We just wanted to get out of the city for a few days, and this was the perfect spot. The pictures on the listing don’t do the actual views from the property justice. We spent more time just hanging out on the property than we had originally planned because it was so great. Location was great as well. The state park is about a 6 minute drive away, but because the river level made one of the roads impassable, we had to go all the was around, but it was still only about a 15 minute detour. House was clean and well stocked. Host communication was excellent and hospitable. Thanks for a great weekend!

This cabin is located in a sonewhat remote location, on top of a hill, with great views. If you like an out of the way quiet place to escape, unwind, abd get away from it all, this is it. The cabin is well furnished, clean, and the owners are helpful and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Great place to stay when visiting Glen Rose. The cabin had all the necessary amenities including dishes and cookware. There is a gas and charcoal grill. The cabin was spacious and well maintained. Outside had a couple of sitting areas to enjoy the view. One area had a fire pit and a hammock. It is located just a little over 7 miles from downtown Glen Rose and close to the area attractions. It was a great place to seek peace and solitude after a day of sight seeing.

We recently stayed at Opossum Branch Cabin and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The cabin's private and secluded location provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. We were particularly impressed with the stunning sunset views we enjoyed while grilling dinner on the deck – a truly memorable experience. The cabin itself was well-equipped with all the amenities one could need, making our stay comfortable and convenient. From the cozy interiors to the fully stocked kitchen, everything was thoughtfully prepared to ensure guests have a great time. Communication with Stephen was a breeze. He was responsive and helpful, ensuring all our questions were answered promptly. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful views and top-notch amenities, Opossum Branch Cabin is the place to be. We can't wait to return!

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cabin. The home was very clean and comfortable. The kids loved playing uno and all the different spots to sit & look at the view. It’s a quiet property. We spotted a Jack rabbit too. We will 100% be back the next time we are in Glen Rose. 10 out of 10 recommend.

We had a wonderful time. The eclipse which happened to fall on my birthday…was (the only word I could think of) THRILLING. Steve was very responsive and respectful. The way it was presented online was accurate. The views from the cabin are wonderful. We were not able to use the outdoor items because of the rain. However the supplies provided to us inside were more than we needed. The host Steve Lynch was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this house.

Our family spent part of spring break in the Opossum Cabin. We have enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer. There are nice views from the property - especially beautiful sunsets. Cabin is nicely equipped with everything necessary and it is just a short drive to Glen Rose. We hope to return sometime in the future.

This property was the PERFECT spot for our family getaway! We loved romping around the property with the kids. We saw lots of wildlife and beautiful flowers. Best of all, the views were priceless!!! What can I say, a real gem if one really wants to get away from the big city. Upon arrival property is well kept, inside of the cabin was immaculate. Property is perfect size, kept my daughter entertained the entire time we were there. The scenery was beautiful any way you turned. In communicating with Steve we always felt like he would be there in a moments notice if anything was a miss. Can't wait to get back, Thanks Steve.

Had to leave early because my elderly mother fell while on an outing and tore ligaments in her knee. Our host was very understanding and nice. We truly hated to leave. The place was well equipped and very clean. The location was beautiful. Many thanks to our host.

Unbelievable that this property is just 90 minutes from the metroplex. Great views from multiple sides. You can just enjoy walking the property itself or go to nearby dinosaur attractions or into town to eat. House has everything you need, and Stephen (the owner) was great. Quick and easy.
