Maison et emplacement idéaux
La maison de Samar est parfaite pour 6 personnes, parfaitement placée au coeur de l'Albaycin, avec tout accessible à pieds mais également une place de parking (couvert et fermé) pour laisser la voiture. Très propre et très bien équipée. Les explications en français de Samar sont précieuses. Nous recommandons cette location.

Shower head upstairs bathroom unstable
The shower head connection to the wall is unstable. The socket is loose and does not hold the shower head in position. The shower connection from the middle of the tub is impractical since it is in the way when trying to take a shower. Overall, place is very well designed except for the shower upstairs and downstairs against sloped ceiling... Not great for tall people. Also, upstairs tub is a slipping hazard when trying to work with the in the way shower head and connection.

Great property in fantastic location, best for warm weather
We had a very nice few days at this home in Grenada. The location couldn't have been better, within walking distance of the Alhambra and many other things, a grocery store a block away, nearby parking, lots of restaurants and wonderful views. The owners were excellent communicators leading up to the stay and came quickly when we called with an issue. The home included almost all the amenities we could want (although there is not actually a hot tub as far as we could tell). We were there at a unique time - the roads leading to the home happened to be all blocked off the afternoon we arrived due to an Easter week procession and we were told by police that we wouldn't be able to get in until 1am. Luckily we managed to get up by foot, then went back to get the car later that night, earlier than anticipated. The one issue that was difficult for us was that we were there during a very cold and rainy week in late March. The wall heaters in the home are very old and anemic. It took a full 24 hours before I was able to take off my coat. It was a wonderful place, but the first day I was wondering if we'd need to check out and find a hotel because I was so cold. The owner came right over and helped us turn on the heaters (appreciated) but they still were very weak and slow to remove the chill. This probably is a very rare issue as the weather was unusually cold, and many Spaniards don't heat their homes at all, but it is something to be aware of if you are sensitive to the cold.

Family visit to Granada
I stayed with husband and 2 daughters for 3 nights after Easter. The flat was clean, spacious and really well located. Beds were comfy and showers strong. Good communication with the owner. Only downside is that it is noisy - people below had a dog that whined all day and evening (can only assume it was home alone) and when they got home at midnight, they were loud and inconsiderate until 2am. Not the fault of the owner, obviously, but just to be aware.

Not good
The main bathroom has an extreme mold issue which is managed with chemicals to a degree, but I consider this a health hazard. The house was very cold in areas . Antiquated heaters which work to varying degrees (we are visiting in Feb). The main bathroom cold tap makes a loud hammering noise and the cold, tiny downstairs shower/loo also had some mold and an inadequate shower curtain. The kitchen has a drawer type bin which really sticks and the fridge creaks annoyingly every time you open/close the door. There is a lot of noise in the streets at night and early am which kept us awake. The very narrow streets are cobbled and you have to be very careful to avoid the dog mess. On the plus side, the manager, Antonio, was super helpful.

Estimada Vianne, sentimos que no haya usted tenido una experiencia perfecta en nuestra casa. No obstante creemos que ha sido usted bastante critica en su valoración, destacando solo los aspectos negativos y no valorando los positivos. Respecto a las pequeñas manchas de moho que aparecieron en un baño queremos apuntar que apareció hacia el final de su estancia de 15 dias, debido a que usted no ventiló el baño, me lo comunico un domingo y al dia siguiente vino el personal de limpieza para eliminarlo, solo usaron lejia y fue completamente eliminado en una hora, la lejia no es un producto especialmente extraño o nocivo para la salud. Asimismo cada vez que usted pido algún elemento extra se lo proporcionamos así como cambio de sabanas y toallas gratis. En cualquier caso le agradecemos su valoración e intentamos mejorar cada dia.

Die Konversation mit Hatha war super. Alle Infos gut verständlich und Samar hat uns auf unsere bitte auch eine Kleinigkeit zu essen bereit gestellt, da wir erst spät am Abend angekommen sind. Das Haus liegt toll. Die Bäder waren sehr klein und mit den schrägen war es nicht so einfach, aber für 3 Nöchte war das ok für uns Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen

Perfection in Granada
From the booking of the trip through the end, this could not have gone better. The communication before check in was excellent; clear directions to make parking and finding the house a breeze. The location is absolutely perfect!! We loved the charm of the Albaycin, with amazing views of The Alhambra just minutes away, and within walking distance to everything you need or could want to see in Granada. Plus, the host made sure there were maps and information waiting for us to make it the best trip possible. This was the best rental experience we have had using VRBO. Great space with common areas but separate bedrooms for privacy.

Good communication and easy check in. Beds very comfortable and the tea/coffee provided was appreciated. Located in a great area for sightseeing and plenty of eating/drinking out places. Can easily walk to most places even though you are at the top of the hill. Plenty of public transport options if you don’t fancy walking

Beautiful location, beautiful city
The perfect town house for a stay in wonderful Granada. Prettiest part of town with lovely plazas and little streets full of cafés, restaurants super markets and lots of interest. Easy bus route (4mins walk) straight into town and to al hambra. Super helpful host with perfect local restaurant recommendations (Tocuato / Aixa). We are a family of 5 (7yr - 49yr) and all loved our stay. Thank you.

Absolutely perfect place to stay, both house and vicinity
Absolutely perfect place to stay. We didn’t want to venture outside Albycin as we loved the atmosphere and character so much. The area has beautiful views of the Alhambra and lots of lovely restaurants. The house was very comfortable and the balcony much appreciated. Fully equipped, nicely decorated, well-situated, so we totally recommend it. Food shops are at walking distance. We didn’t meet Antonio but he was very responsive and provided all necessary information. The arrangement with the public parking worked well and it is very convenient for the house. We only used the bedroom on the main floor (1st) and found it very comfortable.

Joys of Granada
My wife and I had the great pleasure of spending a month in this very comfortable three story home. The location was perfect for us to walk every where or to take a convenient bus to farther parts of town. With two restaurants within 50 meters of the house we could not have asked for more. We are elderly, but the location of things near this lovely home constantly invited us to go out walking and exploring this great neighborhood and city.

Great stay in Granada
This was a great house. We didn’t realize how big it would be, even though it was shown to have three bedrooms. We took it even though there was only three of us, because of the easy walk to the Alhambra. This would be idea for a family. Although I would warn anyone with difficulty climbing stairs, it is multi level, like most places you find over here. It was very clean, has good reasonably price restaurants near by, two baths, and a great kitchen, though when on vacation we rarely cook. The taxi from the train station to the apartment was under €10. We we’re extremely pleased with how easy it was to reach the owner/manager and the departure arrangements. Superbe location
Samar à toujours et réactif à nos questions. Ahtha la personne qui nous a acceuili, parle très très bien le français. Elle nous a donné quelques petits conseils pour visiter. Le logement est très propre, Fonctionel et surtout très proche de l'alhambra à pieds (25 mn dans les petite ruelles de l'Albycim et dans un jardin très agreable). Nous recommandons fortement.

Die perfekte und sympathische Schlüsselübergabe durch Hata, welche immer ansprechbar war , war ein Start in eine wunderbare Woche. In dem Viertel voll leben mit toller Aussicht zur Alhambra, Frühstücksbars und Restaurants hat man den perfekten Startpunkt für Erkundungen Granadas und der Umgebung. Das Haus ist über drei Stockwerke mit 3 Schlafzimmern welche alle eine Klimaanlage haben, was im Sommer perfekt ist. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Great little cation and apartment
Would highly recommend this lovely apartment. It’s in an ideal position at the top of the Old town so in the most interesting area in Granada in my opinion. Plenty of local bars and some very small but useful supermarkets close by. We were there in the heat wave and the flat remained cool and although air-conditioned didn’t have to have it on all the time. Be aware all the streets and pavements are cobbled so trainers ideal and walk down to town steep but taxi back only 4 euros. Also life is lived late in summer so some noise at 1ish but otherwise very quiet. We loved our stay.

Une maison confortable dans un quartier historique
Nous avons été accueillis de manière très sympathique par Hatha, parfaitement francophone. Le logement est vaste, impeccable et confortable pour une famille avec des ados, et heureusement chauffé. Le lit de la chambre du bas mériterait un matelas plus confortable. Quelques couverts, bols et saladiers de plus dans la cuisine seraient appréciés. Petits commerces et nombreux bars à proximité. Le quartier commence à se "gentrifier" mais nous en sommes aussi responsables en tant que touristes, alors... Nous avons passé une journée entière sur l'Alhambra. Le système de réservation en ligne et la billetterie fonctionnent bien, les files d'attente sont très limitées (fin octobre). Merci aussi pour le parking proche qui permet de se passer de voiture et de de tout faire à pied.

Very quaint in a nice area of Granada
This apartment was very nice and comfortable. It is located in a nice part of Granada close to the Alhambra. It was great for all 5 of us (all adults). We never felt crowded. Antonio and Samar were very nice and easy to talk with. There were great restaurants all around the apartment. I would definitely rent this apartment again and highly recommend it.

Inviting home with lots of charm in Granada!
This unique home has lots of charm. It was comfortable and inviting for our family of five (2 adults and 3 kids ages 4, 9, and 16). We had plenty of space and the little veranda was a nice place to spend the evening. It was close to lots of great restaurants and shops and a quick walk to the mirador or best place to overlook Alhambra. The AC was great and everyone stayed plenty cool in the hit July months. There was also good info and maps provided by the owner to help us get around quickly. Much appreciated! We loved it and wish we could have stayed longer!

Appartement coquet et bien agencé accueil parfait avec une petite visite du quartier le plus populaire de Grenade l 'Abaycin . Tous les commerces à proximité immédiate, nous recommandons la boulangerie de Maria un pain bon comme chez nous (c'est plutôt rare es Espagne). Un garage pour la voiture et vous voilà paré pour quelques jours à Grenade avec des visites des visites et encore des visites. Seule bémol la salle de douche du bas est vraiment trop exiguë pour être vraiment utile.

Reise in die Vergangenheit
Die Wohnung ist gut eingerichtet, sauber und die Lage eignet sich um Granada zu besichtigen. Es steht in der Nähe ein Garagenplatz zur Verfügung. Bei der Wohnung handelt es sich um ein renoviertes, altes Reihenhaus. Die Wände sind so dünn, dass man die Gespräche der einheimischen Nachbarn gut verfolgen kann. Die Gassen auf beiden Seiten des Hauses sind schmall, so dass es nach oben hallt. Das untere Badezimmer ist in einer Nische gebaut worden und damit nur für kleine Personen geeignet (bis 1.60 m). Insgesamt scheinen uns die Platzverhältnisse für 6 Personen zu eng (wir waren nur 4). Falls man nostalgisch veranlagt ist und den Charme der 60er Jahre mag, können wir diese Wohnung empfehlen. Wir hätten es gern etwas moderner und grosszügiger gehabt. Grundsätzlich ist die Wohnung aber in Ordnung.

Maison très bien situé
Excellent accueil de Claudio qui nous attendait au stationnement, celui-ci fut très apprécié. La maison est très bien situé dans ce quartier typique pour se rendre dans le centre à pied ou en bus. Nous avons trouvé la salle de bain du premier étage très exiguë, nous avions de la difficulté à se mouvoir et il n'y avait aucun endroit pour déposer ses effets personnels ou accrocher quoique ce soit. Les planchers étaient moyennement propres et les linges de cuisine réduits au minimum, un seul linge pour essuyer la vaisselle qui devait servir aussi pour s'essuyer les mains. Malgré tout cette maison demeure très recommandable.

When in Albaicin do as the Albaicins do
The clean apartment is well located on a narrow, quiet street. It is on 3 floors: at the entrance is a dark bedroom (because the street is so narrow) and a tiny, miniscule bathroom with a sloped ceiling and no window. One flight up is the floor for living, with the pleasant open kitchen, dining and living area and main bedroom (not so quiet at night), with plently of windows. The building across the street is so close that privacy is impossible unless windows are closed and curtains drawn, a characteristic of the neighborhood. A second flight up is a small bedroom - private and quiet at night because almost windowless - with a sloped ceiling (one of the 2 occupants better not be tall!) and a/c, the main bathroom with a sloped ceiling and a small terrace. The 2 rooms on this top floor were possibly converted from an attic; the ceilings are so sloped that the windows are at the floor level. The common areas on the central floor are comfortable and pleasant, the pantry items and supplies were refreshed.. The occupants of the main bedroom have to go a flight up or down to use a bathroom which is terribly inconvenient particularly at night. If occupants are tall or prefer not to be going up and down flights of steps this is not the place for you. The garage where a parking space is available for an extra fee is easily accessible entering the city and is about 100 mt from the house.

Great location in the heart of Albaizin
This is a great little house in a lovely location near really good bars and restaurants, with stupendous views of the Alhambra. Owners were great with good communication. Car parking was a very useful bonus. Easy to get a bus or cheap taxi to nearby locations, but if you are fit everything is walkable (hills). This is proper Spain and a cultural joy.

Great location, nice place
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Granada. Samar was fantastic and a wealth of information on the area. We loved having the dedicated parking spot. The place is large and affords a lot of privacy for everyone staying in the house. Each of the 3 bedrooms is on a separate floor and there's a very large kitchen and decent sized living area. The only downside is that only one of the three bedrooms is air conditioned. The weather was in the mid-90's during our visit and it was hot in the un-air conditioned bedrooms. The location is great.

D'abord et avant tout des remerciements à notre gentille propriétaire, Samar, qui est pétillante comme une coupe de champagne! Son accueil, ses conseils, sa bonne humeur, son humour et son sourire sont autant d'atouts pour apprécier l'appartement et nous encourager à profiter du meilleur de son quartier et plus largement de cette ville magnifique. L'appartement est très agréable, confortable, décoré avec goût, bien situé par rapport aux centres d'intérêts de Grenade. Tout est fait pour rendre le séjour agréable.Les déplacements sont facilités par le service de bus régulier, bien qu'il soit aisé d'aller au centre ville à pied. Tous les commerces et restos se trouvent sur place et en prime, les habitants sont accueillants et sympathiques. Un appartement à recommander, un quartier attachant, une ville passionnante, riche de sa culture, de son patrimoine et du sens de la fête qui l'anime.

Remarquable !
Tout dans notre séjour à été remarquable ! Certes c'était notre troisième visite à cette ville si merveilleuse qu'est Grenade ! Mais cette fois-ci , en plus de la magie habituelle, nous avons pu apprécier deux choses essentielles : la chaleur d'un accueil et un lieu de vie qui a une âme. D'abord l'accès en voiture au garage est d'une simplicité enfantine avec un GPS, et cette place de stationnement est un vrai plus ! C'est là que Samar, notre hôtesse, nous attendait pour nous guider vers sa maison ( 2 minutes de marche ! ). D'emblée nous avons été plongés au cœur de ce quartier si beau et si chargé d'histoire qu'est l'Albaicin avec ses ruelles étroites et ses maisons toutes blanches ! Vaste, simple, spacieuse et bien équipée, cette jolie maison permet un séjour très confortable. La literie des lits est impeccable et tout est d'une propreté rigoureuse. Après la présentation de sa maison, Samar s'est appliqué à nous faire découvrir " son " quartier : les petites épiceries, les bonnes charcuteries à l'ancienne, boulangerie, pâtisserie, etc..Une petite précision : les prix dans l'Albaicin, sont sensiblement moins chers que dans le centre de Grenade ! Sa liste de restaurants est très pertinente, et nous l'avons consciencieusement mise à profit à commencer par le plus proche de la maison ( sans doute le meilleurs de tout le quartier ! ) Pour le reste, il appartient à chacun de découvrir l'âme de cette ville envoûtante !
