Orchid Cottage

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was perfect, comfortable with everything we needed. We were so close to a wonderful beach that was heaven! Orchid Cottage is also convenient to many great restaurants!

Lovely cottage super close to the beach

We loved our stay in Eleuthera. The cottage had what we needed and was in a great location for us. We walked on the beach at the cottage every day, it was so beautiful. Tons of linens and towels! We could have used a couple more light bulbs, but we are familiar with island living. Watching netflix was awesome, despite the challenge figuring out how to connect to it. Overall a really lovely stay that we would definitely recommend.

Adventure in Paradise

My husband and I had an amazing stay. There was a slight mix up upon our arrival and the house was not ready for us when we arrived, but Lachadra came over immediately to help and we were able to stay at the larger property next door for a night which was nice. Orchid Cottage was the perfect size for my husband and I and had all the necessary amenities. We spent our time exploring the island via the rental car provided. Someone met us at the airport with the car and it was extremely convenient and a quick process. We visited Preachers Cave, The Sapphire Blue Hole, The Queens Baths, and several beautiful beaches including Ten Bay which I highly recommend. Pascal’s Restaurant is a quick trip down the back dirt road adjacent to the house which was fun! The best part of the stay was the breathtaking private beach just a couple minutes walk from the house. Crystal clear water, the softest pink sand you’ve ever stepped foot on and awesome snorkeling. We only saw a couple people on the beach the whole week! The beach chairs, snorkeling gear and towels provided were very appreciated. My tips for those who visit Eleuthera for the first time would be explore the island!, bring bug spray (and wear it), and know that it is totally normal for the power to go off several times during your stay (it never lasts too long). Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We shall return

Couldn't be more perfect. Exceeded expections.

Eleuthera is the perfect island to stay if you like laid back life, the most beautiful pink sand deserted beaches and the nicest friendliest people in the world.(we have visited over 40 countries). Groceries and restaurants very expensive though. Orchid cottage is in a good location for exploring. Exceptional well equipped..you'll find Everything you'll need. The ONLY negative we fou s was that the path to the beautiful beach was too difficult to manage with beach chairs. But we are old and there are so many others to visit. Denis and sandy Vancouver, BC

Amazing experience!

Quaint, adorable, perfect location to breathtaking beach accesses. Quiet, safe, walk to beach. We truly can't say enough good things about our stay at Orchid Cottage! We will be back next year!

A great vacation,

Because there was a group of us we used the Orchid Cottage mainly for sleeping and spent time at the Shangri-La. The cottage was light, airy, tastely decorated and self sufficient, The four of us could have stayed there quite comfortably. The property was beautiful and we liked that we could walk to the ocean. The location was ideal, a short drive to Governor's Harbour where we bought groceries, had lunches and dinners and visited the Haynes Library (est. 1897). We drove to both the southern and northern parts of the island exploring the beaches and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Cute, cozy, beach cottage...perfect for relaxing!

We just arrived home from staying at the Orchid Cottage for almost 2 weeks. It was a quiet, convenient location and it was perfect for the 4 of us. It was clean, comfortable and just what we expected from the descriptions and the pictures. We had some issues with the municipality having to work on hydro lines and water lines that caused some inconvenience with low water pressure and no electricity from time to time for the first few days, but the property managers were the best!! They were extremely helpful and responded to our questions and concerns immediately. The cottage has everything you need to have a great vacation. We'll probably be back for another stay.

Centralized Location

This is our 4th stay at Orchid Cottage and we love the cottage and its location. It is in the center of the island which makes it easy to visit locations in the north and south. It's a short walk to the beach which we love. Groceries, gas and beverages are always close by as well as places to eat. The owners are very accommodating and want to be sure you have everything you need for a great stay. They also have wonderful property managers, Chad and Barry. They too want your stay to be the best. We recommend Orchid and Shangri-La to all our friends and can't wait for our 2018 vacation. Julie & Ric Strohecker Chesapeake, VA
