We arrived to the rental and found many of the towels smelly and unusable. We tried to wash them and found the washing machine was broken. We asked the host for assistance, and he did not respond for 8 hours. Finally, he wrote that we should look for an owners manual online and attempt to fix it ourselves.When we attempted to use the hot tub, we found it extremely low on water - below the jets. Again, when we reached out to the host for assistance, his response was that we should deal with the issue ourselves by calling the hot tub company. We called the next morning and the company sent someone to fix the spa at the end of the day. We were unable to use the spa for the first 2 days of our rental period. We do not feel that this is an issue that we should have had to work to remedy ourselves. We also chose the property in part based on this amenity and feel we were not offered what was promised. Because we were unable to use the spa for 2 nights, we asked for a partial refund and never heard back from the host on this request. We feel strongly that the service provided to us was unacceptable by VRBO standards. The host asked us to remedy issues ourselves and never checked in to see if we were satisfied. Despite terrible service from the host, we found the house and location suitable. We appreciated the kitchen being well-stocked with utensils and appliances for cooking for a group. With better service, our rating would be higher.

Wonderful Family Gathering/Vacation!

We had an amazing family vacation! Ages 3-91 and not a single complaint from any of us. The property was as advertised - clean, spacious and perfect for our group. Very refreshing to come to a place where the kitchen is so well equipped to cook for 12 without issue. Bathrooms clean and well stocked, beds were comfortable and property spacious enough to find a quiet corner or gather as a group. Short walk to park with the kids and short enough drives to other local attractions to keep us all busy.Excellent communication with hosts. If we meet again in Golden wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Our group of 13 had an amazing stay! The location was quick to the ski hill. The house was stocked with all kitchen necessities. Linens were fresh and comfortable. The layout of the house worked great as the “teens” took over the basement. Would recommend this location 100%!

Lovely Mountain Side Retreat

The home is very spacious and well maintained. The owner has thought through many details and has abundantly equipped the house. All of the beds and furniture were comfortable and clean. The media room and smart functions throughout the house were impressive and easy to use, even for the older generations in our group. The owner was always responsive to our pre-stay communications. we had zero issues during our stay. It's a very lovely home. We would definitely stay in the home again.

amazing home near the gondola

this was the perfect place for our friends to stay for a wedding at Eagles Nest. It was close to the gondola and had all the amenities of home. The kitchen was fantastic, the hot tub was relaxing and the surroundings were beautiful. We will be back!

Fantastic experience

Nothing but praise for this property, property manager and owners! gorgeous home that is very well taken care of, instruction binder that is a little intimidating but has everything you need to know (except maybe the route to the ski in) and very responsive manager. We were three families with teenagers and this property was top drawer! Great memories were made.

Perfect Kicking Horse ski vacation!

Beautiful, clean, modern, CONVENIENT! Pretty much ski in/ ski out. Great views of the mountain. HOT, well maintained jacuzzi. And, to top it off, we had the best host I've experienced with VRBO/Airbnb. The first week of our vacation was spent in Revelstoke. On our way from Calgary to Revelstoke, we were stopped in Golden due to a highway closure on Roger's pass (avalanche mitigation). It was late and all of the hotels were booked. I called Gabe and asked if the Aurora House was booked that night. It was but he quickly went to work to find us a place to sleep for the night. He went above and beyond. The next time we come to Kicking Horse, we will DEFINITELY book the Aurora House!!

Clean, organized and responsive management.

The place was a wonderful treat. We were fortunate enough to get a lot of snow. The management did a great job ensuring that we could all get out of the drive way safely. He got a snow removal company to come right away when we got stuck. It’s a lovely vacation rental and very modern.
