found several small villages and hamlets. Absolutely charming and the scenery is breathtaking! Thank you, Elisabetta, we certainly hope to return one day!!

Fantastique villa de rêve!
La villa était tout simplement fantastique! Tout à fait typique, bien équipée et bien entretenue, propre, spacieuse, sa localisation nous a beaucoup plu. Les communications avec les propriétaires étaient faciles et aidantes. L’accueil a été chaleureux de la part d’Elisabetta, avec toutes les explications nécessaires qui ont facilitées notre séjour. Elle parle bien en anglais, c’était très apprécié pour nous qui ne parlons pas l’italien. Étant donné les chaudes températures du mois d’août l’eau fraîche de la superbe piscine nous a bien rafraîchi. Les chambres sont équipées de ventilateurs, les lits confortables, les salles de bain parfaites et les nuits silencieuses. Il y a plein de beaux vignobles et jolis villages dans les environs. Certains soirs nous allions prendre un bon repas dans les restaurants de Panzano ou à Greve in Chianti situés tout près. Sienne et San Gimignano sont à peine à une heure de route. Ce fut un beau séjour et de beaux souvenirs pour notre famille. Nous sommes heureux d’avoir découvert cette villa et de connaître Elisabetta, son mari et Paola. Ce sont des hôtes parfaits. Nous espérons un jour pouvoir y revenir.

Return from our 2019 stay
Property was just as beautiful as we remembered from previous stay. Pool is perfect and pristine. The mosquito problem was mostly mitigated by fans in each bedroom, sprays and candles. Was hoping for a more contemporary coffee pot rather than the moka pots, maybe next time. A pour over would be perfect.There could not be a more relaxing accommodation! Very responsive owner. Had a Memorable wine tasting next door at Tenuta Casanuove, highly recommend.Love the location and we had perfect weather too! Five Stars!

Beautiful villa!
This was our second time staying at Villa San Martino, making lifelong family memories! Such a lovely property and beautiful pool, with many wonderful restaurants and vineyards nearby. Owners Elisabetta and Paola were wonderful. We hope to return again someday!

A dream!!!
It was the perfect vacation. The owners are 2 lovely ladies, very attentive and carefull on the guest's wishes. Indoor and outdoor you will nor miss anything:fully equiped kitchen, dishwasher, washing maschine, televison and DVD player, alarm system, even pool towels. Outside you have complete privacy, many trees sorround the villa, so you can totally let down and feel free. The pool ist very interesting designed, is is suitable for both swimmer and not swimmer. Near the pool is a flat area, suitable for many activities, sports etc. All in all, 5 Stars and our full recommandation! Fam. Verde

A quintessential Tuscan holiday
Villa San Martino, situated on beautiful grounds, and meticulously decorate, was the perfect home base for our Tuscan holiday. The photos pale in comparison to how pretty the home is in person. Elisabetta and Paola were perfect hosts who answered all of our questions. I would recommend this villa to any and everyone.

Lovely Spacious Country Home
The home was beautiful and very comfortable. The weather was cooler than we anticipated, so unfortunately we were not able to make use of the pool, but it was very clean and well maintained. There was lots of outdoor space to enjoy as well as a large kitchen and living room. Elisabetta and Paola were very welcoming upon our arrival and were always very responsive whenever we communicated with them. I would highly recommend the house as it is a very pleasant place to stay and in a very good location.

A truly exceptional experience
Villa San Martino was wonderful in every way: the location, the lovely accommodations and furnishings, the kitchen, and perfect swimming pool. We stayed one month and found the entire experience to be exactly what we had hoped for. It was clean, quiet, and idyllic. We hosted three siblings for ten days, then our 18-year old granddaughter and then a niece and nephew. Every person loved the villa as much as we did. It is ideally situated on a hill, with gardens and woods surrounding the secure, private property. The villa is a short drive to Panzano, with wonderful restaurants and a grocery store. We hated leave this special place. I recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet, secluded, restful and comfortable vacation home in Tuscany.

Panzano, Greve in Chianti, April 2022
It was a Sunday late in April when we were warmly welcomed by Elisabetta, her sister Paola and her husband (hope we have got the relationships right) in their beautiful house near Panzano, right in the heart of the typical charming Chianti Classico area. Their house is so beautifully situated in the Tuscany hills: centrally located between Firenze and Siena, with pittoresque villages, green hills, olive gardens and wineries all around. The house and the garden are surrounded by trees that provide for a luscious green scenery and cooling shades that, we bet, will warrant a pleasant stay also in the warmest of summer months for sure. The flat and wide green near the pool is great for playing (e.g. for kids), while we used it for some workouts as the climate was still nice and mild in springtime. It took us some courage and a deep breath indeed, but we even managed to enjoy a refreshing dive in the beautiful pool in April!. The pool, the garden and the porch really are great assets to this splendid house. And wifi worked well, all around the house! The house itself is beautifully furnished and decorated in a warm Tuscany style. We enjoyed the authentic luxury, the space and the well-equipped kitchen. It literally took us less than five minutes to feel at home here. Bedrooms and bathrooms are all comfortable. The house was very clean and the rent worth every penny! We had an unforgettable week, and staying here was a real delight.

Durant 10 jours, avec des amis, nous avons habité cette maison. Très bien équipée et décorée . La maison non chauffée et la température très fraîche ont été un irritant au départ, mais la propriétaire a répondu rapidement à notre demande et le chauffage a été installé. Merci.

Wunderschöne Villa
Sehr schön, sauber und toll gelegen. Außer, dass die Betten recht hart sind, gab es absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Großer, schöner Pool, großzügiges Haus, schön kühl trotz Hitze draußen. Panzano ein sehr netter Ort mit guten Möglichkeiten zum Essen.

Amazing villa in beautiful Tuscany
The villa is extremely nice and clean and we felt right at home. A bit more expensive than other places in the area, but it was sooo worth it. The house beautiful architecture adds some charm to an already beautiful area of Italy - Tuscany. Elisabetta was helpful and very kind. Highly recommended

Lovely house, even nicer than expected
Elisabetta is very helpful and responsive. The property is very well managed and maintained. The kitchen is well equipped while the ambiance is very authentic. The baths are ship-shape. The pool is serviced and cleaned every two days. Perfect for for even swimming and diving! We stayed 9 (4 adults + 5 teenagers) and it was still spacey. The house is among trees and has a good siting, so we didn't need any air conditioning even having some days with temperatures over 35C. All together fantastic experience!

Fantastic! Perfect place for your Tuscany adventures..
We loved this villa! There were 4 of us and everything was perfect. Elisabetta was so helpful and we are so grateful for her assistance when our rental car had an engine failure. The place was spotless, well appointed, very welcoming and very centrally located for our 8 days in Tuscany. The sisters had excellent communication and helped with any questions we had. Highly recommended!

Peaceful family retreat in Tuscany
We had a lovely family stay at Villa San Marino. Elisabetta and Paola were so welcoming and helpful! The house was in impeccable shape, and the pool and cool shaded trees made this a “family hit” during the heat wave! The location is great, close to the grocery stores in Panzano and Greve, and the most beautiful vistas in Tuscany. Heart of Chianti Classico!

Lovely home! But not recommended during the summer months
Villa San Martino is a great location for exploring many of the Tuscan/Chianti towns. Elisabetta was very accommodating and welcoming. She had the villa ready for my family and supplied us with a few groceries until we could get to the local town to purchase some. She helped with reservations at a few local restaurants. We choose this villa based on the reviews and location. We read all of the reviews, specifically the ones in the month of which we were visiting and not one mentioned that there were no screens on the windows to ward off the killer mosquitos and the extraordinary heat. This home is not located on a hill/mountain. Its in a lower lying area, so no breezes/no views. Our stay would have been a 5 star rating if the villa had screens on the windows so we could open the windows at night to bring the temperature down in the house. There is no air conditioning in this villa (3 very small fans). The temperatures in the house at night was hotter then the temperatures outside. We had a window open one evening because we could not take the 85+ degree heat in the house. Unfortunately that gave way to mosquitos. These aren't like any mosquitos that you find in the US. 3 of our family members were effected so severely (allergic reactions) that we had to visit a doctor and a pharmacist for medication. This is a lovely home. But it certainly could use at a minimum some screens on all of the windows!

Ci dispiace che il vostro soggiorno a Villa San Martino sia stato deludente. Tuttavia non ci sentiamo responsabili del caldo torrido che, in quel periodo, ha colpito l'Italia. Del resto anche gli Stati Uniti sono stati investiti da un clima molto caldo che ha provocato anche dei morti. Il caldo poi, naturalmente, favorisce il proliferare di insetti. Se le recensioni di altri ospiti che hanno soggiornato nello stesso periodo non riportano queste critiche, significa che tale situazione non si era presentata. Per quanto riguarda poi la mancanza di aria condizionata e di zanzariere alle finestre, facciamo presente che la pubblicità della casa riporta quello di cui è dotata l'abitazione, quindi la presenza o meno di certi accessori. Sarebbe stata vostra cura, eventualmente, chiedere informazioni riguardo a ciò prima di prenotare. Grazie comunque per aver apprezzato la villa e la nostra disponibilità e accoglienza nei confronti degli ospiti.

Un immancabile ritorno
Tornato dopo due anni il fascino e la pace di questo posto mi hanno stupito ancora di più. Tutto perfettamente curato, casa attrezzata per ogni esigenza, zona stupenda per visitare le magnifiche cantine della zona, per cenare con vista sulle colline del Chianti o semplicemente per rimanere a guardare il cielo stellato. Cute Villa
This is a very cute Italian styled Villa. We greatly enjoyed our stay, the hosts were wonderful. The house had everything we needed. Would highly recommend it and while you are there book a cooking class with Gaia, she comes right to the Villa. Absolutely amazing stay! The beds are very firm, but sleepable.

Charmante villa au coeur de la région Chianti
Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances en famille dans cette villa très accueillante. Villa de charme, avec une décoration authentique. Nous nous sommes vraiment sentis comme à la maison. Chambres très confortables, séjour et cuisine très agréables, cuisine très bien équipée. Comme la villa est un peu isolée, le système d'alarme, facile d'utilisation, est un grand plus. Nous avons apprécié la tranquillité des lieux. Beau jardin avec une belle piscine. Notre seul regret est de ne pas avoir pu utiliser la piscine, car les nuits sont encore trop froides en avril, et l'eau est restée froide. Elisabetta et Paola sont des hôtes exemplaires; tout est bien expliqué, tout est pensé, la maison était hyper propre. Grazie mille Elisabetta e Paola!

The Villa San Martino is a beautiful and private oasis!
What a wonderful location and beautiful villa! The owners were very receptive and supportive to ensure my son, whom uses an electric wheelchair, would experience the villa and surrounding grounds. They placed strategic ramps which allowed us full access. We were able to walk to a nearby vineyard and discovered an amazing sunset on our walk home. I would highly recommend the Villa San Martino as the home base to tour the beautiful Tuscany countryside!

Beautiful Tuscany villa
From the moment you arrive, all stress melts away as you enter this relaxing sanctuary. Elisabetta & Paola are charming, informing you of all the details of their home. The villa is well equipped. The beds are not only extremely comfortable, but have exquisite linens! The bathrooms are spacious, with lovely toiletries. The location is great, with easy access to numerous vineyards. Beautiful countryside Villa with all the comforts of home!
We enjoyed 5 nights in the beautiful Villa San Martino in Panzano! The weather was spectacular so we got to enjoy the lovely pool and grounds. Elisabetta and her sister Paola greeted us and were so welcoming and helpful. We were close to many wonderful vineyards as well as the town of Panzano which was a short drive from the Villa with some very good restaurants and wine shops. Wonderful family villa
Beautiful villa, perfectly located to visit Siena, Florence and all the lovely villages around Chianti. The house feels more like a family house than a rental, it is really well equipped and decorated. The pool area is perfect to lounge around and the garden is beautifully kept by a very discreet gardener. We were welcomed by Elisabetta and her sister who are very kind and were very quick at responding when the power went out during our stay. A great deal of attention to detail. All in all one of the nicest places we have rented! Grazie mille

Ett helt fantastiskt hus. En veckas vistelse för 6 personer, alldeles lagom. Härlig pool
Jag och min man hyrde hela huset tillsammans med sonen och hans familj. två stycken tonårsbarn. Alla hade en underbar vecka med utflykter, dock lite varmt, men ett dopp i den sköna poolen svalkade. Allt som behövdes fann i huset ( dock ej AC)

A beautiful villa!
Villa San Martino was just beautiful! We had a wonderful time, and enjoyed every minute there. Elisabetta and Paola were so very nice, met us there to explain things, and were available for any questions during our stay. We had a chef prepare dinner there one evening and thoroughly enjoyed dining outdoors and swimming in the beautiful pool! Thank you for a most memorable holiday!

Beautiful house, garden and pool. Very accommodating and provide ramps for my husband’s wheelchair
We had a wonderful time, enjoying the pool and cooking and eating dinner in the lovely yard. We enjoyed the welcome food basket and parting gift.

Country home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is as beautiful as the pictures and home and garden immaculately kept. If you are looking to experience the small towns, vineyards and food of Tuscany in a most quiet and congenial environment, this could not disappoint. Nestled between Florence and Siena, there is no shortage of great day trips. If you want a city, this is not it, but it was what we wanted. Panzano a darling town, Greve for shopping, Chianti vintners every kilometer. Home also fully equipped with what you need to cook and wash. Too cold for us to swim in September, but the pool still sparkling clean. Saw wolf, fox and deer in the environs. Grazie to Elisabetta and Paola.

Relaxation among the grapes
Very welcoming sisters, Elizabeth was very welcoming, kindly asked when we were going to depart, arrived when we said e were checking out with a gift for each of the three couples. Large pool. Pizza oven. Need car to get to town for groceries and restaurants.

Amazing place to stay!
The sisters who manage the property take great pride in their place and this is evident with every detail from how clean and comfortable the place was to how they treated my family on our arrival and departure. This place was the ideal oasis after a busy few days in Rome. It cost a bit more per night than other places we stayed but we definitely got what we pay for! We wish we stayed more than 5 nights as we wanted longer to explore the area and enjoy the amenities of the place so next time will be a longer stay! Thank you for making our holiday so special.

Tolle Location im Herzen des Chianti Classico
Mit 7 Personen (2 Familien, 4 Erwachsene, 3 Kinden und ein Hund) genossen wir zuletzt eine wunderschönen Woche im Haus von Elisabetta und Irene. Von den ersten Minuten der Begrüßung bis zur Abreise passte wirklich alles, Haus, Garten, Pool, Einrichtung, ... und auch die Lage ist für Weintouren im Chianti wirklich optimal gelegen. Wir werden sicher bald mal wiederkommen.
