El lugar me encanta ,quisas no fue bueno en la temporada que vinimos ,pero mi esposo y yo buscabamos algo asi tranquilo ,el servicio tiene que mejorar un poco mas ,solo eso pero la limpieza exelente ,le dare otra oportunidad cuando se vaya el frio ,porque me encanto el hotel antiguo

Quaint and charming place to relax and unwind. Right off the main drag so convenient to all area attractions including Tanglewood, Monument park and Great Barrington. Teri and David made us feel right at home and we’re great hosts. Would definitely return.

We would highly recommend. Although the bathroom was a bit small, we loved our room and the small sitting balcony won us over.

Nothing was really wrong but the property was old and not spiffy. The breakfast was nothing special at all. The room was okay but not charming in any way.

Nice stay
The Inn keeper Terry is lovely. Beautiful location, with wrap around pouch. We had a nice breakfast, and the atmosphere is relaxing. We reserved our room with a queen bed, but we’re given a tiny room with a double bed. There is no restaurant, lounge, deli or daily housekeeping as advertised on Hotels. And it looked like the pool was not ready for guests.

We loved the quaintness and character of Thornwood Inn plus the history of it being run by the same family for almost 40 years! Terry and David were wonderful hosts, chatting with us and always ready to answer any questions we had. Homemade breakfast each morning was delicious and presented in a very appetizing way with fresh fruit every day and Terry’s baked “goodies” were a treat!! Short drive to Great Barrington and Stockbridge for shopping and eating out with a variety of restaurants available. Also a number of hiking trails were just a quick drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Thornwood Inn and hope to return again. Claudia J.

Terry and Dave were excellent hosts. Breakfast was a nice assortment of foods, including eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt etc. clean rooms, comfortable bed, easy access to the area attractions. We’ll be back!!!

The setting is absolutely lovely, beautifully landscaped. Very relaxing atmosphere with many different areas to hang out and relax, including a pool. Homemade breakfast is included and I can’t say enough about the delicious peach stuffed French toast with crispy crumble on the outside. The owners are warm, welcoming and extremely responsive. Great place to stay and close to most things in the Berkshires!

The Personal Touch
Was warmly greeted and assisted to my room. Enjoyed a very comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and personable hosts. Beautifully appointed common areas, conveniently located. So much better than staying at a chain hotel!

Needs more effort and care.
The place needs a major refreshing. The bedrooms were ok for one night's sleep. I was looking forward to the "breakfast" and it was unfortunately cheap motel quality. It just needs a little more effort. The area has so much to offer. Why not buy fresh bread and butter from "Berkshire Mountain" Bakery and offer that? Will definitly not go back.

The pool was closed and there was no notice about this on the website. The room smelled like a kitchen the whole night. The WiFi didn’t work and was fixed after multiple phone calls. The proprietors were nice and polite. The room was clean but bathroom had many spiders. It was overpriced for the quality of the place.

The Inn itself was nothing like the pictures. In Desperate need of a lot of TLC. Pool area not inviting at all. The porches and balconies definitley need repairing. One porch had a railing missing, which is very unsafe. Many rotted pieces of wood all over. Restuarant not open but advertised in the website on expedia. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Inn keepers were welcoming & helpful in things to do in the area. Could be very charming with some much needed Upkeep!

We stayed at the Thornewood for our wedding anniversary. Our room was immaculate! The inn is so cozy and pretty. I absolutely loved our stay. The owners, David & Terry, are awesome!

Weekend reunion in Berkshire
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Thornewood Inn. Inkeepers Terry and David have a lovely Inn with exceptional gardens. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. A charming night away
Beautiful surroundings, charming inn. We stayed in the main house and had a really cute room. The pool wasn't open, though the grounds were in full bloom. A unique little spot.

Ok for a night
Arrived late and left early, but the room was expensive and not as comfortable as anticipated. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, and we ended up going to a cafe nearby for a better meal. The hotel was also very loud and it felt more like we rented a room in a house than a hotel room in a BnB. However, it was very clean and well situated.

Disappointing
Inn is located on busy noisy highway and is in the middle of nowhere. You have to drive to get to anything. Room was nicely decorated but nothing practical to place belongings and help keep you organized in a place away from home....no dresser... no closet. As with the room, there was no place in bathroom to place toiletries .. no shelve or counter or room on sink. And I was most disappointed with their keurig coffee machine ... or I should say disappointed in the fact that I would not work because it was programmed incorrectly... and thought I reported it to the staff, it still didn't work the next morning. Coffee early in the morning is really nice.

We always strive to make our guests experience with us one that they will fondly remember, and become loyal customers. Any issue, while the guest is with us, we would love to be made aware of, so we may address it then. Our Inn is located on the main road through town, and some rooms face that, others are on the opposite side, with little or no noise from traffic. We are conveniently located only 1 mile from the center of Great Barrington, a very simple drive. We never suggest we are in the center of town.. however we certainly are not in the middle of nowhere. The Kurig was new to us, and we believed that programing it would be more convenient for our guests, since then, we let them turn it on themselves.

Truly pleasant owners and very comforting stay!!!
We had a wonderful stay. The food, room, and the owners hospitality all were exactly what my wife and I pictured when we decided to go to a bed and breakfast for the night. We hope that the owners (who we had after dinner drinks with) figure out what niche they need to get people to frequent Thornwood more, because once they get them into the B and B they will then be able to give them similar experiences to what we had for our weekend. We would definitely go back!!
