Wonderful relaxing long weekend at Opossum Branch cabin - the cabin and grounds were even better than expected. The hosts have clearly put a lot of effort into all the amenities - there are so many cute, thoughtful details. The cabin is very clean and comfortable, and there is enough to do in the area to entertain, though we were just as content to hang out and at the cabin and read, relax, cook, grill, take walks, and play games. Thanks for the great visit!

the house was exactly as pictured and described. view from the front porch, back door deck and fire pit each scenic and relaxing. we were treated to an unexpected fireworks display over Chalk Mountain. Lone Star Fireworks and music on the Stacey Ranch.Host was very responsive to our one question.We were distant from noise, hustle & bustle, but Glen Rose and all its amenities were a short drive away. thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this spot highly.thank you for sharing your great top of the hill home!!

The home was comfortable and cozy. Kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking in it and on the grill. The deer feeder was wonderful. There were 2 bucks and 2 doe that visited every morning and evening. We also saw several rabbits, squirrels and a road runner. The outside spaces were well thought out with views that were absolutely beautiful. The fire pit overlooked the valley below and the sunsets were stunning. We will return to stay again. It was convenient to Dinosaur Valley State Park and to downtown. You can see the park on a clear day from the back of the property. The Creation Evidence Museum and Dino World are right outside the park and worth the time. Relaxing and quiet are the best description for this lovely property.

Amazing Views

We just wanted to get out of the city for a few days, and this was the perfect spot. The pictures on the listing don’t do the actual views from the property justice. We spent more time just hanging out on the property than we had originally planned because it was so great. Location was great as well. The state park is about a 6 minute drive away, but because the river level made one of the roads impassable, we had to go all the was around, but it was still only about a 15 minute detour. House was clean and well stocked. Host communication was excellent and hospitable. Thanks for a great weekend!

Great place to stay

This cabin is located in a sonewhat remote location, on top of a hill, with great views. If you like an out of the way quiet place to escape, unwind, abd get away from it all, this is it. The cabin is well furnished, clean, and the owners are helpful and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Secluded cabin with a great view

Great place to stay when visiting Glen Rose. The cabin had all the necessary amenities including dishes and cookware. There is a gas and charcoal grill. The cabin was spacious and well maintained. Outside had a couple of sitting areas to enjoy the view. One area had a fire pit and a hammock. It is located just a little over 7 miles from downtown Glen Rose and close to the area attractions. It was a great place to seek peace and solitude after a day of sight seeing.

Perfect Getaway at Opossum Branch Cabin

We recently stayed at Opossum Branch Cabin and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The cabin's private and secluded location provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. We were particularly impressed with the stunning sunset views we enjoyed while grilling dinner on the deck – a truly memorable experience. The cabin itself was well-equipped with all the amenities one could need, making our stay comfortable and convenient. From the cozy interiors to the fully stocked kitchen, everything was thoughtfully prepared to ensure guests have a great time. Communication with Stephen was a breeze. He was responsive and helpful, ensuring all our questions were answered promptly. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay. We enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cabin. The home was very clean and comfortable. The kids loved playing uno and all the different spots to sit & look at the view. It’s a quiet property. We spotted a Jack rabbit too. We will 100% be back the next time we are in Glen Rose. 10 out of 10 recommend.

The way it was presented online was accurate. The views from the cabin are wonderful. We were not able to use the outdoor items because of the rain. However the supplies provided to us inside were more than we needed. The host Steve Lynch was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this house.

Beautiful cabin on the hill with great views

Our family spent part of spring break in the Opossum Cabin. We have enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer. There are nice views from the property - especially beautiful sunsets. Cabin is nicely equipped with everything necessary and it is just a short drive to Glen Rose. We hope to return sometime in the future.

We had another wonderful experience… the landscape and quiet make for a restful relaxing experience. The cabin is roomy and comfortable and only a short drive into Glen Rose. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Amazing Restful Retreat

Property was as listed. Host was friendly and very helpful. The Cabin is roomy and comfortable but the views, quiet and fresh air were some of the best parts. We will definitely be repeat visitors.
