"Had a lovely nights stay - very comfortable bed, lovely size room with everything we could want. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruits and lots of biscuit in the room which was extremely clean. Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read. "We had been to visit David Austin Roses and White Cottage was in a reasonable distance from there - we did not want to travel back to Nottingham on the same day. We were made most welcome by Rob. The room was well presented and thoughtfully laid out. The bathroom was sparkling! We were provided with tea/coffee facilities, milk and wine. We were also give two pieces of the most delicious cake! "DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY! AWFUL SERVICE. I booked this property for me and my friends and the booking was cancelled LESS THAN TWO DAYS BEFORE. I was promised and refund and have been chasing this for the last month and the property is completely UNCONTACTABLE! Hotels.com have not refunded me nor will they unless the property replies! Hotels.com has now given up and I have lost over £400! DO NOT BOOK HERE!"

"Elaine over provided a wonderful breakfast and was helpful with giving us info on the area. When a canal ride was oversold she personally drove there to attain tickets. Property was beautiful and presents pastoral England as we pictured it. I highly recommend this property"
