The Space:

The open and bright living space invites you to relax on plush furniture while the natural stone accents and soft lighting create an inviting, tranquil atmosphere. Enjoy meals and quality time outside on the spacious screened porch. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee or unwinding in the hot tub after a day of hiking, the porch provides a peaceful spot to take in the surrounding nature. For outdoor cooking enthusiasts, the cabin also features a grill, ideal for preparing delicious meals while surrounded by the beauty of the woods. If you're in the mood for a little friendly competition or just want to relax, the cabin comes complete with a variety of games to enjoy. From classic board games to puzzles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in your downtime.

Inside you’ll find:

-2 bedrooms

– Bedroom 1 - Queen size bed

– Bedroom 2 - Full Size Bunk Beds & Trundle Bed (the bunk bed can only have one person on top and up to 2 can be on the bottom bunk and another 2 on the trundle)

- 1 full bath

- Fully-equipped kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, and coffee maker

- Living and Dining areas with plenty of seating

- Woodburning stove to stay warm on chilly nights (don’t worry we also have baseboard heat and AC)

- Enjoy fast, reliable Frontier Fiber — perfect for streaming your favorite shows or staying connected with video calls

- Smart TV for logging into your favorite streaming service

Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!



Please note that our cabin is beautifully secluded and without cell service. We do have fast Frontier Fiber internet, and we will share this with you in the house manual after booking. We encourage you to download this before your arrival. In the rare event that there is a Frontier Internet outage beyond our control, you'll truly be "off the grid," with no cell or Internet access. This is rare, but we do ask that you plan accordingly. Also, we have plenty of board games and outdoor games to enjoy!



Pet Policy: We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!



Longer Stays:

For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.



Great Cacapon, located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia, offers plenty of outdoor activities and attractions for visitors looking to enjoy nature, relaxation, and local culture.



1. Cacapon Resort State Park (distance from house - 15-20 minutes): Enjoy Hiking, Fishing, Golf and Swimming. Several trails, including the Cacapon Mountain Trail, offer great views and varying levels of difficulty. The park is also home to an 18-hole golf course and a swimming pool to enjoy during winter months.



2. The Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad (distance from house - 30 minutes): Take a scenic train ride through the Potomac Valley, known for its breathtaking views of the river, mountains, and wildlife (including bald eagles). It's a fun and relaxing way to explore the area.



3. Berkeley Springs State Park (distance from house - 30 minutes): Famous for its natural hot springs, and you can enjoy them at the state park's bathhouse. The town has historic buildings, such as George Washington's Bathhouse, and a charming main street for browsing art galleries, shops, and restaurants.



4. Morgan's Grove Park (distance from house - 30 minutes): Picnicking and Outdoor Recreation: A lovely park with picnic tables, sports fields, and trails for walking.



5. The Appalachian Trail (distance from house - 45 minutes): If you’re into longer hikes or day trips, you can visit parts of the Appalachian Trail, which is accessible from various points in the region. Harpers Ferry National Historical Park is a great entry point and offers beautiful hiking opportunities.



6. Harpers Ferry National Historical Park (distance from house - 50 minutes): Explore the historic town of Harpers Ferry, where John Brown’s raid took place in 1859. There are museums, guided tours, and historic buildings. Enjoy hiking on several trails, including those with panoramic views of the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers.
