Our stay was quiet and peaceful. We had sunny weather, but even on a cold or rainy day, this is the perfect place to curl up and enjoy the ocean panorama from the window. Loved it!

Quiet neighbourhood, looking out onto Gillies Bay as the waves roll in and out. Peace, tranquility and a well stocked cabin with lots of wonderful coffee, spices, TP, kleenex, shampoo and conditioner. No skimping. Just relaxing.We've been to places where you had to go shopping on day 3 for basics. Not here. Perfect. Would highly recommend. And the community is out of this world friendly. Everyone driving past you waves to you. All the people we met made us feel safe and welcome. What a lovely island culture!

Great view. Loved hanging out on the deck and accessing the beach when at the beach house. Scented drier sheets permeated the air. Definitely would prefer an unscented and chemical free air space.

We wished we could have stayed longer at The Beach House. This is an amazing cottage high above the water, yet our adult daughters couldn't resist leaving the spacious deck and climbing down the stairs and rocks to discover the amazing beach left by the outgoing tide. With geese and shorebirds in the water, and other birds in the trees, we never knew where to look next. The compact cottage had everything we needed, but it was outside where we spent most of our time.

Texada

Lovely log cabin on Texada. Please note this is a paved road, but most are not paved, but gravel. It is a ways downhill to the beach so no beach access from the cabin if you have mobility issues. Cabin well stocked with what you need for cooking your own meals. Upstairs is only accessible by ladder. We had great adventures seeing the rare spotted turtles and climbing mountains. Unfortunately waterfall was dried up when we went in April.

Gem of a place on a gem of an Island

Solid place over looking the ocean and you get everything. Forest, water, even animals with deer greeting us in the morning.Place is fully equipped if you want to cook a dinner or just chill on a patio. Rooms are spacious and clean. Check in was such a breeze.

Clean, awesome quiet location. Perfect place to get away from all the hustle and bustle. Communication with the owner was top notch and the place was spotless when we arrived. This was just the perfect weekend getaway for us.

Quick winter stop over

This cottage was delightful - even in the winter - with the big picture window. We brought our own coffee, but there were no coffee filters or French press in the kitchen. However, there was coffee provided, which was weak filter pack coffee. It did the trick - first world problem!

Celebrating our 48th anniversary

A peaceful & quiet getaway. What the beach house lacks for in size, is more than made up for by it's beach front location with stunning views. Our 2 evenings were enjoyed on the deck, For us, the combo of watching whales, our bbq dinner, wine & sunshine was perfect.

The Beach House - August 10-17

The Beach House was the perfect place for us to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The island was quiet, the house was perfect. Spent most of our days sitting on the deck enjoying the wildlife that appeared - blue herons, Canada geese, loons, deer, eagles. I was able to crochet and relax my brain! Thank you for a fantastic week!

We cannot say enough good things about this location. The views from Nicole’s cabin are spectacular night and day. Great to use as a family base while exploring the island. Nicole is easy to get in touch with and was in communication with us as we needed during our stay. We look forward to visiting again.

Breath Taking Views

Truly enjoyed three lovely nights and days at the Beach House on Texada Island. Location is amazing with views west of Vancouver Island. Gillie's beach below the house. Beach House is well equipped with comfy beds and linen, small comfy sitting area and dinning area and a gorgeous deck. Lots of exploring to do around the island. We ventured on to Anderson Bay road - which was an adventure - used all of the SUV 4X4 features. Highly recommend this place.

Good, but not perfect

This was our first time on Texada Island! The view from the Beach House was beautiful and the location was excellent. We were staying next door to more family, so it was nice to have a big family trip. The Beach House mostly suited our needs when it came to space. There were a few issues when it came to the property being ready for us though. They’re in the middle of redoing their deck, so it was halfway completed when we arrived. They bought a new bbq but it wasn’t set up, same with new umbrellas that weren’t set up, and the dishwasher wasn’t emptied. The kitchen also could have been stocked better with more cutlery and better frying pans, etc. None of these were big issues, but they were noticeable. It should be mentioned that when we openly discussed some of these things being issues for us on the deck (e.g., the dishwasher, the bbq, the umbrellas), we soon received an email from the property owner mentioning those exact issues. There is a Ring camera on the property right next to where we were talking, and we’re fairly certain the owner was listening to our conversation. While she did a great job resolving our issues, this is a major invasion of privacy! Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and the view was wonderful, but we felt it necessary to point out some of these issues with the property.

Great location - but not in great shape

We stayed 2 nights June 2024. The location is lovely. The space wasn’t maintained like the ratings advertised. The deck was completely covered with pollen, leaves and all the furniture needed cleaning. The BBq was still in a box not set up. ( annoying as we wanted to Bbq.) The sun umbrella was broken. Everything else was very basic. The property next door the sand dollar looked amazing! Same style cottage. But with all the amenities set up and working when we chatted with the neighbours.
