Fantastic Ski Chalet for Group Trips

We had a terrific stay at the chalet. The kitchen is well suited to cooking and dining with groups. The fireplace provides the perfect apres hangout spot. Would stay again.

Fantastic place. Maximum flexibility with bed arrangements to accommodate men’s ski trip. Easy ski out. Short Walt to ski in. Hot tub very clean. BBQ new and even burning heat. Bed mattresses in places some guys did not like because they were a bit soft and lumpy but each had their preference. Kitchen and common spaces very roomy and accommodating to large group. Would stay here again.

Great for a group, but dishwasher didn't work

The place was terrific for a group of 10 adults. Gabriel had it set up so everyone could have their own bed. Hot tub and BBQ are a nice bonus as was lots of parking. We came back to the cabin everyday for lunch via a ski in route and then it's a 250 m walk up the road to get back to a trail which takes you to the base. Only issue we had was when we arrived, there was a note on the dishwasher saying it wasn't working. Not sure why I needed to tell the property manager this because it obviously hadn't worked for the last people either. I contacted Gabriel and he promptly came by to install another one...unfortunately it leaked and also didn't work. We were 10 adults eating 3 meals a day there...having a dishwasher is key. He refunded us a tiny token amount of money...I would have expected more given how much we were paying/night and I told him as much but he never responded. Other than that, place had everything we needed.

Awesome home. Everything described is exactly what we experienced. Beds are comfortable, kitchen has everything you need, great room was the best; just overall a beautiful place. We enjoyed the 'real' fireplace and appreciated the wood stocked. The hot tub was wonderful to have and we used it daily. Can not say enough about this property, it was perfect. Thanks Gabe.

Amazing Kicking Horse Ski-in Cottage

Gabriel’s cottage was absolutely perfect for our group of 6. Everything in the house was extremely organized, and all of the rooms were immaculate. The kitchen was stocked with all of the essentials, and the heated floors made for a very comfortable after-ski experience. It was a great feeling to ski back home, put our gloves/boots onto the air dryer, take a quick shower, and then jump into the very spacious hot tub. I wouldn’t hesitate to return here next year for our annual ski trip!

All Good

We spent a few days here before moving on to Banff, and the property suited our needs well. It's about 15 minutes into town, and is centrally located to a lot of good hiking and national parks. There's plenty of space in the house, and multiple areas in which to congregate. The house is as appears in the photos and the description was accurate. Be prepared to prove to the host that you're not going to throw a frat party in the house, though his concern is not without warrant as the house seems new and is in good shape. We did not have (or need) any contact or interruptions from the host during our stay. My only gripe, if I were to have one, is that I believe the checklist to launch the space shuttle is shorter than the instructions for watching TV in this house. Then again, we weren't really there to watch TV, so it wasn't that big of a deal. I would definitely consider staying here again if I were to find myself back in Golden.

Great house located at Kicking Horse.

Well equipped house/kitchen, everything you need to enjoy your stay. Very comfortable, lots of room, beatiful bathrooms, great hot tub and bbq. My only complaint is the coffee maker was on the fritz. Gabe to manager was great to deal with and easy to contact directly.

Awesome place!

Very beautiful place. Has everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. Extra pillows and Blankets if needed! Very clean. Asked for a late check out and it was no problem! Would recommend this place and would come again!

Cozy home

The house was a good size in a beautiful location. We found the TV unnecessarily complicated and the internet wasn't consistent enough to watch Netflix(these were really only issues for the children) The adults really enjoyed sitting around the amazing fireplace every evening. The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals.

Gorgeous, Modern, Luxurious Mountainside Home. Exceeded Our Expectations

Can't say enough about this beautiful large house at Kicking Horse. Beautiful, modern, almost new, luxurious timber frame home. We were two newly-retired couples and stayed in mid October. Of course the mountain was quiet being between seasons, which is just what we wanted. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains on crisp autumn days, great for walks during the day and enjoying the large high-end hot tub at night. We were lucky enough to get a few inches of snow on our last day which made everything even better. Lots of firewood provided in the garage and we spent four wonderful relaxing evenings around the fireplace. Kitchen is very well equipped. Beds are super comfortable and bedding is high quality. House is equipped with top notch TV's, sound system and related equipment but we never used any of it, preferring the peace and quiet. Gabe the property manager was excellent to deal with, responding quickly each time I communicated with him. We've stayed in many VRBO and AirBnB properties, but we've never been provided such a detailed and well written information package about the property as the one Gabe provided, complete with photos. Very helpful. Wish all properties provided one so thorough. It was great to be able to park both vehicles in the large garage and to be able to unload and load our stuff directly into the mudroom off the garage. Looking forward returning.

Pleasant stay at Golden!

We were at the Golden property July 24-July26 over the weekend. Overall it was a very pleasant stay with quick responses by the owner to our every query. The overall upkeep and décor of the house was impressive. I would certainly recommend it to others.

Perfect for multi family stay

This is a beautiful house with a set up that works well for a couple families to stay on the hill together. The kitchen is well stocked and there was ample space for everyone. Checking in and out was a smooth process too.

Amazing property

Great place to stay at Kicking Horse. September mountain bike trip for 10 adults, lots of room, individual beds for everyone and great common areas. Communication with Gabriel was prompt and professional.
