The ranch is absolutely beautiful and the home has everything you would need. Tracey the caretaker was very helpful with suggestions for hikes etc. We hope we will be able to come back.

Our trip at the ranch was amazing. The property was just so beautiful. I’ve never had such a relaxing trip. My whole family enjoyed it and we’re definitely rebooking for next year Tracy that handles the property was the best thing she was so sweet and so nice and thanks Stephanie for making the arrangements easy for us. Beautiful estate with lots to do.

Every year I host a family reunion get together. This property was a great choice and more than ideal.It is meticulously maintained and offers a lot to do. The house is immaculate and spacious. The pond is a preeminent feature and the adults and children alike found endless pleasure leisurely spending time in the water swimming, boating, or jumping on the trampoline. The young kids spent hours enthralled by fishing with little nets and putting small fish in buckets and eventually dumping them back into the pond. This small lake was such an attraction that no one left to seek other activities in the nearby area.Everyone was comfortable and had a great time staying at the house. Whether visiting the horses and donkeys and goats or spending time in the water or in the Jacuzzi or barbecuing or playing games in the yard, everyone enjoyed their time at this scenic country estate. This is a fantastic destination.Everything on the property worked great. I would most definitely book this property again.

Absolutely Amazing

The drive up to the property gave us a sense of wonder on what we would experience on the other side of the gate. It was awesome and more than what we could have even expected even after seeing the beautiful pictures on VRBO. This was an off-site meeting for nine of us to strategize for next year and continue some long overdue team building. Pop’s Place gave us everything and more. We all love to cook the kitchen/big room set up was perfect for us. Usually, each year, we do an outside venture while staying where we stay, but this time we didn’t leave this oasis because it offered everything we could possibly need! We loved this place so much, we can’t wait to return. Many thanks to our host the owner, Stephanie, and Tracy who is the caretaker on property who was very gracious with her time and assistance! Until next time!!!

fun again at pop's place

second year in a row our extended family of 13 visited pop's place for a week of fun. weather was fantastic and we felt we knew our way about having stayed last year. the pond had changed a bit. the zip line was taken down, for insurance reasons i'm sure. there were no longer any cat fish in the pond, which disappointed our little fishermen, but they still had great fun bouncing on the tethered trampoline and taking the row boats out. we would highly suggest this wonderful paradise. a chance to get into the country without being too far from home.

Amazing property for families or large groups!

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful home in May of 2024 to host a family celebration. The weather was perfect and the property was gorgeous. The trees & flowers were blooming and everything was a gloriously green. There are two adorable bungalows with their own bathrooms located on the grounds. There’s also a large cottage room that’s connected to the main house with a huge bathroom and walk-in closet. For fun there’s a volleyball court, tennis court, basketball court, a lake you can swim in, not to mention an awesome library! In the evenings we hung out by the firepit, barbecued & enjoyed the beautiful night. It was a magical 3 day weekend with my family and we can’t wait to book another trip next year!! The owner and caretaker were great with communication & were so welcoming. Absolutely love this place, it deserves 5 stars for sure!!

Wonderful stay

Beautiful property. One of my favorite VBRO finds! Celebrated my moms 90th birthday. Place was perfect for us. Would come back again for sure! Communications with owners and onsite manager were excellent Only improvement I would make is to add another bathroom in the main house

Amazing Property with everything you need!

This was one of the best vacation properties I have had the pleasure of staying at. They literally have everything you need there like a fully decked out kitchen, fire wood, and even recreation supplies. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would book again. The property is amazing and the house/ cottages are big and decorated very nicely. I miss it already.

Family Christmas in Grass Valley

This place was beautiful, words cannot describe it. Communication with property management was great, the sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. Our hike to the stream was so much fun! The fishing pond and fire pit was so much fun! Too much to list, but we will definitely be coming back.

Amazing Anniversary Weekend for all

We just had the most wonderful reunion at this same house we had rented 10 years ago to stay at when we got married at Empire Mine. The house is even more amazing than we remembered. The property managers are the kindest sweetest hosts and we had the most beautiful stay. Everything was clean and easy and accessible. The grounds were just lovely. The kids enjoyed the vineyard and apple trees and going to see the horses and donkeys. The hike to the creek was beautiful and the zip line and trampoline and row boats as fun as ever. Thanks for the most wonderful weekend. We will cherish the memories until we can come back and do it all again!

Magical Engagement!

Pat & Kathleen were such gracious hosts! We had a large group for an engagement party! There is so much to do on this property! From fishing to basketball there’s something for everyone. Our group all couldn’t believe how magical the home and property are! The book shelf in the main house is the focal point of the home. The outdoors is where our guests mainly were for much of the day at the pond riding the zip line. If you are considering this place you must go! You won’t have an experience like this place elsewhere! We will be coming again based on the feedback we will be making this a yearly experience! Thanks so much!

Seriously Amazing

This is a stunning house. And it must be noted that the caretakers of this property are simply magical. They are friendly, helpful and anticipate exactly what we needed. How do they do that! They took us down to the river to show us the best swim spots. They helped with any little question. And yet they are unobtrusive and left us to enjoy the house and property on our own. I can't wait to come back!

Amazing property!

This place was a true dream property. We have a wonderful time with a large group of friends and kids for my husbands 40th birthday. The house was beautiful and immaculate when we got there. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great vacation. Pricey, yes. But completely worth it. The home has very helpful property caretakers on site if needed as well. Thank you!! Breath taking, we cannot wait to go back!

Nothing about our trip could not have been better. We were a large group, multiple families with kids and adults of all ages. Before even arriving, the communication with Kathleen, the property manager, was great. She was so friendly and answered all of our questions about the house and was very helpful. When we arrived, the property was breath taking. Everything exceeded expectations. The house is amazing and well stocked with games, books, linens, full kitchen with all you might need, and plenty of outdoor equipment for the kids and adults to play with. The pictures simply just don’t do this place justice. Most of all, Kathleen and Patrick are amazing hosts. They were there to greet us upon arrival and show us around. They live on the property but do not invade your privacy during your stay. They are so friendly and helpful if there is anything you need. Patrick showed us some great places for hiking and where the creek was. The pond, zip line and animals on the property kept the kids (and adults) busy throughout the day. We will definitely be booking a return visit!
