Perfect family getaway

The property was just perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed the lake morning, noon & night. IF I had to find something to improve upon it would be the washer/dryer unit. For our active family over 8 days, cleaning towels and clothes was essential. The unit was small and time-consuming. But such a small factor in the big picture. We had a blast and would recommend the property to others without hesitation.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Listened to Loons and enjoyed the lake and mountain vistas. We went for a long kayak and saw some fantastic shoreline.

ABSOLUTE PEACE AND BEAUTY

This location was AMAZING. The beauty of the lake out of the windows and French doors was exceptional. The cabin could not have been more welcoming, clean, well appointed or right out of a design magazine. It would be just what we would want to own and would never leave. Will be visiting again and staying longer. Thank you for sharing this wonderful, peaceful, beautiful place with us.

Very cozy cabin

Sheperd's cabin is a very cozy log cabin. The location right on the lake is just incredible. If you are looking for a quiet place this is it. It was very clean and had everything you needed. The washing machine was also a plus. Unfortunately we could not use the kayaks because it was raining and cold. We would stay here again anytime.

Beautiful and Remote

If you are looking for a place to get away from the rush of everyday life, this is the place. I LOVED the decor of the cabin, pictures don't do it justice. So cute! Be aware, it is a drive from Greenville, about 20 minutes or so. I recommend you get there the first time during daylight. It was dark and rainy when we arrived the first time and we had difficulty finding the place. They had a big storm that day and we literally had to move fallen trees out of the road to get there - thankfully they were light enough we could do it on our own. Bring plenty of groceries because you won't want to leave once you get there.

Must stay!!!

This cabin is a definite stay again! It was the perfect getaway! Quiet, relaxing with all the amenities. Check-in was very easy. Host was responsive. There’s not a better location on Moosehead!!

Great relaxing week

Great stay, beautiful property, bed was uncomfortable and the outside door to master bedroom tough to open. Aside from that perfect vacation experience. Make sure television works before clients come. Our HDMI cord was missing so no tv all week but was credited by Vacasa so we were fine with it but guests with kids might not be. All and all great vacation experience and would do it again

Magical

What an amazing place, in a picturesque setting. My first visit to Moosehead Lake, and I think it sets the bar high for vacation rentals. The layout of the cabin was spacious yet still had that cozy feel. I can’t wait to rent it again.

BEAUTIFUL!!!

We just spent 5 days here and it was amazing!!! I am in awe of how beautiful Moosehead and the areas around it are beyond what I imagined. The cabin was wonderful, cozy, peaceful, clean and in a PERFECT location. The views from the property are amazing. We enjoyed the kayaks, sitting out by the lake and soaking it all in. I wish we could have stayed forever!!! I couldn't get over how many trees there are and how massive the lake is. It goes on forever!!!! We enjoyed an afternoon out on the Katahdin looking at endless miles of the Lake and the surrounding Mountains. Memories I will remember for a lifetime. Thank you for sharing your amazing cabin with us.
