The house is beautiful. The property and dock are stunning. We rented a boat and were able to enjoy it (except for two overly windy days which is expected.)The beds are comfortable. The game room was great and the family really enjoyed having it. The lake is amazing but the property doesn’t have a good beach for younger children so we blew up a baby pool and put it by the lake for the baby and toddler. The older kids loved the lake! I wish Vacasa would(for the price) leave more than a two day supply of dish washer detergent, laundry detergent, and paper towels. The house was clean but hard to get to areas like under the recliners and some corners should definitely be addressed. Also, not enough bath wash in dispensers. I think for the price ,those kind of details do matter. Over all we loved the place and would definitely recommend it!

Scenic, Spacious, and Serene

This was our second stay at Big Moose Lodge, and it didn’t disappoint. The lodge is spacious, comfortable, and wonderfully quiet. Surrounded by 100-year-old pines, the setting is absolutely stunning, and the dock feels like something out of a luxury resort. It’s the perfect spot to relax by the water with unbeatable views. The management team was attentive without being intrusive. We spent hours enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and watching the waterfowl, especially the loons! There’s plenty of indoor entertainment for all ages, so rainy days aren’t a concern. Overall, it’s the perfect spot for both small and big groups.

Beautiful home in fantastic location on Moosehead Lake

This is a remarkable property right in the lake facing west, which offers lovely sunset views off the dock. There was plenty of space for our group, beds were comfortable and there were fans in each room to help with airflow. The house is not air conditioned, which was mostly fine but there were a few warm nights and one where there was a storm and the power went out for a few hours. The house was very clean and the location of the house on Moosehead Lake was perfect, just a short drive into Greenville.

Absolutely amazing!!!!!

We stayed at this property for Christmas 23’. 13 family members aging In range from 15 to 77. There was fun had by all. The pictures in the listing do not do this property justice!!! It’s absolutely amazing!! I can’t say enough good things!!! I will be back for a summer trip in the future!!! Highly recommend

Exceptional Lodge and Lakeside Experience

This is a rare grand lodge with all the comforts of home - unexpected in such a peaceful lakeside retreat complete with loons and solitude. The game room has something for all ages. The sleeping arrangements are more than comfortable. The entire spacious lodge was immaculate thanks to topnotch housekeeping. Seamless check-in and check-out via texts and emails. But best of all is the access to the lake that is unparalleled and enough can't be said about the dock and lakeside experience that rivals any high-end secluded resort. We appreciated the artistic touches inside and outside that compliment the extraordinary natural lush setting - white pines that tall are breathtaking. Looking forward to a return next year.

Fun Family Vacation

Lots of room for the entire three generations that gathered for this special vacation. Everyone had some private space & lots of common space to spend precious time together. Children loved the open space to explore & play. Game Room, Hot Tub & outdoor play area & Fire Pit & Dock with decks and extensive board walks around the house & property were enjoyed by all. Kitchen had everything we needed with a generous dining space to share meals. We had a great week and loved this special property. We did see a few areas that could be improved. Based on the price point for this property we expected a higher quality of bedding. What was there was adequate. The ferns along the decking walkways needed some trimming. The lighting in the upstairs bathrooms was inadequate. Tough to shave or apply makeup in very dim lighting. We had a great week & we thoroughly enjoyed the home. Moosehead Lake & the surrounding area. Thank you for sharing your home!

Buyer Beware!

This is a beautiful property. Unfortunately what the photos don't show are all the surveillance cameras on the exterior of the property.There is virtually nowhere you can sit outside that's private. Even the hot tub has a surveillance camera aimed right at it which is highly inappropriate.We paid $150 to use a hot tub but who wants to when you're on camera the entire time. The other thing the photos don't show are all the "control freak" wooden signs grilled into the walls all over the interior and exterior of the property which create a very unwelcoming experience. My personal favorite was "Don't throw pebbles into the lake." Seriously?! There are some people who should not rent out their homes. They love taking your money but they don't actually want you enjoy their homes. If I am paying 10K for the week, I would expect to be treated with more respect.

Great facility

Wonderful house with great rooms and plenty of space. Sledding was awesome and the trails were easy to access. Only problem we had was the oven wasn't functioning fully and to feed a crowd of twelve we struggled. There was a grill on the property but it the tank was empty. We would make sure next time that the facility manager was notified immediately.

Amazing!

This house was everything that the listing said it was! So beautiful right on the water. Perfect sunsets! Loved the natural fireplaces. Any issues that we did have the property managers were so quick to answer our questions.

Beautiful property and location

Our vacation group of 10 loved this property! First time to Moosehead Lake, the house had a beautiful view, a dock for boating or floating, hot tub and terrific game room. Plenty of space and amenities in the house. Highly recommend with one caveat; the prices listed for next year are 20-25 percent higher! We would have rebooked immediately for next year, but now hesitate because of price.

Heaven!!

My husband and I along with 3 adult sons and one girlfriend stayed at this gorgeous house for 1 week. It was just breathtaking! The look of the house is rustic, the bedrooms are spacious, the beds are super comfortable, the family room is huge with high ceilings and a nice big comfy couch where we could all sit, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possible think of, the play room was spacious,(but beware if you are tall you hit your head!) the hot tub was a nice touch, the dock is breath taking during the day and night, and the lake is beautiful! We had the best time relaxing, playing games, renting a pontoon boat and fishing, doing yoga on the dock, reading and enjoying nature. This place is heaven and hope we can go back some day!

Great week

Great time at a beautiful cabin. The home was clean, and perfectly stocked with all home amenities. There was plenty of parking for snowmobile trailers and easy trail access. It was a great place to come back to and hang out/relax after a day of riding. We look forward to coming back!

Moosehead Togue Derby

Our group had another great stay at the Big Moose Lodge. Despite recieving 12 inches of snow, the property managers had the driveway cleared before we woke up to head out on the lake the next morning. Looking forward to another visit next winter. Many thanks! -Zach

Perfect family time

The lodge was prefect for our family of 14. Lots of room inside and out for all. Very clean. Most impressed with the WiFi that worked great, especially since we had several teens in our group. Definitely would recommend.

Gorgeous

Gorgeous and extremely clean property with amazing views. We had an awesome stay as a family and renting a pontoon boat was a must for the fishers and swimmers. One note is that the hot water heater is not big enough for a house this size - after two showers the water was freezing. Also, the dryer took hours to dry a load of towels. The property manager was great and answered texts in a timely manner and brought more towels. Moosehead Lake is breathtaking - make sure to go out to the dock at night to stargaze!

Giant house in a great location

Great house. Beautiful location. Everything was great and easy. The abundant amount of cameras on the property is a little unsettling and one facing the hot tub area was always at question but at the end of the trip there were no issues. More sand for the driveway!!!! very slippery when icy. Otherwise 5 stars!

Awesome family trip

Nicest vacation home ever stayed in. Spectacular log cabin. Incredible amenities: hot tub, outdoor fireplace, playground, dock, beach, plus 6 nice bedrooms big kitchen, greatroom, and downstairs playroom. Rented pontoon boat and moored off the dock. House had kayak to go back and forth. Great fishing, swimming and hiking. Saw lots of deer and moose. Had ping pong, foosball and pool tournaments. Very memorable trip for whole family, beyond expectaions. Everyone wants to come back soon.
