Good clean motel. Very basic building in an industrial type area. Near to Train station (couldn’t hear any trains). I would stay here again if I were passing through Goulburn for sure. It was value for money. I paid 10 dollars more and got a pretty bad room at another hotel the previous week.

Clean room close to Bp which came in handy for late night snacks. Quiet and comfortable bed a short 5 min drive from the main town would stay again.

I was a loyal customer of Carlton Suites, but no more. I reserved a Deluxe Twin Room but was furnished with an upstairs room with two single beds. When I arrived, the motel was overrun by multiple Indian families, whose children were running all over the motel, doors left ajar. I arrived at 5pm and was inundated with the noise of children yelling out in the corridor and adults conversing loudly in the corridor. They made a rowdy exit the next morning also. I had to complain TWICE to reception about the noise. Next time, I will not even stop in Goulburn. These motels no longer maintain customer service standards. Imagine leaving your lovely, quiet country house, drive for hours and stay in a circus like this.

Not much from the outside but fairly new inside. Comfortable beds. Toaster, kettle, microwave & plenty of tableware. 2 minutes walk to the main street for restaurants & shopping.

To start with we couln't find anyone in the very messy reception area. We waited, called out and eventually honked the car horn! The bloke was dishevelled and not very polite or helpful. We were very hesitant at first as the area seemed unfinished and dodgy. We had to climb stairs (wasn't stated in the add) to our room where we were pleasantly surprised. The room was ok. The hallway was noisy and doors continually slammed (that's if they closed).

The rooms have been recently renovated but outside needs a lot of TLC. parking is limited but there is plenty on the the street.

The property appeared clean and recently renovated. Beds were comfortable. On closer inspection there was hair over the tiles in the basin area and in and around the shower which indicates the lack of cleaning.

It is a very old property and looks somewhat run down from the outside. The interiors were very clean and maintained. We had a family room which was also a disabled room. The double bed was very small. The room had very limited ventilation and became really hot from breathing etc. We had to run the aircon even though it was cold. Aircon worked well. But we didn't really want to run it. We had a really bad sleep tbh. Bed was so small for 2. Mattress very soft. Very old and dated.

I was threatened with violence by the male receptionist or manager not sure what he was . He looked as though he had just come out of jail . Beard t shirt and flipflops very unprofessional . Threatened to break my car window. Never come anything like this ever and I do travel a lot.Please inform owners .

I read the reviews and thought of cancelling but I didn't and when I got there and seen the outside I wished I had. But the young man at reception was great and when I got to the room I was just surprised that it was so good. Everything was new and spotless. For the price is was great value, I would recommend highly.

Price is quite budget. Bed was comfy but bathroom facilities was similar in size to a caravan. Noise travels from the outside hall with constant door slamming all night. It’s in a great location to the Main Street and 2 good clubs for dinner but if you can afford a bit more it might be worth looking around. If not it’s great on a budget.

Very helpful manager, who advised that the nearest pub had an excellent steak special that evening. It did and it was. Room clean and well equipped, large bathroom, and clearly allowing for disabled access - which was good to see. Unfortunately, wifi was a problem on this particular day.
