"We had a fantastic holiday in The Stables. It is very stylish and comfortable with lots of lovely touches. The welcome hamper was fantastic. We really appreciated Natalie and Dan catering for my wife’s food intolerances. Our cocker spaniel was also extremely well catered for with treats and toys. "Nice room, with excellent bathroom. The outside needs tidying up and some painting, so we were initially concerned when we arrived, but the rooms were fine. Nice quiet location too. The cafe is shut due to staff illness, looks like has been for a while but the Two Flags cafe a mile down the road is excellent for all day breakfasts, especially if you like motorbikes."

"great location on the edge of Oakham, easy walking to shops, cafes, pubs etc. Road parking was fine but the road is quite narrow with cars parked up both sides. lots of outdoor activities at Rutland water. "Myself and my husband and my dog Buster we had a fantastic stay at the barn. Everything we needed and a lovely welcome basket when we arrived.,, The bedding was so fresh and clean and even had duck down duvets and pillows, and the scenery was amazing when you went out into the garden you could see the horses which was so lovely. "The Hotel is very good value for money. Great for an overnight stay. Rooms are clean although would benefit redecorating. Rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and a heated towel rail and free WiFi. Ample car parking. The Hotel lacks Bar/Restaurant but a Buffet style Breakfast is available. This looks much improved from my first stay. (I have stayed five times at this Hotel) There is now a Bistro menu in the evenings, I am looking forward to trying this on my next visit."
