We can’t say enough amazing things about our stay! Jack sent us so many lists of things to do before our trip! He was always very quick to answer and respond to any questions or concerns we had. Kay was there to great us and show us around. We used the dock, patio, kayaks daily. We cooked all of our meals with the exception of 2 meals. Kitchen is well stocked. The cottage was perfect for us grandparents and the rest of our family enjoyed the main house. Off the dock… we saw sea turtles, stingrays, starfish,crabs and plenty of colorful fish. The grandkids enjoyed jumping off the dock at high tide and the swings. There were 7 of us total and plenty of room! We also walked out to sandbar at low tide.

Jacks place - shipwrecked, was everything in the description and more! My group of 6 had the absolute best time. The home was perfect for 2 families. We had plenty of space to spread out but also a great common area to hang out. The screened in porch was amazing. Great views overlooking the water. Cay the property manager took great care of us before our trip by having the kitchen and fridge stocked with groceries from our list. They have thought of everything. If you stay there you absolutely do not need to bring anything but your clothes and basically all you need is a swimsuit and coverup. From kayaks, paddle boards, floats, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, beach towels, down to the sunscreen it’s all there. I would not even think about looking for a different place to stay on my next visit. Don’t think about it, just book it.

The spot was perfect for my family’s first international vacation together! Jack and Kay were very proactive in their communication and hospitality. The waterfront and accessories to enjoy it made us spend most of the week on the property and the surrounding sandbars. The screened-in porch allowed for most of our cooking thanks to the grill, pizza oven, and large burner while also letting us enjoy being outside for the majority of our stay.The spot was quiet even with construction happening on one side and a dog rescue on the other. We loved the local wildlife passing through the property (frogs, snails, sand crabs, and the occasional puppy).This place made for a memorable vacation!

Most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed. Our host Jack and Cay were wonderful. The accommodation had everything you need. Super comfortable huge beds. Great showers, my favourite was the outdoor shower. We sat on the dock every day in the comfortable chairs watching as nurse sharks, stingrays and even a turtle swam past along with loads of little fish all swimming in that beautiful turquoise water. We could snorkel and swim right there. The house was equipped with kayaks and beach chairs. There was even a big outdoor bathtub. The best equipped house ever. And the location! It was like staying in paradise. And there’s washers and dryers so you don’t have to pack any wet things. We loved it here and had a great stay. We had pizzas on evening in the pizza oven which worked really well. We bought a grouper from Cays fisherman son and that fed us for 2 days. You can’t get fresher than that. Jack gave us loads of information on how to make the most of our stay with tours and excursions. Highly recommend.

The location on the water was perfect! The cottages had everything we needed as well as all the water equipment. The screened in porch and outdoor kitchen was amazing! We lived outside and literally just came inside to sleep. Jack and Kay were both amazing and we definitely plan on returning!

Our family had an amazing time staying at Shipwrecked on Great Exuma! We were an extended family with 2 couples and 4 kids. There was something for everyone. A perfect beach for building sandcastles, a perfect dock for jumping into the water at high tide or watching sunrises and sunsets, and a perfect area for snorkeling and finding fish, crabs, starfish, and even stingrays! The water was calm enough to relax, float, and allow my 3 year old niece to swim with her floaties on! We used the kayaks several times and cooked every meal in the outdoor kitchen- which was fully equipped. Jack and Kay were so helpful with activity ideas and quickly responded every time we had a question. We would definitely stay here again. The property was clean, well stocked, and beautiful as advertised. The island itself was easy to explore with several other beautiful beaches and some delicious spots to grab drinks and appetizers (and meals if you wanted to!) Thank you for allowing us to rest and relax in your beautiful beachfront home!

I rented this home for my son and his friends while I had to stay behind for an unexpected work obligation, and they had an excellent experience. According to them, the house was wonderful—modern, comfortable, and very well maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the entire property had a cool, peaceful vibe that made it a great place to unwind.The only real challenge was getting there. Several nearby roads are washed out, so the route was a little confusing, and Google Maps fell short. Fortunately, the owner provided detailed photo directions that made all the difference. Just be aware that the drive in from the main highway can feel a bit like a maze the first time you make it.Once they arrived, though, everything about the stay was fantastic. My son highly recommends the place, and based on their experience (and the owner’s responsiveness), so do I.

The screened in outdoor kitchen is fabulous!! We used the pizza oven, flat top griddle, and grill and loved it! Another perk was there were cleaning supplies and a broom/vaccum left out for us - so nice to keep the place tidy!Super comfy beds!!Being right on the ocean was perfect for morning snorkeling/kayaking/paddleboarding. And the dock is awesome for evening sunsets.Jack was so helpful, putting us in touch with whatever we were looking for. Best host we've ever had at a VRBO!! We would stay here again 100%!!

Our stay at Jack’s house was absolutely perfect! Jack is the best host we have ever had in a rental property. The house was stocked with everything we needed and then some, and his communication was top notch. We arrived right as a tropical storm was beginning and Jack stayed in constant contact making sure we were good. The house has a generator, so we kept power during the 36 hours when the storm was passing, which made staying in from the storm easy. Jack had so many suggestions for restaurants and activities—so helpful for us as first time visitors to Exuma. The house was clean and comfy, the air conditioner works great, and the screened in porch let us be outside in the early morning and evenings without having to worry about the bugs biting. Last but not least, the beach and the dock, easily our favorite part of the property!! The water is so shallow and calm at low tide, perfect for young kids and exploring. At high tide our kids (8 & 11) loved jumping from the dock and snorkeling under it! We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to come back!

We had a great stay at Jack's Shipwrecked house. There was plenty of room for us and our two grown sons. They really enjoyed the Bungalow!We had so much fun on the patio and loved the beautiful sunsets every night.The house has everything we needed! Its in a great, central location. And Jack knows everyone on the island and can tell you all you need to know!

Spent a relaxing week at Shipwrecked. Jack and his team were great and responded quickly to concerns. Enjoyed the large, screened in porch (experienced a lot of rain during our stay). Had hoped there might have been more beach/sand space. What you see in photo above is about it. This is definitely a personal preference. Large deck is enjoyable with plenty of lounges. Visited Eleuthera last year and it shares the same challenges with road conditions as Exuma. You must have a rental for the overall convenience of getting around. Can’t imagine trying to get and pay for taxis/rides. Property is well off the main road, Queens Hwy. The side roads between the house and main road are extremely rough and almost impassable. Can really do a number on your car if you are not very careful. Jack was a great host from start to finish. He provides so much information about things to do, restaurants, evening entertainment, contacts for services, and just about anything you may want. Many fish to watch around dock. When weather cooperates, you have a beautiful sand bar at low tide right in front of the property to explore. Kayaks and standup paddle boards there for your use as well as other floatation and snorkel gear. Beautiful and very impressive appliances for outdoor cooking in screened porch area. Unique property with two separate structures for guests. All bedrooms have a king bed, loft with queen and a twin bed in nook area. Kitchen only in main guest house. Nice property overall.

We had an awesome time. Sharks, stingrays, starfish, sand dollars, you name it, we found it. Rented a boat at Minns…awesome, rented Jet Skis…awesome. House is just like the pics, we cooked in outdoor kitchen almost every night. We had no issues and it suited our family just fine. Cay and Jack are very responsive and provided us with every answer and detail we inquired about.

Wow! What an incredible location! We absolutely loved this house. The space. The outdoor (and indoor) kitchen. The well stocked home. The amazing host. We didn’t want to leave! Snorkeling/walking to the sandbar was so great! Kayaked and paddle boarded out our back door. The house manager is amazing and very helpful. The host has SO many fantastic recommendations about the area and activities. We thoroughly loved our stay and cannot wait to come back!!! Yes yes yes….book it!

A Perfect Family Getaway in ParadiseWe absolutely loved our stay at Shipwrecked! The home was spacious and thoughtfully laid out—perfect for our family of five, including two teenage boys who appreciated having their own space, and a younger child who also had room to unwind. My husband and I enjoyed the peace and privacy of our own suite as well.One of our favorite features was the flexibility of outdoor spaces. Whether we were soaking in the sun or relaxing on the screened-in porch during a rain shower, there was always a beautiful place to sit and take in the view. The private dock and the crystal-clear water were simply stunning, and we had a blast kayaking and playing in the sea. When we needed an extra kayak, the owner quickly brought one over—such thoughtful hospitality!The house was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, including plenty of towels and beach towels. Having two washers and dryers was a huge plus—it made post-beach laundry a breeze and cut the time in half.The location was ideal for exploring Exuma. While the road getting there was a bit bumpy at first, we quickly got used to it, and it was a small tradeoff for the peace, privacy, and incredible surroundings.Overall, Shipwrecked had everything we could have hoped for and more. It was the perfect base for our family adventure—with kids aged 18, 15, and 12—and we made memories we’ll never forget. Highly recommend!

Exuma 2025

We are a bonefish crew that visits Exuma often. This was by far the nicest place we have stayed. The accommodations were very comfortable and nicely supplied. And, everything was in workong order, which can be uncommon in these islands. Also noted, a backup auto genset is present and came in handy during a long outage. The road to the property os a little rough but we were able to manage with a minivan just fine. Lastly, all the pictures accurately describe the property.

A little slice of heaven

Best place to stay in Exuma hands down! We had an amazing stay at Jack place. Our favorite thing about his place is the outdoor kitchen & having your own little beach. We all slept like babies in the beds as well. Having everything you need right at your finger tips for a week is a plus. I definitely recommend stocking up on food before you arrive because you won’t want to leave! We all left so relaxed! We kayaked out to one of the islands. We saw giant sting rays & a baby shark. There is also a frequent visitor that we named nursey the nurse shark. The kids had a blast making sand castles right in front of the house. If you are looking for your home away from home this is it! Look no further & book it!! Thank you again Jack.

Loved staying here

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend trip to Exuma. Jack the host is great and very communicative. We’ve stayed at another one of his homes so we knew we would enjoy this one as well. Kay was also very pleasant and welcoming. She met us at the home and gave us a tour, made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. You could spend your day at the home and have plenty to do and explore. It’s also a nice place to come back to relax and watch the sunset. Everything was clean and nicely furnished. Shipwrecked lives up to the pictures and was the perfect home away from home for us. Jack is a very well prepared host with all kinds of information and helpful tips to make your stay memorable. From all kinds of information on the local area, a timely sent video of the best way into the property to being able to send a list to have Cay stock the kitchen for us made arrival as easy as it could be. The home is well stocked, comfortable and a fantastic place for the family to be. The private dock and small private sandy beach were perfect. The kayaks and paddle board we especially enjoyed in the evenings when the docile lemon sharks and sting rey’s came around for a visit. We really liked the enclosed outdoor kitchen where we made our meals and played games at the table. Our experiences with Ship Wrecked, Jack and Cay was wonderful and my family and I highly recommend staying here.
