This place was breathtaking! It’s a place that you’d see on one of the travel shows that you’d be wanting to travel to! We had snow and lots of it which was a relief! The tree house is incredible!!! It is by far the coolest place we’ve ever stayed! We went to winter park which was a hour away and then walking with the wolves at the garden of the gods. Also many restaurants in Idaho springs about 20 mins out. Casinos are close and you can also go to monarch casino they have a great Latin food restaurant in there! My kids thought this was the most awesome place! Treasure hunting and scavenger hunts as well as you can get ATVS delivered and that was tons of fun! Shopping in Golden too which is about 40 mins! This place is very clean and updated and also the host is awesome! He checks in and is so helpful. One more thing I loved is that the rental is private which is really nice for quiet and relaxing time! I would recommend this place over and over again. Was such a memorable trip for our family!

We enjoyed celebrating our son's 30th birthday at the cabin. The cabin and treehouse are beautifully properties in a beautiful area. We enjoyed seeing a mother moose and her baby walk passed the window.Brian was a pleasure to work with and responded quickly.The treasure hunt in the cabin was one of the high lights of the trip. It was a well-planned and mind engaging experience. Imagine an escape room experience spread between the cabin and tree house. The difference is that you can relax, enjoy everyone's company and not feel like you are trapped in a room. Brian did a great job on planning the experience.I would rank this as my best VRBO experience to date.Great job, Brian.

We had the absolute best stay! This trip was extra special as it was my birthday weekend, and Brian truly went above and beyond. Due to a power outage, we were running on generator only, and Brian checked in on us multiple times to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of.Every detail in the cabin and treehouse was thoughtfully done and didn’t go unnoticed. We especially loved feeding the birds—it was such a fun and memorable touch. My 3-year-old son loved every single moment of our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back!

I can’t say enough about this little slice of heaven! We were only there for two nights and I felt all stress leave me completely! The treehouse and cabin are amazing, that's obvious from looking at the pictures, but Brian's attention to detail and his responsivenss set this property apart. I've rented homes on many apps and Brian is by far the most accommodating host I've encountered. This property is an ultimate destination for relaxation and a bit of adventure, we enjoyed the history and the activities and plan on returning when our kids get a little older.

We really enjoyed our time at the Treehouse. Even our teens appreciated and participated in all the fun activities the ultimate treehouse has to offer. We never had to leave the cabin. We picked up groceries and Beau Jo’s pizza in Idaho Springs and then hunkered down for the weekend. There is enough to do on sight between the 2 treasure hunts, metal detecting for coins, and games galore… we even brought a book to take a book. Everything is so charming and well thought out. We really appreciated all Brian and his family did to make this such a remarkable experience. And when we had questions (or needed help on the treasure hunt) Brian was immediately responsive. He is an excellent host!! For buddy system purposes, there are 3 queen beds: one in the treehouse and 2 in the main cabin. Our girls are older and like to sleep in a bed alone so we let them have the cabin and my wife and I took the treehouse. A memorable experience that we will never forget!

Cabin was totally private, written rules and directions were everywhere, enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrel, pellet fireplace warmed cabin nicely, well stocked to make preparing meals easy, Owner provided timely communication and the addition of the Treasure Hunts was a BIG plus (took us 8 hrs. to complete the indoor one).

Perfect cabin and treehouse! The most relaxing and adventurous place we have been! My husband did find buried treasure with the provided metal detector! 2010 silver dollar by the creek! We also dug up a square frying pan! Added it to the stack of metal and we found a quarter and a nickel! Possibly found a wee bit of gold specks while panning in the creek! Found both scavenger treasure! Those kept us busy! The mountains are absolutely stunning in that area! The place is amazing and the owners thought of everything! We all loved it! We will be back!

It's not always that an experience lives up to your hype and expectations, but this place absolutely does! The cabin is well-equipped and cozy, just like you'd want in the middle of the woods. The deck was a great place for our family to enjoy meals, roast marshmallows, and watch hummingbirds (so many hummingbirds!). A short walk takes you to a patio by the creek, or into the woods, or up into the hills (this turns into a not-so-short, punishingly steep hike).But it's really the treehouse that steals the show. As soon as you start walking over the bridge from the cabin to the treehouse, you know you're heading for something special. Every room makes great use of the space, so you never feel cramped despite being in a house squeezed between a few trees. The finishes are top-notch, and there's a lighting preset for every mood. Adults can make coffee and cocktails, while kids can play and climb up from the ground beneath the deck to the very top level.Finally, if you've got some time, take on the scavenger hunt. It might take you a while! But it is extremely clever and gets you to explore more nooks around the property.Suffice it to say, we had a great time and plan to stay again!

The Absolute Very BEST place to stay!

WOW!!! This was undeniably the best VRBO experience we have ever had—simply spectacular! This property is a gem beyond compare!From the instant we stepped foot on this property, the love and attention to every detail was apparent. The main cabin's expansive windows, both in the living space and the loft, framed views of the forest outside. The kitchen was well stocked, and we used the grill outside even though there was more than a foot of snow on the ground. The sound system indoors and out was amazing along with phenomenal lighting all around us. And THE TREEHOUSE! The treehouse offered a truly one of a kind experience. It is designed so beautifully, with every amenity, and the craftsmanship is stunningly perfect. Our family thoroughly enjoyed feeding the many birds around the cabin. We even fed the friendly squirrel that came around for some nuts. The scavenger hunt was also very fun and challenging. We played many games and enjoyed the fire from the pellet stove.This has been our absolute favorite place to stay! Brian is an exceptional host and we cannot wait to return for the summer to witness 100's of hummingbirds, enjoy the outdoor scavenger hunt, the creek and many hiking trails. Thank you for everything! We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate a birthday and engagement!!

Brian went above and beyond to make our stay fun and comfortable. The pictures online are accurate and the cabin was perfect for our family. The new treehouse is beyond anything… truly exceptional in all ways. We had the best time feeding the birds, hiking the private trail, listening to the creek and cooking in the well stocked kitchen. Amazing Cabin Getaway

The attention to detail was incredible, and it's clear the owners take great pride in making this place unique. The treehouse offers a truly special experience, while the main cabin's large windows beautifully showcase the natural forest surroundings. At night, the property lights create a spectacular ambiance. We loved relaxing by the creek, taking short hikes around the grounds, and unwinding in the treehouse. Easy access to Golden Gate Canyon State Park and Black Hawk for some extra entertainment. Will return again soon.

Grandgirls Trip

OMG! This was my 3rd annual trip with 4 teen grandgirls and it was the only one we felt an emotional bond to the building and site! The place was so updated with technology and electronics yet very personable with instructions on how to use. The scavenger hunts (inside and outside) were very well thought out and challenging enough ( like and escape room) for 4 teenagers to b entertained for hours. Brian was an excellent host and has put so many comfortable, personal touches to the cabin and treehouse that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience.
