Wonderful Experience and Great Home

We spent 3 nights with old friends to ski, eat and catch up early March. We had a great time. The location is ideal, the home is beautiful and the weather cooperated. Highly recommend this property.

GREAT BARRINGTON

House was very beautiful and clean. Plenty of room for a large family . Quiet and private street although its right next to train tracks honestly only heard the train once . AMAZING views of the deck and relaxing . Would definitely like to rent this home again. Thank you for the pleasant experience 😊 ☺️

Excellent Great Barrington Stay

Perfect place to meet up with family coming from Albany Boston and New York. Spacious area and immaculately kept. Great layout to spend time and short walk to town. Big plus farmer’s market was open. Travel up the road alongside the tracks was precarious but manageable. Would love to come back.agaiin.

Family Reunion

The house is a convenient 5 minute walk to downtown Great Barrington for dinning, shopping, playground, etc. We were in GB for a family reunion, so meeting family at GB Eats for breakfast was perfect. The house was as advertised, clean and well equipped. The road access needs to be regraded for some, but we were in SUV's, so no issue for us.

Really nice stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The pros are you can easily walk to the great downtown. It’s a big hill but a very close walk. And you can walk to the lake which is great for kids. The property was very clean and works well if you need 3 bedrooms. It’s not a huge lawn but big enough for kids to play. Only cons are the kitchen equipment is hit or miss and the grill is not in amazing shape, which makes cooking a little tricky.

Beautiful Log Cabin Home

This is a great log home to rent. It sleeps a lot of people and the common spaces are large and accommodating. It's a quick walk to downtown Great Barrington. This was a great place for our dog, who had to sniff everything. Spectacular views from the mostly glass side of the living room. We did have a bit of a checkout issue which I won't detail, as I'm pretty certain it was the managing agent's and not the owners fault. Highly recommend.

We stayed in this VRBO on a recent trip to visit family. The house and property are very well maintained with just a couple of easy tweaks. Dish Towels! LOL! The view is beautiful. And walking distance to town and our favorite restaurant, Praiprie Whale! We will visit again. Thanks Lucas!

Home base for Miraval spa day trips

This house was the perfect home base for a girls getaway to the Miraval Spa. Five of us slept very comfortably in the house, with space for more if you have larger groups. The Miraval Spa was 20-25 minutes away and the house was a great, more economical alternative to staying overnight at the spa, given the size of our group. The house manager was very communicative and checked in several times during our stay. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The house was also a short walk right to the heart of Main Street in Great Barrington. Great experience and would be very happy to rent again.

Great house right in town

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It was clean, as pictured, fully equipped and very comfortable for our 8 guests. You can walk to Main Street in minutes and Butternut Mountain is a 5 minute ride away. It is really well-located. If I were to say one small downside, it would be the awkward road and driveway up to the house. It is a bit confusing at first and if it is snowing, you would definitely need a 4 W drive car (which is stated in the reservation). Other than that, it was really great!

Close to town, cozy, warm and comfortable.

The house was great! It is set back and high up, so that it overlooks the beautiful and quaint shops and restaurants of Great Barrington. The house has giant windows, high ceilings, a gas fireplace, and comfortable beds! It was a perfect place to relax, read, unwind and spend time together! You can walk down the hill/driveway and you are right in the heart of downtown which is lovely! Beautiful shops and fantastic coffee shops/restaurants. I am thankful that the weather was unseasonably warm because I would not have wanted to navigate the hilly driveway in winter weather. The road up to the house wasn’t great (dirt road and a few “holes”) but once up the hill, it was totally worth it!!

Berkshire Escape

Lovely place. Perfect for 3 couples each having their own room. Very, very clean and comfortable in all refrains! Pictures tell some of the story, visiting the rest. A perfect story. We got bumped 24 hours before leaving for the Berkshires and started a panic search for properties that would fit our small groups needs in a 911 fashion. This property looked perfect and the property owner was excellent to communicate with and to allow us to get settled into a reservation for same allowing us to save our trip. The property owner communicated with me throughout our visit answering all questions I had and allowing my group to maximize the enjoyment of our stay! I can't say enough great things about the property, the location, the surrounding area, the weather, and most importantly the host! Excellent comes close. My best, Steve (Very Happy VRBO Customer)

The other side of the tracks!

We did enjoy our stay dispite the terrible access to the house over a very rutted dirt road that ran dangerously close to railroad tracks. When a train went by it sounded like it was coming thru the living room. The house was nice with basic appointments but lacked adequate and comfortable seating. We were 7 senior adults and the only living room seating was one couch with no additional chairs. The kitchen table had uncomfortable wooden bench seating for six with no chair pads on the hard benches. The outdoor deck was not usuable with only 2 Adirondack chairs. The listing said it could accomodate up to 14 guests but there was not enough seating for anywhere near that amount of people! Any group over 6 or 7 adults would have had an uncomfortable stay.

Short get away

The property is gorgeous although finding it can be a bit challenging. Once you realize the driving along the railroad tracks means exactly that, you see the house and know it’s worth it. Walking to town is easy and the property is well appointed and very comfortable.

Great Stay

The location of this house is perfect. It’s tucked in on a small hill above the town of GB and because of this it feels very secluded and “in the country” despite it being a 5 minute walk to downtown. The pictures of the view and the house are accurate. The interior is very clean and hospitable. Lots of kitchen supplies and a great living room with huge TV. Beds are very comfortable.

Beautiful home steps away from downtown

We had a family trip to celebrate my dad's 80th. Everyone loved the house. Super clean and very well-stocked. I loved that you could walk into town so quickly. The downtown area of Great Barrington is adorable - cute shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Cabin on the Hill!

This is a VERY clean and well-stocked home up on the hill overlooking downtown Great Barrington. You can easily walk from the house to all of the restaurants and shops in town, yet the way the house is situated on the hill makes it feel like you are nicely secluded. The beds are extremely comfortable foam mattresses made up with clean and soft linens. It was the perfect spot for four friends to escape for a weekend!
