We had an excellent stay at One Palm Hill! Everything was as advertised and just a short drive to Twin Cove Beach. Beautiful view from the front porch looking out to the ocean. I highly recommend booking at One Palm Hill if you’re looking for a vacation rental in the Governors Harbour area.

Lovely stay at One Palm Hill

Beautiful house near a beautiful beach! Great location not far from Governor’s Harbour! Pleasantly surprised by the calming view of the ocean from the living room. We walked the beach road everyday and explored other beaches. Harbour island for the day and Queen’s bath. Dancing at the fish fry! Music night at Tippy’s and the Buccaneer! The house was perfect and Misty was so helpful! Perfect weather was great too:)

Beautiful property, perfect location!

My husband and I had an incredible stay at One Palm Hill. The property is beautiful, very private, and well appointed. We cooked dinner each night at the home and the kitchen had everything possible that we needed. One Palm Hill is perfectly located on the island, minutes from Governors Harbor, but in a quiet and private neighborhood. It felt like a home away from home and we would highly recommend to anyone! Booking was easy and communication with property manager and Misty, who met us on the first day, was flawless. Hope to come back again in the future!!

Perfect House

We recently stayed at One Palm Hill for a family vacation with our teenage daughters and their friends. To say the house was the perfect fit for 6 people is an understatement. The check-in process was ultra smooth, and imagine our surprise to find the house very well stocked with everything from towels to snorkel gear and pool floats. Even the kitchen had every sort of plate, pot, gadget, etc that we could ever use. And the house was very, very clean. The location was also perfect for us to explore the entire island. We visited so many of the beaches in both the north and south parts of the island. However, our favorite beach was the one you can walk to from the house - Twin Bay Beach. The house has plenty of chairs, coolers, and umbrellas for you to load in your car to take a picnic with you. When you return in the afternoons, the pool is a perfect place to finish up the day. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at One Palm Hill and plan on returning. Overall, it was probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed in.

Wonderful Week in Eleuthera and One Palm Hill

Having stayed in vacation rental properties from Kauai to Maui to Exuma-One Palm Hill is by far the best vacation rental property we have stayed in. The property (home and outdoor spaces) was very clean and very well maintained. The layout is perfect for family/ group socializing around the big kitchen island and in the open living/dining area. The kitchen was the very well-appointed with high quality cooking/ serving items and LOTS of spices-so no need to pack your own. The three bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, separate AC units, and ceiling fans and were comfortable and beautifully decorated. The most enjoyable area of the home are the outdoor spaces (see video) with the lovely pool and lush landscaped yards. It feels like a private oasis. Located centrally on the LONG island of Eleuthera and a quick 5-minute drive to Governors Harbour and many of the best restaurants on the island (Tippy's, 1648, Buccaneer Club, Bacchus), grocery, liquor stores, gas, and ATMs. It is also a great location for a morning walk to Twin Cove Beach and French Leave Beach- two of the prettiest on the island. Lastly, Kelly, Misty and Justin were so helpful in providing information and updates to make the reserving, stay, and check in process seamless. When (not if) we return to Eleuthera, we will return to One Palm Hill.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!!

A group of 5 long-time friends who vacation together yearly and have a lot of VRBO homes to compare!! This is by far the most amazing, beautiful, comfortable, and well stocked home we've ever started in!!!! The pool and outdoor spaces are wonderful and we couldn't think of anything that could have been done differently. Both Atlantic and Caribbean beaches are short drives as well as Governor's Harbour which has anything you could need our want. We already want to go back!!!

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

This property is located in the center of the island of Eleuthera. Governors Harbor is close and has all the necessities needed. We choose to take our kids on adventurous vacations where we don't sit still for long. The pool was perfect for morning and evening swims each day. The house was outfitted with all the necessities to may our stay more than comfortable. It seemed there was not one detail missed. Carol, the house manager, was amazing. She communicated regularly, and our kids were even excited to see her at the Fish Fry in Governors Harbor! Our only complaint is we wish we could have stayed longer!

All about the detail

This was our sixth trip to Eleuthera (third in Governor's Harbour) and One Palm Hill is unanimously our favourite house. It's always a lovely surprise when the house looks even better than the photos, it is beautifully decorated. But over and above that, every detail was thought about and we've never stayed in such a well equipped house, nor with such an abundance of towels. Communication with the owner and with the caretaker, Carol was really good and highly responsive. There was a problem with a cracked pipe which affected the water supply and a tradesmen was out within 30 mins and it was fixed within an hour or so. As for the location, it's not in central GH, but around a 5 minute drive, but the upside of this is that it is a brisk 10 minute walk to the beautiful Twin Cove beach and its abundance of sea life including resident rays. All in all we love this house and we love Governors' Harbour and recommend both, very highly.

Beautiful Home for a Quiet Getaway

The property is large and wonderful for those who want to spend most of their vacation at the home or those that want a wonderful home base to return to after a day of adventures. The crabs, frogs, and birds were a joy to see each day. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked. One of the best maintained and managed rental properties I have ever stayed in. Carol the house manager on the island was fantastic! She provided lots of advice and was able to connect us with golf cart rentals for our day trips - during our stay we decided to do day trips to Spanish Wells and Harbour Island which were each 45-60min drives away. However the drives were easy and the sightseeing enjoyable along the way. I recommend the property for those looking for something quiet away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas.

Relaxation in luxury!

One Palm Hill is outstanding!!!! So nicely layed out. We lived on the patio by the pool. Great location. Kitchen is very well equipped and all the beach chairs and coolers were greatly appreciated. The gardens surrounding the house are lovely. Superb time exploring the empty beaches and going home so relaxed after 12 days.

SURPRISE

It's been a tough decision to make as to whether we should write a review But we decided that future renters should be made aware First off the house itself was immaculate!!!! A/C was great kitchen had everything you needed The linens and towels were high quality But then came night fall According to the house manager the nocturnal noises are frogs on the property I've NEVER heard frogs make noises like this If you've ever heard an animal being attacked it's the sound these frogs made Ten seconds long every minute from sundown to sunup We had to abandon the master bedroom and use bedroom furthest from But even then u could hear them There are these two foot tall birds that like like to hang around pool area Pretty cool in the beginning but by end of stay POOL area is covered in bird droppings!!!! Could not use pool our finally day because we saw bird relieve itself in pool For the price of our stay 11days not worth the money

Perfect for a Couple's Getaway

This house is possibly the best HomeAway property I've rented! The house is EXACTLY like the pictures. They have thought of everything you need for a beach vacation and the house is decorated so well, too. My husband and I and two other couples had a fabulous time. The housekeeper was responsive to all our questions and management helped us find a reliable car rental person. Hire a chef for at least one night! The beaches are fantastic! We will be back!

this is a great property -- although early jan. in the Bahamas is quite cool & windy. we had 5 adults & 2 kids comfortably in this chic and comfy vacation home. (nanny in kids' rm w/ twin beds) views are beautiful & the home is spacious, airy & stocked with whatever you might need for the beach. lovely!!

Obviously new with top-notch maintenance. Simply a beautiful home in paradise.

Can't say enough about how nice the home is. The beds were very comfortable! They have air conditioning in all of the rooms. The furniture is new and contemporary, marble and wood flooring (wow), everything you need in the kitchen, layout of the home is perfect and a pool/bbq to end up the day. The shed is loaded with beach play toys. We loved Tippy's bar and grill and the beach there is great on a calm day. The Sunset Inn had a nice lunch. Many restaurants were closed during our visit (down season) but we would always find one hidden here or there. The Friday night Fish Fry in town was a fun experience. Take the trip to the beach at the Lighthouse, it is worth every wrong turn! Enjoy your ocean view at the end of the day.

My husband and I rented One Palm Hill for our 30th anniversary. It was our 3rd trip to Eleuthera. The house and all the details were so wonderful. The owner truly has made it feel like a home instead of a rental. The house is decorated beautifully and is extremely comfortable. We will definitely go back and take our children. The pool was an awesome thing to come home to after a day exploring and going to the beaches. The housekeeper, Carol, met us when we arrived and immediately made us feel welcome and answered any questions we had. She let us know she was only a phone call away. The location of the house is in Governors Harbour, and we really liked how central it was on the island since we have stayed in the southern and northern parts of Eleuthera. Locals are so friendly.....Friday night fish fry is a must. I just cannot say enough good things about One Palm Hill. We really enjoyed ourselves.
