It was the perfect rental for my family. We had plently of room for sleeping. The kitchen, dining room and living room are open so it is easy to visit. It was so much fun because the lake is right out the front door. The lake access allowed us to swim, canoe and kayak. Watching the sunset while sitting on the dock was my favorite activity. We hope to go again.

This is our go-to place for our annual family get-together, and has become dear to us for its familiarity and the happy memories we've made here. It has pretty much any amenity you could hope for and it's right on the water. The cost is competitive with other places on PK; we can afford this place. Plenty of sleeping quarters, kitchen facilities, games, outdoor patio for cooking and hanging out, canoe, kayak, ping-pong...you name it. Large television which we never turned on because we were busy playing. Dock to tie up your boat/jet ski. Hammocks under a magnificent cyprus tree (watch out for those cyprus knees!) Camper trailer hookup if you need extra space, and an adjacent guest house for those who might want a little less togetherness. Enjoy your morning coffee on the dock, and your glass of wine in the evening for the lovely sunset. Host Mike is the best! Good to check on you to make sure you have what you need, but never obtrusive. Five stars!

Great place for a family get away!

Such a great stay! The house was cute, comfy, and had all the little things that make life easier. We had a whole crew—from age 5 to 60—and it worked out perfectly for everyone. Had something for everyone to keep them busy.The "Main house" could use upgraded window units,unfortunately our parents were a little too warm... Other than that, it was great!The host even checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, which was such a thoughtful touch. Already talking about when we’ll come back. Total win!

Annual Family Reunion

This was the perfect reunion week. The sunsets were spectacular, the water was perfect for everyone (ages 2 to 86), the house and outside space was beyond expectations. We even had a special guest for a while. My grandchildren so enjoyed playing with a baby swan that just walked up to them and sat in their laps. They fished and played in the lake all day, everyday. This was our best vacation ever. Thank you Mike!

Beautiful, Quiet, Family Appropriate

This is our 3rd year to stay here for a family Thanksmas gathering and it is always the same - easy to get book, great communication, clean, perfect location. There are a slew of adults and children and we do not look for space - there is plenty. There have been some upgrades that look amazing - new bedroom floor and tv, new washer, LOVE the hammocks out back! Our only snag is there is only 1 restroom in the main house, so we volley for usage LOL, but that doesn't stop us from coming back annually. See you in 2025 Mike - thanks as always :) If you are thinking of booking - do it!

Perfect location

This property fit our needs for our yearly reunion perfectly. Communication with our host was exceptional. Enjoyed our time at and in the lake. What an experience for the first time at Possum Kingdom

Such a beautiful sunset, To start the weekend off. Beecher was phenomenal. Dock was awesome. The grass is well kept. The barbecue area and patio was awesome. Just a great weekend.

We've officially adopted this place...

...as our go-to for our family reunions, which we hope to make an annual event. It's just about perfect for us. Plenty of room for those who usually wish to stay the night, lots of activities during the day. Canoe, kayak, ping pong table, games, TV, bbq grill on the spacious patio, a dock to enjoy the cool early morning hours with coffee. Clean and homey. Attached guest house for anyone who might want added privacy. To be any closer to the water you'd need to be in a boat. Mike was gracious to stay in touch with us and make sure we had what we needed. We couldn't make the wi-fi password work (probably operator error) but that just meant it was a good time to just un-plug! We would recommend this charming lake house if you're looking for a place for a group get-a-way.

Family Vacation

We had an amazing time. The property had everything we needed to have a good time. In addition, it was conveniently located to both boat rental place and hiking trails all of which we took advantage. Host Mike was incredibly responsive and very pleasant to deal with. Would highly recommend!!
