Perfect little cottage for our little dogs and us
We stayed overnight on our way up the north coast. The cottage was made up so welcoming for us and our little dogs, with a lovely self cook breakfast hamper and a great space for the doggies to explore around the cottage the next morning.

Very convenient, unique stay with great food
Easy to get to off the main highway, quiet, lots of grass and room for fur babies and Deb was amazing. She looked after us with great food and fuelled us for our ongoing trip. Would stay again.

Warm welcome to charming Old Post Office
Great for Bruno and human parents. We love the special treats at the doggy corner. We explored the old school playground and enjoyed the swing under the tree and the unusual gum tree with green branches Corymbia torelliana. The breakfast hamper included ham and fresh eggs which were appreciated along with the fresh finger limes from the garden complemented our pasta dish for dinner.

Fantastic alternative for pet friendly accommodation
Our host Deb provides dining choices. We ordered a platter for four as we were meeting up with old friends while travelling from QLD to NSW. Deb provided an amazingly generous platter ( ordered from her website) and it was such a lovely stay knowing that our dog Bonnie was genuinely welcomed. Yes, it is rustic, but such a better alternative to so many ‘pet friendly’ offerings that are on offer in the older style motels you find on the highway. Highly recommend!

A wonderful property packed with many inclusions. We and our dog loved it. We highly recommend dinner - very yummy and generous Only drawback is the closeness to highway noise.

Underneath the camphor trees
What a delight to stay in a property that truly welcomes your pet. Our Parker had the best of times here and so did we. We were very spoiled, with treats being left out for both us and the pooch along with a very generous breakfast hamper. This heritage building has been lovingly maintained - a real little treasure!

Charming but road noise
The cottage is cute with a charming history. The host was most obliging and the property had everything. The host provided a delicious meal as an extra. The only negative is its proximity to the freeway - 100m. As a result you can hear the freeway traffic. Nontheless, I would still consider this place as a convenient overnight stopover.

Pet Friendly Oasis
A perfect place for a pet friendly stop whilst travelling on the Pacific Highway. Most important for me travelling alone was the ability to receive a delicious home cooked meal. I will be back.

Highly recommend!
We had an amazing stay with Deb, she was incredibly welcoming and I have to say, if you stay you really need to order from her catering menu, the food was amazing and it was so nice to just turn up after a day's traveling and have a sensational meal waiting for you! Perfect property for pups, wonderful large yard for them to explore on lead complete with cows over the fence. We will definitely be booking again. Thanks Deb for a most enjoyable stay.

Excellent pet friendly stopover for our long road trip
Beautiful little historical property. Thoughtfully decorated and with every amenity for your stay. All farm fresh breakfast items in the fridge complimentary as well as home cooked meals that can be ordered at a very reasonable price so no need to go out. Excellent location for a night stopover. Host very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Old Post Office B&B
Lovely stay at Deb's B&B. The open space and adjoining farm makes for a lovely rural stay very close to Taree. Deb has done a wonderful job in making this B&B quaint. Deb was excellent when our circumstances prevented us having to cancel an earlier booking. It was good to finally make the trip south and we enjoyed meeting Deb in person.

Overnight stay
Property very well presented, charming. Although near highway, quiet inside. Very comfortable, all needs and more provided for, even for my little poodle. Directions need to be more accurate and spoke with owner about this upon leaving. When next going up the north coast, will definitely make another stay.

Expensive for what you get
Easy going, short of water pressure and short on hot water. Furniture uncomfortable eating area crowded and small. Cooking stove slow and not suitable for cooking. Deb was kind and easy going

I’m sorry you weren’t entirely happy with the cottage as I strive to make it comfortable for guests. The hot water is not a huge tank but I’ve never had anyone comment that there isnt enough hot water or that the pressure is low, there should be more than enough especially for one person It’s a shame you had issue with the cooking facilities, I’ve cooked in there and find the oven and stove hot enough, there is also a microwave, electric frypan and BBQ facilities The kitchen table can be extended to make it bigger and the photos clearly show the size of it

Wonderful overnight stop
Charming little cottage a mere 2 minutes from the Expressway, perfect for an overnight stop. Beautiful homely touches everywhere, super comfy bed. We were made to feel so welcome by the owner, special little treats for our dog too. We will definitely use this in future travels north.

Historical charm and very pet-friendly
Deb has set up this delightful historical building as a cosy and comfortable b&b for humans and pooches. It is immaculately clean and has every mod con you could rrquire. We also arranged for Deb to prepare a meal and special dessert as we were travelling on my husband's birthday and they both proved fresh and delicious. Would strongly recommend this place as a half-way stop between Canberra and Brisbane.

Old world charm
Although only one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable, heating very effective and the breakfast provided was more than we expected. Everything you could want was available and even our loveable poodle Molly was well looked after with treats. We hope to be able to stay again, with a bit more time to explore the local area.

Perfect overnight stay
The property was just as described and Deb was a wonderful host. The cottage was very clean, cosy and the little extras provided in the way of snacks for us and our little schnauzer were very much appreciated. We will definitely stay here again on our trips to Sydney.

Midway stay Bne-Cbr
Second time for us stopping at the this lovely little cottage. Deb is a great host, the cottage has many little extras that help make for a comfortable visit for both hoomans & doggos. Beautiful place to stop!
This is a great little cottage and we will definitely be coming back. It is extremely well presented and perfectly located for a highway stop. Deb has set out the interior with every detail taken care of. Fully stocked kitchen with Breakfast, snacks, coffe and tea - even a chocolate or two for desert. The property is huge with heaps of room for our dog to run and play in the fully fenced yard. He was in heaven! It is very close to the highway, but don’t let that put you off. We slept soundly in a warm and comfortable bed. Deb was the ultimate host who has thought of everything. Thanks very much!

A heritage property which has been modernised but retains much of the original ambiance. Deb (the owner who lives nearby) communicated helpfully, ensured that everything was in readiness and includes a variety of provisions including everything for breakfast which was wonderful. She is also planning to fence off a safe dog enclosure in the near future.

Lovely Home Away from Home

Homely, History and Heaps of Happy Paws!!
The Ghinni Ghinni Old Post Office is a great place to stay with all the comforts of home as well as the hosts more than generous complimentary foods and beverages. Deb is very welcoming and all her efforts in such a short space of time has paid off to provide a home away from home.
