Comfy and clean

Well-stocked kitchen, clean and comfortable, plenty of extras, short walk to beach, hosts were very responsive. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

This accommodation did not work for our party of six. We left after one night instead of staying three. In the absence of a living room, there is no comfortable place for more than 2 to 3 people to sit (other than at an elevated kitchen table).

Clean, comfortable, great location!

We enjoyed our stay at Chateau Coho. The property was clean and well located (nice friendly neighborhood with easy access to Freeland and Coupeville). Nice views of the Sound from the nearby beach. As always, Tara Properties was very responsive when I needed an item.

Perfect Base for Exploration

This house is beautifully appointed, and everything we could have wanted was included. It was a short walk to see the water, and had great parking, and a nice quiet neighborhood. Rental company was very attentive and helpful. We would consider this house again when we return to Whidbey Island.

The property is very nice and clean. It's a nice short walk to the beach that you can walk for a long time. Overall, a great location. The house itself does not have a very good layout. The game room is downstairs, separated from the kitchen and the 2 bedrooms. So there's no central place for everyone to hang out, unless they all go to the game room downstairs.And one of the bedrooms has a separate entrance. You cannot get to that bedroom from inside the house, even though it shares a wall with the game room. It's a bit of an inconvenience to have to go outside to get in & out of that bedroom, especially when it was cold outside like when we were.

Goods: Great location, closet space, pool table, fire pit area. Bads: cob webs everywhere outside, dirty towels and rugs, garage door broken, shower door wouldn’t open, non microwaveable plates/bowls, pots/pans dirty and in poor condition, reclining chairs in kitchen dirty with multiple crumbs/food. Overall house not cleaned well.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you want quiet and clean, this works. Down fall is the beach at the end of the block is private and we were chased off by owners. Very disappointing, had to drive to have a leisure stroll on a beach. This not advertised properly.

We had everything we needed and didn't mind that one of the rooms had no access to the main house. My only gripe is that under the beds need a good cleaning. I dropped an earring and had to look under there and it was full of dust and a dirty tissue. Overall it was a great house!

A Week in Greenbank

Overall the stay was good. Some of our concerns are that the pull out sofa bed had stains and dog hair on it. It also did not pull out all the way and had an incline. The kitchen fan also did not vent very well. There are also some wooden benches by the fire pit that are not very sturdy, borderline dangerous. However, the other parts of the home were as listed and the beds in the bedrooms were comfortable. We would stay there again.

Good location to the beach

The house was in a great location with good access to the beach. The upper deck was lovely to sit out on, not sure if I would sit out on the lower deck with the landscaping underwhelming. I am sure the outdoor firepit would be fantastic to hang out with friends and use the pool table as well. The house is equipped with the basics, but that is about it. Seems a bit sterile, parse with the decor. Layout of kitchen and living area seems awkward and the master bed mattress needs to be replaced-big slope with on one side. Bathrooms are great.

Worked for us

Spent a long weekend with friends. Some things were great (close to the beach, good outdoor area, large sleeping areas), other things could have been better (cooking utensils were dirty and needed to be washed, mold in downstairs shower, no separate bathroom for the person on the couch). Communication with the property was great. We had to change dates and did so easily, there was a fire alarm beeping when we got there and someone replied to my message very quickly and someone was over to replace the battery in a couple hours. There also wasn’t a large area for everyone to comfortably hang out. We spent most of outlet time at the kitchen table. Overall it worked for our purposes, was inexpensive, and we had a god time.

Lovely Home

Appreciate the home for light filled rooms, linens, bed comfort, bathrooms, kitchen supplies and neighborhood. But the 3rd bedroom without access to any part of lower level or upstairs should state this on listing in concrete terms. The listing noted it but was easy to miss. I thought the bedroom was part of the family room downstairs. Also no family room with kitchen limited functionality. No TV upstairs and no bathroom on lower level with access to family rooms. Appreciate the location and very walkable area. Super quiet area.
