Flies, Filth & Frustration
Host approved request to host a micro wedding apx 20 guests day of the 23rd.
EXPECTATIONS
I planed to sleep there for two days with just my husband to further enjoy my stay and soak in the view, maybe the hot tub or jetted bath.
REALITY
Filth. I don't mean a bad cleaning turn over... I mean absolute filth, Hundreds of dead flies...The lights in the bedroom, window ceils, molding, furniture. Ants over swam the kitchen as soon as as I attempted to cook a meal then the oven didn't work. The host never informed us.
The basement smells of something rotting. The tiles are cracked all in the master bathroom. Also extremely unkempt with the bath tub having streaks of dirt everywhere. Also no bathroom outlets worked upstairs. We had to stay at a hotel because of the filth
We couldn't sleep there and booked a hotel.
The host is extremely problematic and aggressive. Refused to believe the filth his property had become.
I'm home and I'm extremely busy. I notice I keep getting messages from VRBO but at this point I just wanted to block it out and was busy with work. I just received a message on 05/04/2023 so I finally went back into my account and I see all of Earl's messages. He finally admitted that it was a bad turnover (completely missing the point) and without asking gave me a refund of $70.00 He did the refund twice ($140 total.) His messages were pleas and threats all for a refund of $70. I believe the property is for sale because of how distressed its become.
