Upstairs shower way too small. Sirections provided to get there contained mistakes/were not clear enough which cost us more than 3 extra hours to get there. Beautiful views and very peaceful.

Beautiful view. Clean, mountain cabin, nice porch. The only negative issues I could mention is the upstairs shower is extra tiny. Tough to get a shower in there, I'm 180 lbs. The porch could use some comfortable chairs to enjoy the scenery. All in all, very nice cabin and vacation

Fabulous views

Had a great vacation at “Above it all”. Paperwork and communication was great and receiving entry code by text was extremely convenient. Cabin was clean, and despite the few dead bugs, not much of an issue. Fixtures and furniture like stepping into the 80’s but everything worked. Upstairs shower could use a new shower head. The shower is very small and the showerhead squirts water in every direction making it very hard to shampoo and rinse your hair. Best part of this cabin was the view, and what a view it is, 10/10!

Million dollar view

We had a lovely time. The view and the wood fireplace made our stay. The property could use a few updates but we weren’t there for modernization. Very secluded so we took everything we needed.

Breathtaking Views!

Beautiful views! Tons of lady bugs all over inside though. Beware if you hate that. Probably needs to be treated for them. We'd stay here again!

Nice view, cabin needs updating

View was nice but cabin needs a facelift and updating. Lots of potential, but needs TLC and furnishing updates as everything appears to be original and from the 1980’s. Upstairs shower was too tiny for use, even for a small person. Shower heads in both bathrooms were terrible, more washcloths should be supplied, as well as a new mattress for upstairs. It was very uncomfortable. If the total price per night was the base $136 as advertised we would have been more understanding, but after all fees we paid $224 per night which is greatly overpriced. Would not stay again for this price.

Beautiful and comfy

Property was clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. View from the deck was great! Location was perfect for the hiking vacation we had in mind and there were some great local restaurants and shops. Not a crowded area but a lot of options for things to see/do.

Perfect

Our stay was perfect, this awesome place is in the middle of nowhere ( really it’s not far) but it was so quiet and peaceful, it sits high in a hill and the view was perfect! The home itself was all you could ask for without breaking the bank - I mean if stay here again easily and may just do that, that’s how much I liked it. perfect sums it all up , smh Icom

nice layout . view is not exactly like in listing due to growing trees. fair amount of dead bugs on windowsills and corners. critter in the wall scratching around. gutter above back door needs attention to not have waterfall when it rains. very very quiet.

Wonderful property!

The cabin was tucked in the mountains with a beautiful morning and sunset view of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook and enjoy a cup of coffee. The facility was very clean. Communication with the property manager was above and beyond what I anticipated.

Really "Above it all"

This cabin high up in the NC mountains has an unbelievable view from the wrap-around deck. The cabin was well-equipped, and comfortable. The staff offered a very easy check-in process.

Wayne's World

We stayed at this location for the Wayne Henderson Guitar Festival, just up in Virginia. We did have a change of property due to a maintenance issue with the original booking, but the property management folks were very helpful and provided this (actually an upgrade for the same cost). The place was very clean - important for grandchildren! Would definitely use again, thx.

Beautiful views and great location

The views are spectacular! The location is great for West Jefferson and Grayson Highlands State Park. The cabin was clean and had everything you need as far as kitchen accessories. We loved the natural wood burning fire place and had a fire each night. The only two negatives were the stink bug infestation (I realize they are part of nature and difficult to control, but still very annoying) and the upstairs shower is really too small to use, since there was only two of us we used the downstairs shower but preferred the upstairs bedroom. Overall it was a nice cabin and stay.

Above it All did not disappoint. We had a great vacation, away from it all. We loved the seclusion and the beautiful Mountain view. The boys loved the Foosball table!

Above it All

Perfect location for relaxing, great view of mountains, and plenty of privacy. Kitchen has a crock pot, toaster, espresso pots, and toaster, plus plenty of cooking gear. It’s a steep single lane gravel road to get to top of mountain (lodging) with plenty of deer. Bring groceries…it’s a hike for prepared food. Don’t miss eating at Red Dog Bar/Bistro in Piney Creek. Based on prior reviews, we brought our own sheets and blankets. Bring firewood and starter…the fireplace is glorious! Also, don’t miss hiking or simply visiting Grayson Highlands State Park. It’s a beautiful drive there through Christmas tree farms, and tiny towns. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to another stay…didn’t hike ALL the trails in Grayson Highlands yet.

Beautiful views

We chose the cabin for the view and it did not disappoint in that regard. Wonderful views in all directions and plenty of peace and quiet. My only complaint would be the upstairs shower is barely usable as it is maybe 2’x2’ at most. I am not a big person and I found it impossible to use, we all opted to use the downstairs shower instead. Overall still a very nice trip.
