Stayed here with husband and 3 kids over Spring Break. We really enjoyed the height and location of this condo (top floor, end unit). We could see further out onto the ocean than at many other rentals. It was fun to watch the fishing vessels out there, especially at night!
In the photos I saw that the decor was older, but I was not expecting to see an old style hotel phone and phone book! The dusty fake plants and 80s gold- framed art just need to go. But the mater bed was the worst. I saw that others had complained, and I thought, how bad can it be? Bad. Neither me nor my husband could sleep on it. I moved to the twin bed that was open and he slept in the couch. It's unacceptable. I told that to the office and they said the bed firmness is specified by the owner. I persisted and they offered us a slight discount for our stay. Beware of that bed!
It was strange to need to check-in across the street at the McMenamins pub. We circled the parking a couple of times to really believe we had to go there. The lady in the office was nice but seemed tired and annoyed by my questions when I needed to call the office later (in fairness, I did call a few times to complain), she actually handled it pretty well!
The kitchen was dirty. I wiped food splatters off cabinets, around the sink, from the dishwasher, the refrigerator, and even the picture hanging on the wall. Most of the plates, utensils, and pans were clean, but not all, we had to inspect them before using. There was one dish towel and one dishrag for a 5 night stay. They said they'd bring more if I needed, but they brought more bathroom washcloths and bath towels instead.
The lamps are the oldest I've ever seen in a rental and really dim. One of the bulbs was burned out and a guy came and replaced it when I called the office.
This building was built in the 70s and it looks it. It seems like they don't know what they want to be; a hotel or a condo rental. As a result, they're not doing either very well.
