Perfect location, charming home

The home is clean and comfortable with a well appointed kitchen, period decor, and room to spread out. It's within walking distance of many shops, bars, restaurants and Gettysburg curiosities. The grocery store across the street is convenient. And the dedicated parking is appreciated.

Great stay at Gettysburg Retreat

We had six people stay at the house and had plenty of room for all of us to fit comfortably. The house is fully furnished, very close to all the shops and restaurants, and has a convenient grocery store across the street. We enjoyed all of the Civil War relics, books, and photos that are placed in the house. Communication with Sandee was excellent and the process to check in and out was great. I would recommend the Gettysburg retreat if you are looking for a civil war era home that is clean, spacious, and convenient to the downtown area.

Very clean and cozy historical home. Loved the decor and furnishings. House was well supplied with everything we needed. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, etc. and a nice store right across the street.

We all loved our visit here at the Gettysburg Retreat. The home was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and well stocked! Our family couldn't have enjoyed a better time together. We will definitely be back for another visit!

Amazing host and property

This house is truly amazing. Its in a great location, very clean and has the rustic feel. The host was absolutely amazing and communication with her was perfect. She would always reply quickly. I highly recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Gettysburg. Sandee thank you so much for making this an amazing trip and for being the amazing host you are. If i return to Gettysburg i will definitely book this property again.

Hubby’s 60th !!

The house is super clean and stocked with everything needed. Plenty of room for me, my husband and our 3 adult children and my daughter in law. Walkable to everything Civil War….park and walk!!! Fabulous!! Highly recommend!!

Great Retreat!

The house is amazing. Perfectly decorated with an extensive library and dvd collection about Gettysburg and the civil war. The location is great too, easy walking distance to the square. Also, a supermarket right across the street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Staying in Historic Gettysburg in a house with personality

Property was very clean. It was interesting staying in a property that was there during the civil war. It some ways it was like living in a museum with all the antiques and civil war related reading material.

We stayed twice!

The location is fantastic. Everything in town is within walking distance. We stayed for a week during Thanksgiving, then came back a few weeks later to stay during the Christmas holiday. While we were away Sandee decorated for Christmas which was wonderful. Comminication was easy and quick.

Loved the house.

Loved the house. Location is perfect for us . One suggestion, is to have small separate hooks for hand towels especially for the downstairs bathroom. Overall we just love the house!

Gettysburg retreat

Had a great time at the Gettysburg retreat. I would like to thank the owners for letting us stay at their home for the weekend. They were great to work with their home is very accommodating just one block from the center of downtown Gettysburg And all the main attractions. Would recommend staying at the Gettysburg retreat to anyone plan on going back in the spring.
