Beautiful home on a beautiful island! This is our second trip to Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera and it does not disappoint. The Yellow House was perfect for our group. It is centrally located, has all the amenities we needed and helped make our trip even more enjoyable. I highly recommend!

The Yellow House

Great house, location and amenities. Very comfortable and back-up generator was greatly appreciated. Did not have golfcart for first few days, but a brand new cart was delivered for second half of our stay. A little miscommunication on the housekeeping service ( found out that you need to coordinate prior as service and dates are not pre-set). Overall, great home and great vacation. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at the Yellow House July 2023. The home is updated and comfortable for our group of 7 adults (3 couples and 1 individual). The golf cart is perfect for the ride down to the Leave Beach that is beautiful. Great getaway for some R&R.

Great Experience

We had a great experience staying at the Yellow House! Unfortunately, the golf cart was not working while we were there, but it was located close enough to the beach, grocery, and restaurants that we were able to walk. I cannot recommend this property more if you are looking for a family spot near a almost private beach! 10/10!

Friendly, responsive, we’ll appointed and perfect location

We have been coming to GH for years and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yellow House. Dominic and Joy were a pleasure to deal with and their knowledge and responsiveness were much appreciated. The house is clean, well furnished and well decorated. The electricity, satellite and wifi, which can be tricky in some houses were the best we have had in the Bahamas. The location is ideal and we would highly recommend staying at Yellow House. Thanks again for everything Dominic and Joy.

The Yellow House

The Yellow House is an excellent property centrally located in Governors Harbour near restaurants, shops, grocers, coffee shops, and beaches and is less than a one hour drive to the most distant island attractions. The house accommodated our family of 6 very well and included many small amenities that made our stay more enjoyable. Property Managers (Joy and Dominic) were great to work with and very accommodating.

All that we could have asked for...and more

The Yellow House is an amazing property, managed EXTREMELY well by Joy and Dominic and their team. It is spacious, luxurious, and has so many conveniences that made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. I would give this place (the Yellow House, Governor's Harbour, and Eleuthra Island) six stars (out of five) if I could.

A perfect family vacation spot

The Yellow House was the perfect "home base" for a family of 5...well-stocked kitchen, nice pool, washer/dryer, spacious bathrooms, and clean and comfortable beds. The golf cart was also a nice way to get to the beach. The nearby beach is a hidden gem - one of the best on the island in terms of beauty and relaxation. We also worked remotely and had no issues with Wi-Fi. Joy and Dom were extremely helpful and accommodating. Overall a wonderful experience that we will never forget!

I can't wait to come back

Had a fantastic stay at Yellow House. Dom and Joy were great hosts, checked us in quickly and showed us the ropes and were always around if we needed anything. The house was even more beautiful and spacious than in the pictures, and the location is perfect. Governor's Harbour is a great base on Eleuthera - about halfway down the island - and is close to restaurants and gas and groceries. We loved all the beaches we went to but French Leave - right down the road on the golf cart - was our favorite. The house came with umbrellas, chairs, coolers - everything we needed for a great beach week. Fully stocked kitchen, good wifi, great AC - really the perfect place to relax with friends for the week. The pool is great too! Can't say enough good things about Joy and Dom and the house, and about Eleuthera in general - warm people, gorgeous and empty beaches - the perfect house for the perfect vacation. Can't wait to return someday soon!

Island Living at It’s Best

Family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Best town with the best beach! Golf cart for the beach and over to the Marriott was terrific. Stylish and comfy. Outdoor entertaining space in the evenings with the string lights made for nice ambiance. Generator came in very handy. Property managers Joy and Dom are lovely and responsive

Wonderful House in Eleuthera

We just arrived home from a wonderful week's stay at the Yellow House. Cathy was a great host with great recommendations and homemade lasagna and wine to welcome us on our first night. The house perfectly suited our group which consisted of four couples with an en suite bathroom in each spacious bedroom. We greatly enjoyed eating breakfast out by the pool in the morning and dining in the beautifully decorated great room in the evenings. The kitchen was one of the most well-equipped kitchens we have encountered in years of renting vacation homes. The laundry hut was a great extra along with the outdoor shower. We made great use of the beach chairs, floats, and umbrellas on our many visits to French Leave Beach which was a short walk or quick drive from the house. We were also able to walk into town. Recommendations: visit Fish Fry on Friday night for rum bubbas, conch salad, and fried fish; go on a charter with Manex and Ton of Coco Loba tours to catch your own fish and lobsters for dinner; enjoy conch fritters at the Buccaneer Club; have a beer seaside at Tippy's; take a trip to Rock Sound grocery store for all of your provisions; grab lunch at Banks Road Deli; get fresh bread and cinnamon buns at Island Farm on Tuesdays and Fridays (get there early!). This was a wonderful trip made that way by our great vacation home!

fantastic stay!

What a trip! 4 families, 17 people in total, rented three properties within the Governors Estates (Yellow House, Sweet Corn and Peach House). Everything was wonderful: the houses were spotless, well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The whole process was easy, from renting the properties through Matt Simon, to meeting Kathy, the owner, who was so sweet to make lasagna for us the first day (and she had cold beers in the fridge too!) and who was there with any question or small issues that came up! For example, the gas grill outside was not working, next thing you know, a brand new BBQ is being delivered to the house! All over, we can only recommend these properties. We will for sure be back!!
