Absolutely perfect
Just what we needed a perfect chill. Accommodation has everything you need and exceeded our expectations. A perfect beachfront location including fantastic seating to watch the sunrise. The hosts accommodated our requests. Definitely stay again

Very clean and well set up studio apartment. Private, quiet, lovely linen and towels & a wonderful view of the waves within a stones throw. Spacious bathroom with an excellent shower. Slept like a log & enjoyed walks on the beach watching the sunrise. Better than Waikiki!

Relaxing getaway
We had a perfect stay at Carnie and Ivan's place. The house is ideally located right on the beach and has everything you need. The studio is located under the main house yet is very private and has spectacular views of the ocean. We were there for eight nights and felt right at home. The bed is comfortable, with loads of pillow choices and a well-stocked kitchenette. My husband enjoyed Ivan's local knowledge and they both went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommended.

The Best
Studio unit under hosts house. Views and positioned right on beach. Bathroom beautiful with plenty of products, towels and beach towels. Kitchen again with everything required to cook with. Comfy bedding, plenty of pillows. Bean bags and BBQ available. Outdoor shower to wash off sand and salt. Hosts welcoming and fun. Highly recommend for a couples stay.

Shngr-la on Wainue Beach
Carnie and Ivan have created magic in the their ground-floor ocean-view suite under their beautiful home. We lived inside that magic for six nights and this hideway was the threshold for the magic waiting outside, through the trees, to the beach and beyond. I cannot over state what a couple's haven this is!

Unit was immaculate, had everything we needed with relevant information clearly presented. Great to be able to enjoy the sea from the outside platform as well as easy beach access. A brief visit from a kereru was a lovely bonus

Wonderful place for a couple to stay - right on a beautiful long beach with easy access to town. Carnie and Ivan are friendly and welcoming hosts and the studio is totally private, with every home comfort.

Pictures don’t do justice
We visited Gisborne for the activities but the stay has been the major highlight. Weather was super friendly and we got to witness two majestic sunrises from the perfect adjoining Wainui beach. Those were super friendly and had great recommendations. Will definitely be our choice for staying if available next time we visit Gisborne.

Fab beachfront hideaway
Brilliant to be able to lie in bed and watch the sun rise over the sea! However there is no blackout curtains meaning at dawn the room is flooded with light and there are 5 separate electronic devices with on lights that light up the room all night, but that's just a personal irritation. Excellent access to the beach via steps, cycleway all the way into town😍

Exceptional Beachfront Accomodation
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Accomodation was outstanding. Bed extremely comfortable and kitchen well kitted out. Plush towels and quality bedding Beautiful looking out at the breaking waves. Exceptional hosts who both made us feel very welcome and who we thoroughly enjoyed conversing with. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed hosting Fay and Dan. The unit was left spotless with all linen neatly folded and bed pulled up. You couldn't ask for better guests and we totally endorse and recommend them as renters.

loved every minute of our stay! beautiful litttle studio right outside th beach - beach is beautiful as well! Bed is SUPER comfortable & being able to hear th waves from inside was buzzy! loved th scenery, th experience & everything else. Thank you to Ivan who greeted us & made us feel welcome despite it being near 11:30pm! very appreciative! wpuld definitely come back!!!
