Cute cottage stay

Mariners cutie
We had a lovely stay in this cute wee cottage, every convenience was available for our use. It is situated in a very handy location, within a nice easy stroll to town. The garden was peaceful and pretty to sit in. We would happuly stay again

Central Location
A cute little cottage in the heart of Goolwa, the garden is amazing, so peaceful and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We had a problem with the T.V. on Easter Friday and we rang the owners, who then turned up at 6pm that night with a replacement. (They had come from Adelaide) Thank you again.

Comfortable stay in a gorgeous cottage
Mariner's cottage is comfy and well appointed. It's walking distance to the Sunday Goolwa markets and the main street for cafes and dinner. Our 7 year old really appreciated all the toys in the third bedroom. The coffee machine came in handy and the air fryer would be great for a longer visit. We'd happily come back.

Cute and Cosy
The cottage was extremely comfortable with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. It was spotlessly clean and a lot of thought had gone into making it a home away from home. Walking distance to the main street with great shops and eateries. Lots to see and do on the door step. Would definitely use this delightful cottage again. Doug and Laree PS Need some new darts but we had a laugh

Absolute gem, so warm and inviting and comfortable, perfect.
The beds were warm and comfortable. The kitchen, bathroom and lounge were comfy, clean, and the owners left us a little welcome gift which was so thoughtful. They communicated well with us and we thought the property and our whole experience was perfect. So thankful to have stayed there, would definitely book again.

Beautiful Goolwa house
We enjoyed staying at the Mariner's Cottage. The house has lots of old character, but has been nicely renovated and styled beautifully. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed the spacious backyard, boogie boards, table tennis, outdoor shower and comfy beds. It's on a nice quiet street, while only a quick walk to the cafes and restaurants of Goolwa, and a short drive to the beach.

An absolute delight!
An absolutely delightful cottage with everything we could possibly need. Lovely garden with room for 2 boys to kick a footy, play table tennis and just chill! Everything close and loved that boogie boards were supplied! Thank you for a fabulous stay!! Highly recommend !

Family getaway
An excellent historic cottage filled with history. Had all the creature comforts one would want for a relaxing holiday. Walking distance to the main street and historic riverside wharf area. My elderly mother appreciated the interior decor and memorabilia that reminded her of her early years. One suggestion for improvement would be to install a wall hand grip (rail) in the shower alcove for people who are mobility impaired or unsteady standing.

Exceptional
What a privilege to stay in such a beautiful historic property. The beds were comfortable and the house well kitted out with furnishings and objects to make us feel like we're staying in a home. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of cookware, the bathroom is lovely and we spent many hours enjoying the lush rear garden, and shared many meals in the seating area there. The location in Goolwa is perfect with everything within walking distance. there are good eateries in Goolwa, and it's a lovely town to wander, with several historic walking trails. Highly recommended.

A wonderful stay
This little cottage is a gem. Beautifully maintained and with gorgeous styling, this house felt like home from the moment we walked through the blue door. The beds were comfy, the heating great for a wintery weekend and the shower divine. The cottage is in a great location, surrounded by other similar historical homes and buildings and has a lovely rear garden. We were looking for a home to stay in that had character and this little cottage ticked all the boxes. The only problem was that we had to leave. I think I could quite happily live there forever. Thank you Jim and Catherine for sharing your home.

Goolwa Visit
Property surpassed expectations. Lovely sandstone cottage with modern conveniences. Enclosed yard with grass and shade for our dog. Nice outdoor area for a bbq. Excellent kitchen which produced far superior coffee to what was available at coffee shops. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was modern. Sitting room is small but another room has tv if you have kids. Close, really close to Main Street, wharf, pubs and cafes. Also excellent access to walk the foreshore.

Perfect comfortable cottage in the heart of Goolwa
Thank you for providing the perfect blend of seaside character and modern conveniences at the mariners cottage. We so appreciated all of the amenities that made our stay comfortable including the dog friendly backyard. The modern bathroom is just as pictured with great shower water pressure and the bed was super comfy. Loved the gas fireplace and hope to visit again in the future - after already recommending the mariners cottage to friends and family we hope to find availability again!

3 night stay in Goolwa Mariner's Cottage - 1 couple - Nov 2019
We enjoyed our stay in this well set up historical cottage with an enclosed rear garden. A very well situated property, so convenient to explore Goolwa and its surrounds. On a quiet one-way street but so close to the town centre that it was an easy quick walk to the shops and wharf district. Bed was comfortable, water pressure was great. Full kitchen had fridge, dishwasher and a variety of tea, coffee and condiments available for use if you wished. A couple of minor points - a small milk for a hot drink on arrival would have been appreciated and while we did not use the dishwasher we did open it and consider it may need to be 'aired' . We were pleased with our choice of accommodation and would happily return.

Perfect perfect perfect
Arrived at Mariners cottage and perfect was our thoughts quaint ,full of history (even mentioned on" Walks of Goolwa" as a house listed to walk pass as you do the 3rd walk taking in "Little Scotland"of Goolwa . The cottage was perfect for the three of us, being dog friendly the enclosed yard was great and the lovely undercover patio allowed for breakfast in the garden two out of three mornings .The location meant the car was not used much as we could stroll to shops ,eateries and the historical sights .Shower was great lovely and hot, linen of high standard and bed very comfy after day out and about. Would certainly highly recommend and if allowed will be back even without the dogs Thank you Jim and Catherine for opening up this gorgeous cottage to us Regards Susan, Les and dogs ,Bonnie and Mac

LOVED IT!
This place is absolutely perfect in winter and was so well kept and homely. Heating was great as well as the shower which is two big ticks to me! Such a charmer, so much character and very cosy on one of the coldest days!!! The only criticism is that out of 7 home stays whilst on a road trip we had to bring our own linen or pay extra extra of the privilege. Clancy and Banjo loved the secure yard.

Beautiful little cottage in a great location
We had a great time in the Mariners cottage. Small and cosy which was perfect for a cold long weekend away. Great facilities with new kitchen and bathroom but still had its warm cottage charm. Pet friendly which was a bonus and lots of baby/kids accessories (high chair, cutlery) was fantastic. The location is also perfect. Thanks so much for having us, we’ll definitely be back 😊

Perfect place just off the Town Centre. Easy access to main highway for Maclaren Vale . Lovely beach & coastal walks , Steam Railway to Victor Harbour & Granite Island. Good facilities in the cottage . Aqua Cafe and Mother Duck for good meals & coffee

Cosy cottage and perfect location!
My family and dog were very comfortable. We loved the central location. The gas log fire was superb and shower was great. Walks with the dog to the oval and lake nearby were fantastic. Goolwa markets were a 5 min walk away as was lots of nice eateries.

A cute historic cottage in a great location
The three of us spent a very enjoyable girls weekend away in Goolwa. Cottage had everything we needed in a wonderful location. Parking is on the street but this was no issue during our stay. As we stayed during winter we did make good use of the very cosy gas fire for a few hours in the evening to the point we ran out of gas which impacted the hot water supply. Just a small thing but something to be mindful of should you be staying in winter. Cottage was easy to find and our hosts were quick to respond to any questions. We would certainly consider using the cottage again when next planning a trip to Goolwa.

Home away from home
Mariners cottage was comfortable and welcoming. Lots of little extras that made our stay relaxing and pleasant. Quiet, although only a short distance from the main street and wharf. Great for our beautiful dog, Chloe. Thank you Jim and Catherine. We plan to be back.
