"We stayed in the cottage for 2 weeks in July 2025 and had a very comfortable holiday, partly exploring and walking the different spots across the peninsula, on southern Skye and in Kintail and partly sat just watching the world (and the dolphins) go by from the super sun room. "This is not just a place with a bed and a bath, but was an experience. It starts with the peaceful setting that is a bit off the beaten path. Next are all the bright interior colors that have been used throughout. "This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy.
