Family time on the river

The home was home was well kept. Plenty of large space to gather and for alone time. The only down fall to this place is that the county only allows for 6 person total. So you forced to choose who comes with and who has to stay home. On another plus side it had not perfect but great vehicle access if you have a truck down to river. Save us from having to walk up and down hill. And carrying stuff up and down

More than i expected

Property is very spacious with plenty of room for my adult family of eight. All aspects of the property was clean. I most enjoyed access to the river with comfortable chairs with to chill in a peaceful environment.

Unforgettable River trip

This is our second year staying in the house and we love it. It’s a beautiful location and fully stocked. The house is bigger than it appears in the photos. Look forward to staying here again and the future.

Lovely riverfront home

Very nice house. I woukd recommend staying here. The downside is the nearly all locked and the dressers are full of the owners clothes. So dont bring tons of clothes here. This is clearly a family home and is full of personal belongings. Not an isdue for us but it is for dome

Amazing house for large group

Perfect house for our annual reunion on the South Fork. It was so easy to fix meals, play games and watch the world series! The parking was plentiful and the views from the deck were beautiful!! We loved it!

Location, location, location!

Access to the American River or just sit on the deck and listen to the upstream rapids, geese flying in or watch and listen to the rafters as they have great fun rafting the river. Wonderful amenities and just minutes to Coloma and Placerville to delve into gold rush history.

Loved it

We (grandpa, grandma, daughters (2), sonsinlaw (2), 3 yr old grandsons (2)) stayed here in mid December. The property is gorgeous with extensive riverfront and is well developed throughout. We were attending an annual family event and will definitely stay here next year.

Nice place!

Property was as described, spacious and clean. Easy to get down to the river from the house. A few close by beaches if you want easier access. 1 mile out from pizza, tacos and amazing pastries. Was a great little weekend away!

Wonderful visit

We had an incredible time at a wonderful property. The house is spacious and nice, the property is gorgeous, and you are right on the river. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies. Everything was perfect, highly recommend.

Fabulous place!

This is a beautiful home in a wonderful location. We stayed there for my daughter’s wedding and it was perfect location. The host was wonderful and was very great in her communication with me. I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect house above the river

Great house and location. The kitchen was the most equipped we have ever seen. Living spaces were huge, master bedroom was isolated away from the living area and very quiet. In the morning we could open all the windows and sliding glass doors to the deck which was a perfect place to drink coffee, watch the deer, and enjoy the view.

A Hideaway Gem

We booked this property to be near the wedding venue at Bayley's Barn in Pilot Hill. It was everything it promised to be. We lingered on the veranda in the mornings with coffee and in the evenings with Prosecco. The only unfortunate part was that the roll down shades were broken and we had to hand wash all the dishes, cutlery, and glassware before using. Otherwise everything was great!

This is a lovely home and mostly very clean. Our big issue was the oven and stove. We couldn’t use the oven because it smoked so badly…we ultimately figured out the cleaning cycle and cleaned it ourselves. The stove top was quite greasy and required cleaning before we used it. The host was very pleasant, but difficult to get hold of and did not help resolve the cleaning issues.

This house is AMAZING!

We stayed here with friends that we hadn’t seen since before COVID, and this house was the PERFECT setting for our reunion! The house has everything you could possibly need - to say the kitchen is fully stocked is an understatement. The rooms are cozy, there is plenty of room to spread out and visit, the deck so super spacious snd has beautiful views and the river area was fantastic! Serene and private. We loved it, can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Property

This was an amazing rental that met all our needs. Definitely spacious for 8 people. Beautiful home and beautiful scenery. We fully enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the river. The kitchen was well stock with cookware and spices and condiments. We love items that are left behind for the next guests and not thrown out. This was an A+ experience and I would highly recommend.

Granddaughter’s Wedding Nearby

Wonderful property. Location was easy to access with many places to visit nearby. Perfect spot to escape to enjoy special family time. For us it was less than a 15 minute drive to participate in all family events with easy drive which was important since we were not familiar with the area.

Utter bliss

Fantastic location for nature lovers. Fox, deer (fawns, bucks, does), quail, songbirds all in abundance and not at all shy. We found activites for all ages and inclinations, including botanical gardens, fine dining (in Placerville), an abundance of historical sites and museums, river rafting and miles of hiking trails, many of which are also good for running and biking. The house was spacious and the kitchen well-equipped for gourmet cooks. Wide choice of books to browse, and board games and puzzles, for when the weather invites you to stay indoors. Highly recommend this unique spot!
