Great location and our granddaughter loved coming over to play pool. Discovered a bit about myself - while I love nesting and being cozy at home I need more light. Having said that we did sleep in without guilt as it was quiet and cozy.

Great weekend

Myself and my brother had a wonderful time at Rae’s suite. He met us outside the property and showed us the place. Rae is very friendly and a great host. Location is good and it’s nice and quiet. We loved the pool table. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful location and property! Host is a super-friendly awesome guy too. There are neighbors beside the unit (detached) who offer homemade veggie and vegan meals for a nominal extra cost which I highly recommend, our was amazing! I'd recommend reaching out to the host before arriving to get directions as the Google Map location is not accurate.

Thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay in this one-bedroom suite. Although technically in Gibsons, we felt like we were in the middle of the forest and more like in Roberts Creek - the grounds are peaceful and beautiful. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen set-up contained enough equipment for creating and BBQing simple meals, including mini-fridge with small freezer compartment that worked to keep our ice packs frozen, a portable induction element, microwave, and toaster oven. We enjoyed being able to watch our own shows from home in the evening on the big smart TV. The queen bed was comfortable and the bedroom had plenty of plugs for charging our devices. Loved the walk out to the patio and propane grill. Lovely to sit and listen to the birds with a glass of wine.   We recommend this accommodation and hope it will be available on our next trip to the Sunshine Coast.

The unit was a basement unit with poor sunlight during the day. The bedding was washed but with a super strong odor. The sofa bed in the living space had a strong odor too. Location is a bit hard to find. Plus side, the bath room is fairly clean and upgraded. Pool in the living space is great. Other renters are quiet.

Calling this upscale is a stretch. Was unfinished in places (holes in ceiling, wires haning out of the wall, furniture was rough). Not a kitchenette nor vehicle electrical charging station as described under amenities. Disappointed and not as decribed.

On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the place was quiet and dark allowing us to sleep in. The bathroom was very nice with a great steam shower. There was a patio with a barbecue. On the negative side, the directions were poor and Google Maps did not get us there. Fortunately the host called when we didn’t arrive when expected and directed us in. Our initial impression of the property was not good as the grass was not cut and the property looked unkempt. The sheets were not fresh smelling when we arrived. There was only a very heavy duvet on the bed with no top sheet. We did find other sheets and a lighter blanket thrown (not folded) in the closet and these required laundering. Fortunately there was a clean insuite laundry. There were also no sheets to fit the pullout although the ad said the property sleeps 4. We found a dirty frying pan in the drawer and the knives were very dull. Overall, we would rate it a 6/10.

Great amenties but

When you're spending over $5xx bucks for two nights, you expect the bed to be restful. We barely slept for 8/9 hours over two nights as the mattress definitely needs a change. My hips were in pain when I woke up. The pillows were completely worn out. I realized later that there were two more pillows that might have helped. Moreover, the smell on the extra thin blanket was awful. Lastly, the main blanket was super thick, and never found the right balance to sleep. We were either too hot in it or too cold in it. We should've gone to a motel or something to use other amenities like the sauna (which was uneven, so you have to keep switching around). Overall, it was not worth it at all. The kettle and the hairdryer were helpful. There's no cooking range, there was an electric cooker and olive oil if you want to cook anything. The fridge was cute however, I wouldn't put groceries for more than a day or two, as it is small and not powerful. The room and outside area had different temperature control systems, which was great to have too.

I had a lovely two-night stay here with my fiancée. The pool table was a highlight and we spent loads of time enjoying it. The bed was comfortable, and overall the space felt private and relaxing. Ray was a great host - very accommodating and set out the barbecue for us, which worked perfectly. Check-in and check-out were easy. We genuinely didn’t have any issues during our stay. The only small note is that the check-out instructions mention putting dishes in the dishwasher, but we couldn’t locate one. It wasn’t a problem at all. We just washed everything ourselves, but it might be worth updating the instructions to avoid confusion. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely recommend it!
