The property location is great. We stayed for two nights and had no issues. Super cozy and laid back place. If your looking for fancy, this is not the place. If your looking for a simple place to stay only to sleep and explore during the day, this is a good place.

Great hosts, lots of potential
Great, local mountain motel. The hosts are working to update and remodel this motel. They have done great work so far! We had a room that had not been updated yet, so it was pretty basic, but it clean and had plenty of space for our family of four. I look forward to visiting again once more updates have been completed.

The innkeepers were nice and folksy. An older place but a heck of a nice place to rest your head at the end of a day. They will see me again!

Excellent Stay! Hosts went out of their way to make sure our stay was great! Enjoyed the backyard with the river running through. Room was clean and comfortable.

What a cozy little place!! The new owners are VERY friendly, and accommodating!! (We were traveling with dogs, and needed an early check-in time.) Can’t wait to see what kind of changes they’re going to make!!

The property around the motel has been cleaned up and there is outdoor areas with excellent views of the South Platte River.

The motel is old and need upgrading. The new owners were extremely gracious and helpful. Hopefully given time they will fully turn things around.

We stayed at the Grant Motel for one night and were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the Motel manager and the cleanliness of the room. The motel is dog friendly, which was nice as we were able to bring our furry friend. I would recommend this place to others.

New owners are making the place great! The owner greeted us as soon as we pulled in. He's done a great job fixing up the place. Rooms are nice and clean! He even started a fire for us by the creek! He gave us great directions for some great views. Definitely a great get away! A must stay!

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Grant Motel. The owner was quite friendly, and knew a lot about wine. He recommended a nice bottle, and even brought us wine glasses to further the experience. The hotel is very close to Kenosha Pass for hiking and a great little restaurant called the Shaggy Sheep. Perfect weekend getaway.

Great little place right off the highway. A little hard to find in the dark if you aren't paying attention. A creek out back sounds nice. The gentleman who checked us in late at 11:00 pm was very kind and accommodating. Very clean room. I would stay here again!

Don’t stay here, better off sleeping in the car. Beyond outdated, unkept and linens were older than my 18 year old son. Has a liquor store and tumble weed out front. No WiFi

What's your name? Did you even stay here? My linens and towels are new. What's having a liquor store have to do with anything? My rooms are very clean. I do not have free wifi as I'm very remote and wifi is expensive. I do offer wifi for a fee or you can do what I do and pay for my own wifi.

Grant Motel Review
Great stay! Owner is very nice and so is Sky, the dog. Motel is right on the Platte River. Spacious room with a nice kitchen. Ended up hanging with the other guests and drinking some beers. Kind of felt like camping. Don't forget to eat at the Shaggy Sheep just up the road.

Expensive for what one gets.
This is a very basic motel. Very solicitous proprieter, but....no wifi, no food. Expensive for what one gets, even though I booked well in advance.

Good Local Small Hotel
The Grant Hotel is not trying to compete with the chain hotels or B&Bs. It is a local unobtrusive hotel with a mountain town service level. It is perfect for me as I just want a place to stay in the area from time to time. I rated it according to THAT standard. I would stay there again.

The grant is a small place but very cute the owner is super nice and working hard to fix the place up does everything himself and does a great job some things are out of date but kept very clean

I did not stay here but was charged anyway
I ordered a room with a queen bed and the option for a roll away for ten dollars more. When I got there, manager informed me he had "upgraded" me to a king bed and there was no room for a roll away. I had booked for one kid but wound up bringing two that night, and that just was not going to work. Had planned to put the second kid in the roll away. Manager said he'd charge me anyway, unless someone showed up to rent it (not likely at 9 pm). I think I should have gotten the room I asked for and it would have been fine. As it was, I had to drive to Morrison and get a hotel there.

I'm sorry you feel this way, but I discussed this all with you in person at the motel. Your reservation was for 1 person in a room with one queen bed. You did not request or reserve a roll-away. bed. I have 2 roll-aways for 5 rooms. Both roll-aways were in use and not available for you. You arrived after 9:30pm with 3 people. I was fully booked that night and had been turning away people looking for a room all day. I kept a room open for you that could have worked for you but you chose not to stay. I informed you that if I couldn't re-rent the room, that you would be charged for the room. That is what I believe a reservation is.

I'm sorry you feel this way. My motel listing with Expedia doesn't list phones in the room. The motel is remote and our only wifi is off a Verizon cell phone tower. My plan is for only 5 gigs and my usage was up for the month when you stayed here. I
