Hi Carolyn, Your safety comes first, and we are glad everyone is ok. I want to make it perfectly clear that this was NOT a carbon monoxide leak at all. There are CO detectors in every bedroom as well as upstairs and downstairs and all were working properly. Thankfully, it was only a dryer vent that had come loose from the back of the dryer. It is an electric dryer which does NOT produce any carbon monoxide. We are thankful everyone is ok. In your check in instructions, we give three 24/7 emergency contact numbers. If you would have reached out to any of those numbers prior to calling VRBO, someone would have been there within 30 minutes. We are very sorry this experience was very alarming and unnerving, but it was a false alarm and several redundant safeguards were in place to prevent the scare. We did refund you money for your stress and trouble. Thank you for understanding, Kevin and Katy
