"I have to admit that, in my case, I didn’t enjoy at all. Staff is so inflexible, I was in a business trip. Impossible to get a cold sandwich after 9pm (arrived at 9:07) no other options in town except an Indian. The hotel is pet friendly which I like but for the rest not an option for me. A pity because I was expecting something different. The rooms are fine but too many steps and a bit caotic "

"Lovely comfy bed and quality bedding. Good thick curtains to keep out the light. Can control own radiator so not too hot or cold and generous tea/coffee facilities in room. Would stay again, thanks Alice. "

"Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way . Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery. So glad we had booked as they were turning people away ! The staff were excellent- friendly , courteous and attentive. Lovely relaxing night away , helped by the English heatwave ."

"Great stay. Good sized room with everything I could need. clean and warm. Rooms located in building alongside pub so no noise or disturbance. Ate in the pub and found the food to be excellent quality and a very fair price. Very tasty A location I will happily return to"

"Fabulous room, only slightly let down by empty picture hooks and non working lights. Bed is 2 singles pushed together which made it difficult to cuddle up, but otherwise very comfortable night."

"Staff very friendly. First night we arrived dining room wasn't open due to staff sickness, however young lady offered us sandwiches or pizza off the menu. Bar well stocked. Lovely place with awesome views of rolling hills"
